Great getaway
Place was great, nice little lot tucked off the freeway. The tent was very spacious and I felt like I was in a hotel room. Place was clean and ready when we got there. Also the bathrooms were very clean as well and the walk wasn't too bad. There isn't any hot water so be ready for that. Just 10 minutes from the town and 20 min to lake Whitney. Would recommend to anyone

Went camping here for my birthday and had a great time! We got on google earth while there and ended up spending one of the days at Lake Whitney, which I hadn’t heard of before! Great facilities

The Oasis is a perfect getaway!
It’s small, quiet, and well taken care of. It had bathrooms in walking distance along with a shower, which is awesome for tent camping. Definitely recommend!

Overall a really neat place. Decks were in good shape. I stayed at the back of the property but was still able to hear cars driving on the highway. Overall good experience.

The host was very responsive. There was a lot of road noise. I liked all the trees on the forest side. Easy access off and on road.

Tent Site #1 - Magical Glade
Camping with dogs.
Great place to tent camp. We took our dogs here. We didn't see many people but there's also not a lot of people camping in January. Quiet and camp sites are far enough from others so it feels more private. We stayed at the Camp Site#1 Magical Glade. It is closer to a main road but the trees help block out quite a bit of sound. It didn't bother us at all. Cute little walking path from where you park. We will be back with friends!

Amazing spot!
Gorgeous campground! I'll definitely be back. The public shower/restroom was clean and cute, and the deck made for a great sleep even in a tent. The owner was very responsive and helpful regarding any questions. Super close to Lake Whitney. Plus you can quickly get to Hillsborough or Whitney to pick up food or supplies. It was close enough to a major road to be convenient, but also felt secluded and quiet.

We had a great time for New Years weekend. Even with temperatures in the 50s, we felt plenty warm in the tent. The decor is so nice and felt good to return after a day of walking around Lake Whitney to a tidy place! Bathroom is very clean and updated. Such a great weekend getaway from Dallas, took about an hour to get here.

The campground was just as the host described. We totally enjoyed having a smaller space for the kids to play and explore. It was lovely and quaint. Would recommend.

What a fun and unique experience! It really provides the best of both worlds. You get to rough it a bit with a campfire, stars, and nature sounds but also get to sleep in a comfy bed and a room sized tent.
It was also nice to have a bathroom with a toilet and sink. The shower attached to the bathroom has only room temp water. So unless you want a cold shower plan on “roughing it”.

Bike packing trip
Nice place for me to stop on my Bikepacking trip. Looks a new camp place. Needs a bit cleaning of under brush. Have plenty of rv pads with water and electricity. The glamping tent looked cool. They also have a couple of RVs to rent. Camping on the wooden deck was nice. Bring deck fish hooks to hold your tent down. Bathroom was clean and handy with shower. Negative was the donkey he hawing at night and the tejano music next door wa loud and late.

They’re still ironing out the kinks of being a new campground but I had a good experience. Karissa was really great to communicate with, and gave clear directions for what to do once you arrive at the Oasis. It’s next to some land with animals so it was fun seeing the cows and donkey, and the stars at night are unreal. They have little lights around the sites but it’s pretty dark (not crazy lit up like an RV park) so make sure to bring a flashlight! P.s the ‘glamping’ tent you can rent looks super cute!! You can hear the roadway at night but it wasn’t bad. A fan, AC or white noise would easily drown it out

Tent Site #2 - SHADY GROVE
Cute & Private Campsite
Cute little campground with a variety of options. Lots of shade and plenty of room between the handful of sites. We only saw two other campers the whole time we were there, which was nice. We chose Shady Grove which i think was the best primitive option.
Unfortunately, the shower wasn’t working when we were there but it was a short stay so we didn’t say anything. I’m sure the hosts would have rectified if we brought it up.
There is some car noise from the highway, but it really didn’t bother us.

Excellent Camp
I really enjoyed my time at this camp. I usually pack out my own tent, but this was my birthday escape and I wanted to upgrade….so I booked the Orion tent and it was great. Very quiet….very well decorated….had a fan inside the tent that was great ( however the weather was wonderful…in the upper 80s all weekend). Lots of trees around the tent to help keep it cool during the day. Wasn’t a bad walk from the tent to the shower…WiFi was actually pretty good…overall I would recommend this camp and host. I plan to go back.

Karissa’s land was so cute and quaint! The tent that we stayed in was very nicely decorated. She even had a fan in there that was very helpful.
