King of the North the Ovens River
The Best Holiday a Dog Could Have
King of North didn’t really suit what we were after but after talking to Pete he was happy for us to move to another site on the property and even popped in to mow it for us before we set up. We ended up at Piper 2 with a lack of gum trees but nice tall shady trees on the bank (Eastern Side) and flat site. With our campers and awnings set up North South, they gave us shade in the afternoon so didn’t have to chase shade on hot sunny days. Our dog had the best holiday running around without anyone there which we were very lucky in having the whole place to ourselves and being able to swim at The Beach which was brilliant. We’re now talking of returning again because it was so peaceful yet so close to town.

It's such a lovely clearing right by the river which is so peaceful and feels remote but with all the advantages of being close to town. Kids and dogs loved the safe open spaces while we all enjoyed the serenity.
Peter and Paul were so easy to deal with and even checked on us to see if we needed water. Now that's service.

So close to Wangaratta main town centre with easy access to large sites. Great fishing spots and the kids enjoyed floating down the river on floating rings.

King of the North the Ovens River
Great spot close to town.
Great large area nice and quiet and away from the others right next tot he River. Not recomenended for small children as the current was quite strong but great spot to swim for adults. Clean, clear and lovely. The sand bank is actually across from the site and in accesable so dont expect that as a nice spotr to sjunbathe on...its all grass ( which is fine) on th camp site. Tons of fure wood and even a Fig tree.

Beautiful Camp Ovens
Awesome camp spot. Had the whole property to ourselves. Peter was great during we week before as the river was up and gave some options incase we couldn't get to the booked site. Would definitely be booking this camp again.

On The Billabong
