Perfect getaway for couples!

Peaceful camping
The farm was great. Very well managed by Karen and Graham. They were very helpful and pleasant hosts. Graciously asked for the rules to be followed which were basic common sense items but other than that they had the place setup nicely. The exotics and livestock were fun to check out along with the labyrinth. Very serene and worth the trip. I will be bringing the family back next time. Thank you Karen and Graham!

I loved tent camping at Ardor Wood Farms! The campsite was clean, well maintained and a little ways off the main path. I enjoyed following the many trails and seeing the wildlife.

Being away from the world was probably the only reason we had fun but unfortunately other than that it wasn’t the best stay…we had spiders all in our bed and I’m talking about palm size spiders to where we didn’t feel comfortable and had to sleep in the car. They had one bathroom but when going in side we noticed a wasp nest and a bunch of spiders in there so we had to go to the store to use the bathroom and also had to find a HUGE wasp nest outside to the back of our tent and my bf is HIGHLY ALLERGIC…to sum it up there was just not maintenance to make the stay a little bit safer and CONVENIENT!!!

Exactly what you need
From the adorable baby goats to the kind and welcoming nature of Graham and Karen, we can’t recommend this wonderful farm enough. Our family enjoyed connecting with the animals and the relaxing atmosphere in and around the camp sites. Climbing on hay bails, feeding our new furry friends and walking miles around the property at sunset - everyone needs a weekend like this. We’ll be back again for sure!

Great place to camp! My wife and I stayed in the Butterfly Cottage some time ago and had an amazing time. We brought the kids this weekend and tent camped. We loved it! The kids got up early every morning to help Graham feed the animals. We enjoyed hiking around the property and seeing all the exotic animals.
I highly recommend!

Highly Recommended/ Wonderful Hosp
Karen and Graham are always the best hosts. The property is beautiful and rich with exotics and other wildlife. The free range gated area for the livestock-type residence of the property is great to take kids and have them experience the friendly goats, turkeys (Captain America and Chief, as we’ve come to call them. Go out and and take a look and you’ll know why).
The Glamping tent is wonderful and clean, and the fire pit is extremely convenient especially since Graham has placed a fire would bundle shelter on the main path to the campsite! The firewood bundle shelter made it possible for me to easily gather firewood to keep the fire burning snd stay warm when outside the tent (it seems to hold heat relatively well, and I know it holds out the rain from the last trip out to visit Karen and Graham. I highly recommend!

Finally a chance to relax! I have stayed at a few places on HipCamp and this was by far the best. Gorgeous landscape, welcoming hosts, cute outdoor shower, clean tent & bed, quiet at night, plenty of privacy. I cant wait to go back.

We got to personally meet Graham and he was kind enough to give us a little tour of the land. They do an awesome job taking care of their farm animals, and taking care of the glamping tent. Wonderfully safe and a great getaway!

Relaxing Farm Stay
Highly enjoyable stay. We loved sleeping in the tent. The bed was comfortable and sitting on the porch was very relaxing. Other highlights: walking around the property, observing the goats and chickens, hearing about the history of the property, walking the labyrinth, and grabbing a steak and a beer in Red Rock. We'll be back!

We had such a lovely experience on Karen and Graham's property. They have put so much time and love into this place; we are so grateful they have chosen to share it with us all. Please be mindful of this when you are there and respect the space. Pack out more than you pack in and have a great time. We will certainly be back.
Maybe the best part about it is that we were only a fourty minute drive home. Two nights camping and the last thing us city slickers wanted was a long drive home.

Lovely little campground and amazing hosts! A short drive from Austin and great amenities including a compostable toilet, well marked trail signs, sweet animals, and firewood for a small fee. Grab some farm honey on your way out!
