The farm backs onto the Mt Alfred State Forest and is close to the beautiful Mitchell River National park. Mt Alfred is a fantastic forest with many great tracks to explore on horse back, mountain bike or on foot. Horses and dogs are welcome. There is plenty of space on a large, grassy flat area for camping and parking. There are paddocks for horses and a guide is available. The farm and surrounding bush is an Owl habitat and the property has an amazing abundance of bird life. It is just 25 minutes from Bairnsdale and the Gippsland lakes where you can explore the beautiful beaches and walking tracks. There are shops available for basic supplies within 10 minutes. We have a fire pit for you to light a campfire. There is a drop toilet and shower. Idyllic Camping with Horses
What a wonderful place to stay with our horses. We couldn't have asked for more friendly and hospitable hosts in Tony and Rhonda.. It felt like we were bush camping with a little extra. It was so comforting to have our horses in secure paddocks and we also felt safe and secure. Not to mention the lovely riding in the Mt Alfred bush which was literally just outside the gate. Following some guided rides with Tony, we then felt confident to explore on our own. We'll be back for more.

Perfect friendly and helpful hosts. Sparkling clean basic amenities. Beautiful setting. Abundance of wildlife. Great camp for horses and wonderful riding in the Alfred State Forest.

I loved to camp at Flaggy Creek Farm Camp. The land is perfectly flat and it has complete facilities for camping. It is very quite and the owners are lovely people. If I go again to the Gippsland region I will camp again in this farm.

Mt Alfred Camping and Horse Riding
We had a great time staying at Flagg Creek. The site was private, offering a shelter, camp fire pit and even a toilet. We paid for firewood, and this was more than ample for our stay. Tony even showed us their ponies and horses, and shared some great stories. Would definitely stay again.
