"Bush Retreat Farm Stay" is a gorgeous little farm nestled on the fringe of the Alberton West State Forest, with views of Wilsons Prom and the Strezleckie Ranges. The state forest has many walking tracks that go on for miles, perfect if you want to go horse riding, motor bike riding or mountain biking or put on a pair of comfy walking shoes to hit the many walking tracks to take in the beautiful bush setting with the occasional wallaby or kangaroo darting out of the bush across your path. We have the Great Southern Rail Trail just on our door step. It has now been completed from Nyora all the way through to Yarram. We have on of the entrances off Lanes Road. Close to all local attractions - Port Albert, Port Welshpool long jetty, Woodside's beautiful 90 mile beach, Tarra Bulga National Parks, spectacular Agnes Falls and Wilson's Prom. Our camp sites have plenty of room we don't believe in cramming too many campers on the same site, you have plenty of space. Suitable for large caravans, camper trailers, motor homes and RV's these can all can fit here easily. Sites 1 - 2 situated in a 4 acre paddock on the main farm. Perfect for small camper vans, roof top tents and motor homes. Site 3-5 situated on part of a 7 acre paddock with views of the hills and of the kangaroos that come onto the paddocks of a night out of the Alberton West State Forest. This site is perfect for larger vans, RV's, camper vans, roof top tents, motor homes. Campfires are permitted (When there are no fire bans). No loud music, bring a camping toilet with you and take all rubbish with you. You'll need to have your own amenities/be FULLY- self contained however if you don't have your own toilet, camp shower or fire pit you can hire them. We have an abundance of native birds on our property. Rosella's, Kookaburras, Wedge Tail Eagles and sometimes Galah's. Just down the paddock on dawn and dusk we have a mob of kangaroos that come out of the bush to graze.We are right on the doorstep of the Alberton West forest we have many walking tracks. There is a bbq if you wish to cook any food also a grill and a microwave in the accommodation (we do not allow camping gas cookers or any other cooker brought into the accommodation)  Separate entrance, plenty of parking.The area is completely separate from our living quarters with a locked door to separate the two, we do not have access to this area. You have the whole end of the house to yourselves we do not let rooms out separately. We look forward to hosting you!

We are right on the doorstep of the Alberton West forest we have many walking tracks. We have ducks and chooks and seasonal farm produce that you can purchase if it’s ready to harvest. Close to Port Albert, Tarra Bulga and Wilson’s Prom national parks, the township of Yarram and the beach. The space is 2 bedroom with a queen size and one double bed we sleep no more than 4 people in the house.The house has it's own lounge, flat screen tv, wifi & Netflix.Bathroom with a bath, dining area, Semi Kitchen, refrigerator, microwave, grill, kettle and toaster, crockery and cutlery & wine glasses. You couldn’t ask for more welcoming hosts than Sharyn & Colin! They went out of their way to show our kids around the farm, help feed the animals and make our stay fabulous and fun. The paddock is spacious and quiet and ideal for caravans. Easy to find and access. Highly, highly recommend!

Gorgeous secluded spot! We were alone in the paddock both nights and there was loads of space. Gorgeous sunrise and sunsets and so quiet. Wandered down to say hello to the animals on night 2 and it was so special! Sharyn and Colin are super lovely- thanks for everything!

Colin & Sharyn were very helpful and their property was the perfect getaway for us for the long weekend. The sunrises and the lack of noise were both highlights. The paddocks and the farm animals were gorgeous, next time i'll have to bring a horse with me to adventure through the state forrest with. Thanks again Sharyn & Colin. ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️

We loved staying here for the Easter long weekend. Sharyn and Colin were informative, helpful and great with our kids. Site 5 was a lovely, big, grassy area with a nice view of the hills. There isn't much shade (so make sure you have some shelter) and it can get a bit windy at times (just make sure everything is secure). But none of the above bothered us. The kids lovely feeding a petting all the farm animals

Colin and Sharyn were very communicative leading up to our trip and the place was very great. We came with 2 groups and booked both in the same area. It ended up just being us in that area which was great!

