Site 1 - Wooded Get Away Tent Camping
Gorgeous sites and wonderful hosts! The campsite is beautiful, big and very private. I arrived late at night and Tami was kind enough to wait for me and show me the way. Communication was great and precise before and during the stay. The restroom and showers are in the house, very clean and convenient.

Shangri-La in Northern Tennesse
Quiet, peaceful, tranquil. Tami is a gracious hostess. Can't believe we can see so many states from her mountain top home. Worth the trip!

Tami and Richard were great hosts! They were welcoming and generous throughout our stay including when they provided us towels to help dry out our wet gear. The site we stayed in had the draw of back country camping and the luxury of access to a hot shower and a cup of coffee. We would highly recommend this place as Tami and Richard make this place a unique experience!

A very neat experience! Love how innovative Tami and her husband are being with their beautiful land and property.
A peaceful night of camping 🏕 . Then, the luxury of a hot shower and cup of Keurig coffee (in beautiful commons area) before continuing with our travels into TN.

Quick Peaceful Stay Outdoors
Tami was very kind and welcoming. I loved camping on their land because it was secluded and spacious enough for me and my dogs to not have to worry about children, noise, or other dogs. We enjoyed getting away in the woods fir a few days. They were wonderful hosts and willing to accommodate whatever I needed.

Our weekend getaway
Tami and Richard were wonderful host. It was a joy talking to Richard. We spend the weekend celebrating our anniversary and just disconnecting from out hectic lives. Thier place is beautiful. Great scenery. Got to see baby deer and turkey while sitting at our campsite. Plan to visit again soon.

More than amazing!
Our host for this particular Hipcamp were extraordinary and more than accommodating.
I did sevet several days at this location because it was extremely peaceful........
My son and I were able to enjoy the nature plus be in close proximity with all animals they owened on their property.
Either it be in our van or our tent we knew it'd be a great nights rest.
Then looked forward to heading to the main house a for clean bathroom and hot shower...

Magical Forest
Our experience was beyond what we expected. Very well set up camp site. We liked having a picnic table to gather around and prepare food. Having a nice fire pit set up and a grill at the camp site was great. Being surrounded by the forest was magical.

Enchanting experience
Our family is so thankful to our hosts. They welcomed us on their land from start to finish. The camping site had a great set up with a picnic table, fire pit, available wood. Having access to a bathroom, shower and well water felt like luxuries since after all we were tent camping. Having our own forest space allowed us to relax and have an amazing camping experience as a family. The forest was also well maintained and allowed us to view the passing wildlife such as the deer. The land is located in an area with great views of the ridges of Northeast Tennessee and Southwest Virginia. All of the above was great but having the opportunity to interact with the hosts was truly a priceless experience.

Very private and serene! We happened to be the only ones booked for the weekend but the sites are well spaced. Everything was clearly marked and easy to find. AWD or 4×4 recommended. All in all, a wonderful experience for our first hipcamp trip!

I’m traveling nurse I stay here regularly while working in a nearby city is it a welcome retreat from the awful clamor of the hospital. Tammy and Richard are both kind and full of wisdom you will not regret staying here. Fall asleep to the sound of the gentle breeze Rustling trees and wake up to a symphony of birds....What more could one ask for?

5 (Morning) Star Review
This place was everything we could have asked for and more, not to mention a great bang for your buck! We camped out at a very peaceful and secluded site in the woods. We were also free to use the bathroom and shower inside the house. Tami was very warm and welcoming and took the time to show us how she can see 4 states from her property. I will certainly return here again if ever passing through again.

What an awesome place to stay! Beautiful views and farm critters to watch. Tami and her husband were so kind and hospitable, even allowing us to shower in their gorgeous house. I loved the knowledge they offered and loved talking with them. We would definitely recommend to others.

Awesome
Very peaceful, tons of fun nature things nearby, the hosts were so welcoming. Bathroom was really clean, they even supplied towels and other bathroom essentials. You can see the lights from the city on one side of the property and on the other side you can see the stars and constellations perfectly! We did stay during a new moon though.. Would deff recommend to anyone looking to stay in that area!!

Great Spot/Hosts in TN mountains!
This was my first Hipcamp experience and it exceeded my expectations! Tami & Richard are simply the best. When I arrived at my campsite, they had firewood and six fresh eggs from their chickens waiting on the picnic table for me, and also came by to welcome me personally. The first night, there were people in the next campsite - it was my first time camping alone, so I kinda liked that :-) The second day, I had the whole place to myself and made the most of my time on their beautiful property. I especially enjoyed loving on their dogs and hanging out with the farm animals!! Richard set up the telescope in the backyard and treated us all to an astronomy lesson, which was a big unexpected treat that I really enjoyed. Both he and Tami are very interesting people with tons of cool stories and are just the most laid-back, sweet people ever. They told me about fun/outdoorsy things to do in the area and also provided several informational brochures. I was thankful for the hot shower; they provided towels and washcloths and the guest bathroom was immaculate. Brought my dog and she had a BALL running around in the woods and investigating all the new smells. I will definitely be back here to explore some of their recommendations and recommend this Hipcamp with highest accolades!

Pretty, Safe and Fun
Don’t hesitate to book this campsite.
Wow, this was exactly what I needed. The universal sound of nature is blended with the wholesome sounds of a real farm created a quiet melody of peace a harmony throughout my stay.
The campsite was the perfect size and the beautiful wooded walking trails are wide and easy. I am reminded of Walden.
The folks there are great and the land is spectacular.

Wooded seclusion but with amenities
We stayed at Morning Star's Mountain View in passing to the Blue Ridge Parkway. Tami and Richard were pleasant and talkative which made us feel very welcomed. Their property is quite impressive. Tami helped us to our site, and even supplied good firewood. They welcomed us to use the facilities on the main floor of their home which we did in the am. We stayed in site one, and had the property to ourselves. We enjoyed viewing the stars just off the drive and from the entrance to our site before a restful night sleep. Would be a fun site if bringing a group to enjoy all 3 sites or to explore the property more! The hosts are very knowledgeable to the area!
