SELF-CONTAINED RV PADDOCK PARKING SITE ONLY - NO TENTS. Welcome to Waratah Alpaca and Pepperberry Farm in the charming town of Waratah, where nature and history come together on our stunning 20-acre property. Our farm is home to friendly alpacas, playful donkeys, curious goats, and a delightful assortment of chickens and geese. Immerse yourself in the tranquil surroundings as you wander across our scenic property, featuring a serene river and a quaint bridge that leads to 10 acres of fenced pepperberry trees—an ideal spot for camping or leisurely walks. You’ll also have the chance to encounter native wildlife, including pademelons, wallabies, echidnas, and wombats, making this a true nature lover’s paradise. Waratah itself offers breathtaking natural beauty, with picturesque lakes perfect for fishing and a stunning waterfall right in the center of town. Take a refreshing walk to its base or embark on the scenic trek to Philosopher’s Falls, where the magic of the Tasmanian wilderness awaits. Steeped in Australian history, Waratah was home to the first tin mine and the birthplace of electricity in the region. Explore the town’s rich heritage through its historical landmarks and fascinating stories from the past. Please note that there are no restaurants or food options available in Waratah, so be sure to bring your own supplies to ensure you're well-prepared. There is a Farm Shop onsite for a few basics. All self-contained RV's are welcome, and you’re free to pull up anywhere on the property that suits your vehicle, but all campers must be fully self-contained. NOTE: Paddock parking - the paddock varies from even to uneven and ground can be soft in wet weather. Whether you seek adventure, relaxation, or a journey through history, Waratah Alpaca and Pepperberry Farm offers a unique and unforgettable experience. Alpaca and goat feeding is normally in the afternoons 4-6 and platypus viewing in lakes in town is at sunset. No Tent Camping.

We loved it here! The owners are soooooo nice! The kids loved feeding the animals, we were given some eggs, and the girls even got to add to the fairy garden before we left. Wish we could have stayed longer. Check out the farm shop, too..the pepper berry is delish!!!

Trudi, the host is lovely. So welcoming & relaxed. She even gave us an opportunity to feed the alpacas & learn all about pepperberries which she grows and harvests there. Saw a gorgeous one day old goat And dog friendly off leash! The paddock is fenced. Great camping/farmstay

I loved the open spaces and looking out at the Alpaccas and goats. So peaceful. Not far to walk to town. A great spot to camp.

We loved camping at the farm! It wasn’t too difficult to find a level spot for our van, & it’s grassy & sunny. Did a day trip to Cradle Mountain & on our return Trudy gave us food to feed the Llamas & chickens, & a bag of pepper berries for us to take with us. A great experience!

We loved our stay at Alpaca and pepperberry farm . There is a big paddock with plenty of space to choose from . There is feeding time with the alpacas, there were 2 , 1month old babies on our visit . We were given a sample of the native pepperberries . Trudi also sells her honey . It is lovely and quiet. Trudi is a lovely host . It is close to town for a walk to the lake with platypus .

Rough ground. Caravans would find it bumpy. Not really much in surrounds compared to so much of this pretty state Sorry to be negative

What a unique and wonderful farmstay experience. The property was easy to find and access with our 19’6 caravan. We were warmly welcomed by the wonderful host Trudi and given a tour of this fabulous property where we could choose wherever we wished to park. You can choose to camp with the friendly goats and alpacas or camp in the top area and just visit the animals. We were lucky enough to feed the baby alpacas, meet all the dogs, cats and chickens and even get some fresh eggs and our new favourite pepperberries! A short drive to Philosophers falls and to the lake in the middle of town with the platypus. Trudi went above and beyond to make our stay special. Would highly recommend and we will definitely be back!!

We had a wonderful two-night stay at this beautiful property in our campervan. Trudi was a fantastic host— she so welcoming, and generous with her time. She took us on a lovely walk around the property, teaching us about Pepper berries and their farming process, and we even got to meet and feed some of the adorable alpacas and their babies. We chose to stay in the paddock with the goats, and it was a laugh-a-minute! They were full of personality and very curious. There was also the option to stay in a separate paddock and observe the animals if we had of preferred. The creek in the paddock was beautiful, and the entire property had such a peaceful, relaxing atmosphere. It was the perfect spot for a few days of downtime in nature. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a unique stay!

Was easy access and nice to watch the Alpaches and goat's playing Nice place to park up and explore surrounding areas Trudi met us at the gate and even offered fresh eggs for breakfast
