stars at night are big and bright
Hip camp Shelby Texas has an awesome location. 8 miles from round top we’re all the music, shopping, and Poetry happens. I stayed after some rains, and the fire ants were coming up everywhere. It made the trip to the Porta John hazardous in the middle of the night. Speaking of which it needs chemicals. The ground is nice and soft for tenting. And the stars are magnificent.

Highly Recommend!
Our stay at Sue's was great! We would highly recommend. The campsites were large and they offered plenty of privacy. It was nice having the water on site and the Johnny on the Spot, so you weren't completely primitive. Sue was the sweetest host and made our stay on the farm pleasant. We would definitely return if we ever travel back to the area!

Restful Rise
We had the place to ourselves and had an excellent stay. Watched the sun set next to the fire, joined by the two lovely cats on the property. Caught the Black Cat Choir at The Stone Cellar (a short 12 min drive away), and had an excellent weekend overall.
Sue was very responsive and made sure we made it in fine. Will definitely return - thank you, Sue!

Round Top The Claire at Lucky Farm
The Perfect Camper for Us!
My friend and I camped here during antiques week. I am so glad we did! It was just perfect! Sue was beyond helpful with directions and took such amazing care of us during our stay. We will miss her! The camper was super clean and tidy, and fit us perfectly. It even had a fridge and freezer. I wish we could have stayed longer. We can't wait to return!

Restful Rise
Sue was a wealth of knowledge about the area. She communicated very well prior to and during our trip. The grounds and amenities were perfection, peaceful, and efficient. We will go back and would recommend highly!

Round Top Birdhouse at Lucky Farm
Fun in a little Boho camper
Sue was a great host - very helpful with suggestions about what to do and where to go in Round Top, and very accommodating. She always answered me very quickly. We had a wonderful breakfast one morning - she obviously takes great pride in her cooking. We stayed in a small camper - the Birdhouse - and had everything we needed. There is an outdoor shower besides the wet bath in the camper but maybe bring a bathing suit for the outdoor shower as it’s not extremely private. Make sure the 2 friendly kitties don’t try to go home with you!

Amazing place in the country! Tent, car, or RV camping. Communication and description were great. Host was very accommodating. Even took a shower in the country, with hot water!

Round Top The Claire at Lucky Farm
The Claire was super cute and perfect for my weekend. The area was just what I needed. It was peaceful, cozy and close to Round Top. Sue was a fantastic and friendly host. I look forward to my future stay.

Site 4 - Lucky Farm, Lucky You!
Tucked away in Texas Camping
Sue was such a great host. Her property was warm and welcoming, as was she. When bad weather threatened our tent camping plans, Sue went above and beyond to accommodate us in such a way that we stayed dry and safe. Her friendly cats were icing on the cake. All around great experience. Highly recommend!

Sue is awesome
Sue was an amazing host. She let us play with the animals and is available when you need her. If you haven’t tried her breakfast then you’re missing out as it is fresh and exceptional (also amazing value). The space is nice and open with dark sky! You’re 12 minutes from downtown Round Top.
Tables out there and fire pit make it one less thing to carry out there. Let’s also not forget the sweetest cats that will come say hi!

Tent camping at Sue’s place was great. It’s dark, quiet, and just what we were looking for. Sue was very hospitable and made our stay very enjoyable.
