We absolutely loved staying at the GardenFarm cottage. Bob is such an incredible host and made us feel right at home. We got to swim in a waterfall, roast marshmallows on the fire and our little two year old got to feed the chickens which was her absolute highlight. We were welcomed by a beautiful home made bread, some wonderful fresh chicken eggs and some delicious home grown spinach. Beautiful time to rest and reset in the country.

This was our third trip back to Gardenfarm and Walden cottage. Each time it seems to become more beautiful and relaxing. It was so good to see Bob - thank you again for your kindness and generosity! Our girls love to visit and this time was so special meeting Penny!
I highly recommend a stay at Walden cottage - and I have no doubt we’ll be back again!

We loved the natural beauty of the surrounding green hills and lush vegetation. The free ranging sheep, cows, chickens, geese and bonnie the sheep dog were welcome guests amongst our tents. The kids loved the natural pond and all the frogs and even had a swim or two on hot days. The nearby creek was also great fun for the kids.

We loved the camping experience. And also Bob was very friendly and helpful.Everything which is needed is available there like hot showers and drinking rain water and so many fruit trees and animals. We enjoyed a lot. Thank you for lovely camping site Bob.

Nice place for kids to experience farm life and being next to the stream was refreshing. The campground and facilities are shared with lots of other people hence was a bit dirty, long wait times, at times lacked hot water and full of dead insects. The shower head was broken on the first night but was quickly fixed the next day.
There were also animal 💩 everywhere so be sure to bring a scoop to clear them out before setting up the tent.
Overall, it was a good experience.

This was the perfect place to camp with my kids. I was after a place that would be quiet, that had a bush setting but also toilet and showers. Great farm with sheep, geese and Bonnie the dog. There’s even a lamb called skittles that thinks it’s a dog. The stream nearby put us to sleep with its constant white noise. The hosts were friendly too. Would definitely come back again if time permitted.

This was the perfect getaway for me and my friends. The farm animals was so cute and added so much to the garden atmosphere. Bob answered all my questions, offered more than what I needed and understood everything I needed. 100% recommendation to stay here.

What an incredibly special place. So peaceful and quiet. The bird life was spectacular and the sound of the river rustling by and the views was awesome. Bob was a most gracious host and we thoroughly enjoyed the company of Skittles the little lamb and playtime with Bonnie the Border Collie. If you want to just escape life! This is the perfect place to do so!

We had a perfect getaway trip here and loved the idyllic camping site. The weather was a bit wet when we stay but we still enjoyed the quiet and peaceful surroundings, the lovely farm animals, and the warm camp fire with plenty of firewoods. The bathroom was tidy and clean, the hot water shower was really hot and none stopping, the beautiful hostess was super kind and friendly, feeding the cute little lamb Skito was absolutely a bonus for the kids. There were plenty of nice places to go within an hour's drive, we were all glad that we booked this place instead of the crowded Wilson park camp site.

If you want to escape the bustling city and just relax and rejuvenate, the Walden cottage is perfect for you! You will be surrounded by geese, cows and sheep as well as rivers and mountains. Such a wonderful place to spend days exploring or admiring the mist rising while sipping your cuppa. We specifically enjoy taking our breakfast in the warmth of the cottage while watching the ducks landing in the pond.

We had a lovely stay at Bobs property. Tranquil setting waking to beautiful birds in the morning. Bob and Julieanne were great hosts. So many places to explore in the area. Highly recommend this Hipcamp spot.

We loved the camping experience. The views were spectacular and enjoyed a peaceful walk around looking at the rolling hills and stream. Would highly recommend Bob's place if your looking for some relaxation and easy set-up.

Wow! We loved camping on Bob's land. It is a very special place, paradise. It was so lush and green, the views were amazing. The cows nearby were lovely, the kids loved watching them. Bonnie the dog was very entertaining and extremely well behaved, great with kids. The facilities were really good and being a large group we really appreciated the extra toilet.

The campsite is amazing, such a bliss waking up to the beautiful sight of the valleys & the sounds of the stream. Toilets & hot showers were easily accessible, & we enjoyed walking around the massive compound & going for a dip in the stream. Was greeted by the lovely Bonnie who was such a welcoming & entertaining companion throughout our stay :) Bob is a lovely host who accommodated for our large group of 20+, can’t thank you enough & would definitely recommend this place!

Walden Cottage at Gardenfarm is simply fantastic. The cottage has all the facilities you need for a stay, comfortable beds and a hot shower! Gardenfarm is in a beautiful location and Bob (and Bonnie) couldn’t be a better host! This was our second visit, and we will definitely be back again.

Nice peaceful campsite on a quiet farm. Bonnie the dog will keep your kids busy throwing sticks. Yarram and Tarra bulga national Park in driving distance. An enjoyable getaway for kids who want to see a farm.

We had an amazing time at Bob's farm. The campsite was spacious, clean, firewood provided, beautiful walks and a very friendly host, Bob. The kids could play safely on the farm, there is even an old trampoline. Hot shower was a great bonus!
We will definitely be back :)

A beautiful and peaceful location with a bubbling creek, rambling hills and trees for miles. Lots for the children to do and lots of places to explore. The nearby watering hole was a highlight too. It was a bit busier than we usually like with 5 or so extra families nearby but it was Easter. My only concern is that the toilet and shower was not cleaned over the four days. For $25pp/night and with 35+ people using the facilities it would've been nice.

Absolutely amazing, better than we expected. It was idyllic. The camp area was lush and level, perfect for pitching a tent, there was lots of room and plenty of wood for the fire. The kids loved Bonny the dog and exploring the area, the babbling of the stream at night was relaxing. The location fantastic. Bob organised a reflexologist for some of us on the Saturday which was great. We were close enough to Woodside beach so went there on Sat arvo. On the Sunday we went to the nearby waterfalls and the icing on the cake was horse riding for the kids just up the road at Happy Healthy Horses, run by the amazing Anna. Bob was a terrific host and we'll definitely be back.

We loved the lush grass, sound of running water, neverending supply of firewood, geese, Beutiful Border collie named Bonnie, great access to shower, toilet and water. Also the host was very friendly, but gave us plenty of privacy. Thanks Bob!
