Dufholme Bunk Room
We loved Duffholme. It has a quiet magic. If you spend a few days here you will slow down and appreciate the little moments again. We stayed in the bunk cabins and brought our sleeping bags. This was lots more comfortable than tent camping and we had access to hot showers and the wonderful ballroom. If you had a group it is a wonderful place to hang out. We had a gas stove which complemented the microwave and other appliances provided. Opposite the park is a beautiful bush walk that was alive with spring flowers and birds. The camp is close to Arapiles and birdwatching lakes. Highly recommend getting a kebab in Horsham from the Turkish place near St John’s.

We had a very brief overnight stay here. Directions were easy to follow, even at night with some light rain. The facilities were easy to find and clean.
Our host was lovely, with Rob coming out to say hello and share a couple of stories about their time in the region.
I would definitely stay here again, it is a great halfway point between Adelaide and Melbourne with some great scenery around the region

I enjoyed my stay with my 2 friendly dogs. The hosts were friendly, very accommodating to my situation. The amenities were clean and very well maintained. The location was scenic , the local pubs and cafes were also very friendly and quality goods were on offer. I would definitely recommend Duffholme as a positive stay experience

After a classic Australian stay? This is it - great spot with terrific sunset views of Mt Arapiles from the top paddock. We had booked the bunkhouse but as it was under repair Denise and Rob upgraded us to the very comfortable and very clean cabin. Thanks for a great stay!

This camp was close to Mount Arapiles and right on the main road through to South Australia. There is a lovely history to the place and replica hut with a lovely story and relics on display. It was a handy place to stay and the amenities were sufficient but very basic. We stayed in a shearing quarter style accommodation, and it was fitted with basic appliances that made our stay more comfortable. Our dogs were welcomed, but you need to be aware that an old dog belonging to the owners is very friendly and hard to keep away from the accommodation entry. Bring drinking water and comfortable camp mattresses to put over the hard beds if you stay in any of the shearing quarters. Make sure you call the owner directly after booking on Hipcamp as they had no idea that I had made the booking. Hipcamp don't seem to notify the owners so it pays to call ahead.

Basic bunkbed room, as advertised! We had a great night in the shared dining area, chilled out on the porch and played frisbee golf!
We travelled with our dog and all went well.
The owners don't get hipcamp notifications, so messenger them as soon as you have booked outside of the hipcamp app.

Bush camping at its best. Facilities were in good condition and Denise provided a warm welcome. We have a puppy retriever which upon walking the track of the farm and returning to the property the hosts neighbours dogs came over and were aggressive. Just a heads up. Otherwise all good.

Rustic surroundings. Great showers and appreciated the use of kitchen and lounge (extra cost).
We were in area specifically to explore Arapiles which was just down the road.

We had a lovely stay at Denise's hipcamp! It was perfect for our dog and 15 mins drive away from Mt Arapiles. We had views of sunsets and sunrises every day. There were toilets and hot showers which is crazy good to have whilst camping. Super cheap too :) Very private and each site is closed off to other sites. Only negative is freeway is right there so trucks can be noisy but just bring earplugs.

The toilets are in a great condition and theres a lot of bins and even a swings for the kids. The kitchens are not included like usually in campsites and the most important thing to know before arrival is that the mosquito amount is crazy. Opened the door of the camper just twice , and sprayed all the entrances around with DEET and yet whole night killed them and woke up bitten to the bone from little bastards. Same in the showers.

Bunk room accommodation was fine. Comfy, clean rustic bathrooms were also good.
Denise was away & I arrived late, but Rob & I managed just fine.
Very quiet peaceful location.
Definitely would stay for a few days when I can 🙂👏👏

Gorgeous farm nestled in the bush, all the simple amenities you need. Stone's throw from Mitre Rock and Mt Arapiles if you're rock-inclined, or peaceful walk about the farm will occupy many hours.

Easy to find and a very pleasant drive from Melbourne.
Spent three nights (Grand Final Weekend) dispersed camping.
We were greeted by Robert, who was a joy to talk to. He shared many stories of his time on the farm and of the local area.
Close to Grampians, beautiful country roads and townships, the little desert only 20 min away! .. Dulfholm is a perfect place to base camp .. though we spent most of our time enjoying the serenity of the farm.
We chose an isolated campsite halfway up a large paddock with a beautiful vista of the surrounding countryside, including the Mitre outcrop some 6kms in the distance. The site was perfect and we enjoyed simply wonderful sunrises each day
At night we were visited by kangaroos hopping by in the dark and on our second day, a large Goanna decided to visit within 3m of our camp.
The facilities are good but basic. we took advantage of the showers toilets and a little hot water to wash our dishes. We enjoyed all the farm animals, including a peacock, chickens, goats, guineafowl, geese, and a small pack of Cocker Spaniels, which were adorable.
We had gorgeous weather and the breeze at times was welcome as it kept the flies at bay. Definitely pack your Aeroguard or the flies will drive you crazy.
We will definitely be returning. It’s such beautiful countryside and a beautiful farm and friendly hosts.

Duffholmes was a great place to relax and unwind from the hustle and bustle of main parks. Denise and Rob where great hosts and helped out when needed! Definitely recommend staying here a night or 2 or 4!

Very Basic facilities but quiet, and still a major convenience step up from bush camping.
Camp kitchen is straight out of the 60's but functional.
Ablutions block is 2x cubicles and 1 shower per gender. But even on a "busy" Easter weekend, there was no lengthy queue time.
Multiple communal firepits are available with wood supplied. One is kitted out for cooking with 2x large hotplates and 1x large grill plate mounted on pivot points.
Choose your own camp site. Ground is sandy, spotted with some sort of small tussock grass. Careful planning of tent pitching is required to minimise the lumps in your sleeping position.

We loved Dufholme camp, our hosts Denise & Rob were very welcoming and knowledgeable about the area, and they checked in on us to be sure we were comfortable, the facilities were very clean and tidy and Rob directed us to a nice quiet spot up the top paddock. We definitely recommend it 👌, would love to come back to stay again. A lot of interesting replicas and artifacts from yesteryear to explore, as you walk around the property..a Lovely spot & great folks !

I booked with my family over Easter. There were a few other camping parties there (about 6 I would say). Very friendly hosts. There was the option of camping close to the toilet and shower in the front block near the road (separated from other campers by trees), or to go further into the property and pick your own space away from everyone else (but also far away from the amenities). The toilets and showers were basic but clean (great water pressure in shower). BYO toilet paper! There were a couple of firepits available, and a trampoline and swing set for kids. Overall great value for money and we had a good time.

Great camping area. Stayed here with the family. Wood supplied for a camp fire. Rustic amenities, very clean with excellent flushing toilet and good shower. Sand pegs are required.

Had a lovely stay at Denise’s property. We picked a secluded camp spot at the top of the back paddock and had our usual ‘bush camp’ experience while also being able to walk down the hill and enjoy the comforts of a hot shower, flushing toilet and tea/ play room facilities. Our three year old loved it, the farm animals were a bonus!

Peaceful unique place to rest after a long hot day, friendly down to earth Host. Hot shower and such a peaceful place to chill
So quiet I slept late in the morning. It's not your average park but it served us well and was most enjoyable with unspoilt surrounds. Thank you.

We had a good experience farm is rustic and friendly, played with dogs,goat and a sheep.Host Rob was very helpful and caring. Given the farm potential I feel it has more potential to offer with little more facilities.

Weather was patchy so we “cabin camped” and had a wonderful final night on our road trip. Super rustic but cozy shearers-quarters bunk room. Handy BBQ and camp kitchen, and we really enjoyed sitting around the fire pit after dinner too.
