Romantic fall escape
This was an absolute dream! The drive in intself is so beautiful. We loved hiking up to the campsite (although its a pretty steep hike if you aren't a hiker) The campsite was like the prize at the end of the hike. So cozy and warm and listening to the elk and the wildlife all night long was amazing. I highly recommend going in early fall so you can enjoy the beautiful perfect weather and the changing leaves.

Perfect 👌
Beautiful property with gorgeous views! We couldnt have asked anything better from Grant, he picked us up halfway on the trail with some ice cold water for our site.

A delightful retreat!
We really enjoyed our visit to this campsite. The host graciously met us, with lots of helpful advice and resources. The views were unbeatable, and the privacy and open space were very refreshing. The horses are inquisitive at night, which we found to be fun and not disruptive. If you visit, remember that you're in the mountains where it rains frequently, and plan your gear accordingly. Worked well for us. 😊

Horse magic
The view from this secluded valley is a delight! The hosts and horses have gentle natures. Hearing the whinnies and being visited by curious equines in our tent was pure magic…

Family of 3 loved host, tent, views
I don't know what to rave about first - the beautiful views or Grant's welcoming nature. We stayed at three stunning hipcamp sites on our recent road trip, and this was the best spot in terms of both. This spot takes some time to get to, but the payoff is 360-degree views of gorgeous mountains and valleys, hosted by the friendliest host you can imagine. The glamping tent was a dream come true for our family of three. If you're not in hiking shape (or just want to relax), consider the horse or jeep ride up to camp - we needed it with our 3-year-old and gear.

Beautiful, Quiet Spot!
The host is really welcoming and hospitable. The land is beautiful. And for a primitive site, the amenities like the shower, picnic table, and portable toilet make it feel really comfortable. All around great experience!

Site 5 - Hobble Creek Backcountry Tent Sites
We had a great time up at Hobble Creek! We we're driving across country and wanted to camp in Utah while we were there and found Grant's place. Its beautiful acreage up in the canyon with 360 degree views from the base. Grant was super accommodating and provided a load of amenities including a propane tank and fire pit which was amazing. He was very communicative, provided super clear instructions on how to get to the property, and overall was an awesome host. The camping spot itself was secluded and private which was nice. My only suggestion is to come prepared to hike up to your spot. We weren't super prepared and were expecting to drive up to the spot and pitch our tent, but discovered that the camp site was approx 1.5-2 mi from the base of where you can park your car. We were hauling everything by hand so the hike felt pretty long and steep, however, if you come prepared with backpacking equipment, you should be fine! The hike is rocky and has a good amount of incline, so come prepared with hiking boots or good stability shoes. Other than that, we had a great experience at Hobble Creek and would definitely come back more prepared for the hike. The views of the canyon are stunning!

Awesome Mountain Escape
Beautiful, peaceful, great host. I loved seeing the horses—the scene is very tranquil and a great escape. Easy access to beautiful backcountry! Will definitely camp here again!
