Jaimie and her husband were so welcoming and do a great job maintaining their property. There are 3 main campsites, which are relatively close to each other so if there's other parties using the sites, it might not be as private as some would like but we didn't mind. Jaimie and her husband invited us to a fire they built at night and also gave us a tour of the house they built by themselves. I'd stay here again!

Beautiful property, amazing owners. Ask them about their honey! I bought 10 jars from their honey bees!!! Such a great time.

Thoughtful touches - great spot!!
We can't wait to stay here again! Jaimie and Mike have built such a thoughtful oasis for campers - great for our families with young kids. The pond is lined with rubber (so no mud) and filtered - great for swimming. Mike made a fire in their fire pit so that we could enjoy s'mores safely. The campsites by the creek are a little slice of heaven. It is a walk from your car to the campsites - maybe half a mile. Pack light if you can. The hosts have a cart to help with gear, and made themselves available to make trips in their golf-cart to help as well. They are warm and inviting people who have showered this place with love and attention - it shows in so many thoughtful touches. Make sure to buy some of their homemade honey before you go - it's delicious! Would absolutely recommend and will camp here again.

I usually try to leave a campsite better than I found it, but this was awesome when I arrived. Quite secluded and peaceful.

Excellent camp site. Definitely lives up to its name. Host was great, and their dog was amazing. He was like our personal host. He showed us the way to the camp site, stayed with us until we went to bed, and greeted us again in the morning. We will definitely come again!

Creekside, Quiet Retreat!
This place is truly a fun and quiet place!
The hosts are responsive and super hospitable and the property has chickens, bee hives and a friendly Great Pyranees waiting to meet you! (no worries though because they all live on the other end of the property so they wont be hanging around your site!)
There are multiple tent site spots, all along the creek at the back of the property. There is a mowed trail through the mesquite trees that may give you a deer siting or two!
The big trees provide a lovely shade canopy over your campsite and the creek below is great for exploring!
Come enjoy a camping experience along a creek!

We had a really good time. Jaimie and her husband are amazing hosts and really endearing people. Their puppy Sampson escorted us to the campsite which is about a half mile walk down from the house. The campsite is beautiful and completely secluded amongst the trees by the creek. We will be back!

Hospitable, Meets Expectations
Jaimie and her family are very welcoming and hospitable. Jaimie made sure to greet us when we arrived and showed us to our site. You park near Jamie's home and use the cart provided to bring your gear to the site. Its about a .5 mile walk. Our kids (4 and 6 yrs old) managed the walk just fine even while carrying their backpacks. We took bikes with us so that made the walk a little faster once we got settled into the site. As of May 2020 they do not have fire/cooking pits at the site but there is a fire pit up at the house that you can use. We used a propane stove at the site to cook most meals. The creek is not very accessible from the site because of the steep bank but it was nice to be near it. There are 3 campsites to choose from but they are all near each other so this would be a great place to camp with friends/family. The descriptions of 9 Wild Acres matched our experience very well. We had no un-met expectations. We would definitely camp here again.

Great primitive camping site!
10/10 would recommend! The sites were perfect for a primitive camping experience and the host built us a great evening campfire up near the house.
You will have to hike your gear in about a half mile, but there is a cart to use. We were hoping to test run our backpacking skills and this was a great place to do it at.

Friendly folx, great campsite!
We had a great stay at Jaimie's place! We were greeted by the friendliest doggo, shown our campsite, and able to fill up water. Our campsite was lovely: close to the creek, composting toilet, cow fields, and tree swings. Would recommend this spot, especially if you are heading to or from Austin! We also liked the walk to and from the campsite.

Staying on Jaimie's property was a peaceful reprieve from city life! From the moment i was shown my campsite, i did not see another human until I went home 2 days later. But plenty of cardinals, deer, and cows (neighbors on both sides have cows) graced my presence.
The site itself was very clean, covered by plenty of trees, but with open spaces to also lie out in the sunshine or stargaze overnight. I would recommend and likely will stay here again!
Though I came for solitude and so did not spend time with the hosts, they were very friendly and thoughtful. Even fixed up a wheelbarrow so i could haul my things (i opted for comfort this trip!) more easily down the path to and from camp, roughly a 5-10 minute walk depending on your pace.

Beautiful and peaceful
The drive to this location was very nice and peaceful. The host was very pleasant. There are dogs and chickens roaming the yard so that was cool to be around. I even had my own (doggie) tour guide to show me to the creek. Overall, I enjoyed my stay.
