This place is great! Hosts are very friendly and there is a ton of space. Good for multiple families that want to get outdoors and only an hour from Houston.

Site 8 - 5D Ranch
We loved tent camping at 5D; it was peaceful, quiet and a beautiful property. The spindles at the site allowed for a lot of seating/table options and site 8 was very roomy. Julie is a lovely host and ensured check in was easy. This is our new spot for local camping! We will be back :)

Site 15 - 5D Ranch
I really loved camping with family at our campsite 5w 4 We really enjoyed setting up our tents right between the trees and not far from the hiking trails. My kids loved meeting the ranch dog, he was so sweet. Host was super respectful and helpful, will definitely come back. the restrooms and trash bins are a major plus !

Great for campaign (and with dogs!)
5D ranch was amazing! If you’re looking for somewhere off the grid to relax in nature this is the place to go. We had a wonderful secluded campsite and got to take our dogs on lovely walks (joined by the ranch dog, Quigly, who was such a friendly tour guide). I would highly recommend to anyone looking for an escape to the countryside and will definitely be booking again!

Great weekend getaway
Awesome place for a weekend getaway with friends, family or by yourself. Julie is very nice and welcoming and she explained the rules very well with us. Clean restrooms, good fishing/ canoeing pond, would definitely make this a regular weekend spot and definitely recommend!

Beautiful, Peaceful Ranch
This is an amazing place to camp - I can’t wait to go back! Hosts were very accommodating and friendly - you can tell they really care about their facilities and want to share the beauty of their property with others.
We wanted our campsite to feel secluded and we got just that. Big plus that they had a bathroom really close by. We knew others were camping in the area but we could not see or hear them. It’s a huge ranch so sites were veryyy spaced out. It was such a peaceful and relaxing time. Also, the stars looked so bright at night.
Again, the property is just plain gorgeous and everything is well taken care of. We liked that there were other things to do on the property, like walking the many trails they have. Our favorite place to visit was the lake. There is also a little pig that lives on the property and is very friendly named Quigley which we just loved.
Overall, primitive camping in Texas doesn’t get much better than this!

A great camp site for any camper who wants to get away from the city for a while. The walking paths, fishing holes and visits from Quigley (the happiest dog you’ve ever met) made this an incredible weekend. My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed staying at 5D ranch. It was so quiet and peaceful, the campsite was clean and spacious. We loved getting up this morning and getting to fish in both the pond and the lake. We cannot wait to come back, we are already talking about our next trip here. Thank you Julie for an awesome stay!

Private campground…very nice!
One of the best Hip camp locations I have stayed at! The land was spacious and sites were private. The available restroom/shower was well stocked and super clean. The four of us and our two dogs spread out into site 2 with two tents and a small camper with room to spare. The rest of my crew went down to the Texas RenFest for the day while I lazed about on the land soaking in the sun and taking quiet nature walks. Beautiful. I will be returning.

Site 18 - 5D Ranch
Great weekend getaway!
5D Ranch is an excellent place to get away for a peaceful camping experience. This is our second time there and we loved it just as much as the first time. Both times we camped in one of the larger sites, which had tons of room for all of our stuff, but was also very private. Unless you want to venture out on the hiking/biking/riding trails, you don't have to see another person during your entire stay and we like that. Julie, our host, was very accommodating when we had to check in later than planned and made it very easy for us. We live about an hour away from the ranch so this is now our go-to place when we want a weekend in the woods to get away from the world.

Great camping property. We did a one night stay for a “trial run” for the kiddos. Hosts were extremely friendly and provided exceptional details regarding the availability amenities of the property. We will return again shortly for a longer stay. We had a blast.

Loved loved lovedddd this place. All the sites looked wonderful and they were very accommodating. It was very windy and cold and rainy this day that we rented and they were able to suggest a much calmer site where we could shade more from the wind chills and it was a camp to remember. Would definitely book again

Camping at 5D!
Beautiful serene ranch! Julie and Eddy were wonderful hosts, very friendly and attentive! The campsite was very nice, open sections as well as a secluded spot for a wind break.
It was a bit chilly during our stay, but what can you do about Fall weather and Texas? Enjoy it to the fullest. Plenty of trails to keep us occupied. Quigley the ranch dog is a sweetie and escorted us during a mini hike as well as packing up!😁🤩

Site 7 - 5D Ranch
We pitched at tent at Julie's 5D Ranch this weekend and it was wonderful. Julie was extremely responsive and met us upon arrival to guide us to our camp site 7. We were able to drive up to the site, which was private, spacious, and equipped with wooden spools to sit on and a fire pit. There were several nice trails marked and a little lake with aluminum boats available. We hope to getaway to the 5D Ranch again soon!