Very private site with fenced area. There wasn't much heat from the shade, no trees or natural area around. Very windy at night time because no trees to protect you. Wilsons Prom was an hour away so would camp closer to that area probably. Hosts were super friendly and lovely and provided chemical toilet for us. This site would be perfect for families with animals etc.

We loved our stay, very welcoming hosts. Lots of space, beutiful location. My boys enjoyed feeding the chickens and goats, and a small camp fire. We would stay again

Perfect serene farm stay. The stars were immense and loved being able to use our fire pit. I came with my small dog who loved having the run of the fenced paddock. Would highly recommend, easy, and restful.

Large, flat and well kept at campsite 5. Excellent privacy. Not much shade so we made sure we were off doing things on the warmer days. Sharyn and Colin were friendly and welcoming, giving advice on wind directions to be aware of when setting up. Kids enjoyed feeding the animals. Plenty of hikes and beaches to explore in the areas as well. We enjoyed our stay!

We loved our time at Colin & Sharyn’s. They are fantastic hosts, they are very friendly & make you feel very welcome. They also try to ensure your position is suitable with regards to the weather. We were very happy with the information & advice they provided us, in regards to their local knowledge. Our stay was peaceful & very relaxing. The main sounds you hear are the sounds of nature. The property is in close proximity to both the coast & to National Parks for a variety of different activities.

Colin and Sharyn’s are amazing host. Always available and very friendly. Campsite 3 is great. Lots of space and beautiful views. Fresh eggs on arrival and the kids loved the farm experience too. I definitely recommend this Hipcamp.

Had a lovely time at Bush Retreat - Pop Up Tent. Great location and hosts, directions were clear and everything was set up on arrival. The Kitchenware pack made cooking easy, we didn’t need to bring any of our own equipment. Would definitely recommend for a country getaway!

This was a great little out of the way place to stay in the scenic area of South Gippsland. Easy to find and set up with two large caravans with plenty of room around us. Colin and Sharyn were great hosts and very accommodating. Nice quiet location and off the main road. Flat grassed area to set up on and others staying on the farm were well away from each other. So happy with this little piece of heaven that we re-booked for next year.

Very nice little cottage with a kitchen, warm beds, clean showers and all necessary facilities. We even got some lovely eggs and lemon from the garden for our meals. Nice place for families or couples.

Perfect spot for the long weekend …. Well away from the madness and so much room to spread out. Kids loved wandering around the farm and Colin and Sharyn were extremely friendly and helpful. We’ll definitely be back probably with others in tow.

We were upgraded to campsite 4 and had an excellent experience. Large space, isolated, beautiful views over the property / countryside, fire pit and wood provided promptly - it was a great being close to various walks, beaches and shops. A spot we’d highly recommend.

Will find it difficult to go back to camping at parks after our stay at Colin & Sharyn’s place. Private, peaceful and a perfect stay away with the kids and dog. A short drive to the jetty for a fish each day and a bike ride or walk afterwards. Was so great having our own paddock, camp toilet and fire pit. We had a great time and hope to come back again soon.

Camping with Alpacas!

Tent camping was super easy, the view was beautiful. Colin and Sharyn were amazing hosts, we could say hi to the Alpacas which was the highlight! I recommend adding the firewood and fire pit, it was an amazing clear night to sit by the fire and stare at the stars!! Would definitely go again. They have a tiny house that I really want to check out!

⛺️ Bush Retreat - Pop up tent
Colin and Sharyn are a lovely couple and made us feel very welcome. Their property is very well set up and they have obviously put a lot of thought and effort into making their guests feel comfortable. The location is very central to so many amazing activities and attractions. We stayed for 5 nights and loved every day. Thank you both for a great holiday!

We had a lovely time at Colin and Sharyn's farm. We opted for the glamping/pop up tent option which was fantastic - very clean, easy and comfy. Getting the hot shower option was well worth it as well! The farm also has a little playground which the kids loved and kept busy at. The highlight of my trip was being up close to alpacas - they are just adorable animals. Sharyn gave us a list of nearby places to visit - of which, we went to Agnes falls and Minnehaha falls - both lovely places to visit during the day. The pop up tent option is perfect for introductory camping or glamping, the area is picturesque and the hosts are very sweet! Definitely recommend.
