Once again this place was wonderful. My RV was there for about a week but I only stayed in it for a couple nights as I was visiting friends and working in Houston. Crystal went above and beyond by giving me a free night (without my request). I was shocked. That’s never happened to me before. Amazing people amazing retreat. I will be staying there whenever I travel through the Houston area. Thanks again all!

Beautiful peaceful property. Close to stores and restaurants yet you feel like you are in the middle of the forest. Raven and Glen are amazing hosts as well. Thanks for providing this place for us to enjoy!

Hosts are amazing.
Everything. Gene and Raven were the most gracious hosts. Everything was tidy and groomed. Having the high pressure water and full electrical hookup was a life saver for me and my dirty dogs and my shower. Gene even backed in my trailer because I was not confident. I cannot say enough. The best hosts I’ve encountered on hipcamp.

Buck Acres is growing as a campground, and it’s a nice place. It has a rural feel but is quite close to Hwy 105 and easy to access town amenities. The hosts were helpful, and our water and electric worked great. There’s no dump site there and it took us a bit to track one down, so that’s the only downside.

Away from traffic noise and had deer come by for a visit.
Easy in and out. Recommend for those looking for a quiet spot.

Overall I was fine with the site, and I understand that this is a new campground and a work in progress, but I couldn’t give a higher rating with there being no shower. Picnic tables at each site would be nice also. The owner was super nice, helpful and responsive.

Great weekend getaway
Raven greeted us with a smile and helped us get situated. We have a quiet, relaxing weekend. We saw some deer a couple of times. Location was close to a store if we forget something. Was worried about the “port-a-John” but it was clean and spacious. LOL. We will definitely stay here again

We weren't sure what to expect upon arrival. But after meeting our host, we felt more at ease. Our stay was pleasant and the host were super accommodating. The property was well maintained and still a work in progress. Even though we were only an hour away from our home, it felt like we were hundreds of miles away from the city. We will definitely recommend to others and would love to visit again in the future. Thank you Gene and Raven!

You ask"what went well?" well, everything! I have not slept so peacefully in such a long time. I wake up to about 10-15 deer right outside my foot every morning and a few come thru in the evening. The hosts are extremely accommodating, the kind of customer service that makes people want to come back. It's truly a diamond in the rough. I love how it's right outside city limits yet it feels like it's miles "out in the country"

Amazing little gem. It's so peaceful and my dogs were totally captivated by the 15+ deer that came into the clearing to eat. They sat there stunned. Lol. The hosts are wonderful and so accommodating. I will be here again and I'm telling everyone I know that camps or travels.

Very nice people, introduced themselves to us when we arrived, offered to help us set up, made sure we had contact information and then left us alone so that we could enjoy our stay.
No sewer drops or dumpster but other than that, myself and two teenagers had a great break

Not secluded but made the best of
Overall we had a good time. There were kids near for our son to play with. However, we expected a little more room/privacy. Each site is right next to the next. We could hear our neighbors conversation at the table. It is very close to the road and you can hear traffic all through the night.
The camp area is right next to the owners house and not a secluded camping place by any means.
There is 1 public portapotty. It was pretty full and could use some maintenance. There is a plug and water source at the RV site we stayed at.
The owners were very nice. But not the camping experienced we had hoped for when booking.

What the buck?!
I feel like the pictures online are misleading. The campsites are literally next to the owners house and super close to each other. There were pipes and other random plumbing parts all over the place. The portable toilet was disgusting.

Big dog friendly.
Buck acres was a really nice RV/campground for us first timers. Really nice owners who guided us on what to do. They were so patient and kind. I really loved it. Nice area for kiddos to play and walk around. With beautiful trees all around helping you hide from the Texas sun. Beautiful location surrounded by nature, perfect get away from the city.
