The site was great, host was lovely and easy to deal with. Eggs and apples supplied for the guests was a nice touch. The only downside was cost, I didn’t realise when I first started the booking that the cost is per person and not per couple, which made it by far the most expensive non caravan park site that we’ve stayed at. $26 per couple is what I consider the norm for a paddock I would expect way more for $52.

This was our favourite campsite close to Barrington Lakes. The view was phenomenal. If we didn't have to recharge and dump our tanks every few days, we would have set up permanently, but I have no issue recharging when you get the stunning view without the crowds.

i absolutely loved the campsite. The field had a beautiful vista of farmland with a spectacular mountain backdrop. As the mist cleared in the morning the mountain appeared. The bathroom was a walk through an array of ordered shrubs and trees. It was clean, and generously offered apples and eggs for free. Marlene and her dog were very welcoming. Highly recommend!!

Loved it, all the great reviews are right! Brilliant view, quiet, amazing proper bathroom with shower and loo, plus a little room to sit and read. Hosts are lovely to chat to and the whole place full of charm and good vibes.

Maleen and Ronald's hospitality was outstanding. They were happy to tell you all about their herb farm and what they were doing.
Facilities were fantastic and very clean.
Great place to stay, a few minutes out of lovely Sheffield.

A quiet spot with a great view, I somehow lucked out and got the place to myself! The directions were easy to follow, yes the bathroom is a walk away from the site but it is lovely and clean.
Also managed to see a stunning sunset and later the Aurora while I was there. Myself and my furry friend will definitely be back!

Had a wonderful time camping at Marleen’s place. The stars were amazing and she was so kind, even leaving eggs out for us one morning from her chickens! Such a beautiful corner of the world, thank you for sharing Marleen!

A beautiful organic medicinal herb farm. A must-see for anyone interested in natural medicine and/or organic farming. We were so grateful to have a clean bathroom and laundry on site, plus a cosy room to stay warm and dry when it rained. Highly recommend this Hipcamp.

Marlene and Ronald‘s location was very clean, a great place to camp and very convenient for Sheffield another local sites. It was a pleasure to meet them both, they couldn’t have made us feel more welcome. The facilities, as in the shower and toilet were immaculate complete with washing machine and even a waiting room if someone was having a wash. I loved the spectacular view of Mount Roland, in a peaceful field. Marleen, Ronald and Emma were very nice hosts.

Marleen & Ronald are two of the most interesting and accommodating people we've come across. Our camp site was perfect and the property fascinating. Picking blueberries sans limit was a great privilege. Loved it.

I enjoyed camping at Marlene’s property. It was very quiet and peaceful. It was very windy when I arrived so Marlene gave the option of a more protected site. A fabulous property with so many fruit and nut trees. Marlene was very accomodating and friendly. Just be aware a bit of a walk to the bathroom. Lovely clean bathroom facility. Can recommend.

Lovely quiet campsite with stunning mountain view’s. Our camp was not overlooking flowering herbs as I was hoping but made up for that with the mountain views and a peaceful night. Bathroom was a decent walk away but was very well appointed and clean.

Wonderful camping with amazing views on Roland mountain. Flat green surface with a bit of forest. Toilet and shower facilities are great but a bit far from campsite. Didn’t have a chance to use the shower because our neighbors washed their dog there.

Friendly greeting, warm hospitality, camping area was private, spacious, and a beautiful view to Mt Roland. Marlene offered an alternative camping spot for when the winds come through. It was lovely to walk to/from the bathroom (very clean with a ‘waiting room’!). Really enjoyed meeting Marlene and family and learning about the farm, walking around the herbal medicine plants and blueberries. Lovely and all organic.

Beautiful spot overlooking the mountain. Very hospitable hosts and a fabulous bathroom with hot shower and toilet. Immaculately clean and fresh. Just like being at home, better even. Just a tip to take some cash when you visit the. bathroom as there were some products for sale. We didn’t have any unfortunately but would have purchased had we had some. Thank you Marleen and Ronald.

We enjoyed our stay - it was peaceful and not too far for us to get to the port for our sail back to the mainland.
It was also great to walk up to the bathroom after dinner to enjoy a hot shower!

Marleen’s was a welcome rest stop after a long day on the road. There are beautiful views of Mount Roland and rows of herbs. The shower is great and washing machine an added bonus! Highly highly recommend this spot. Marleen is super friendly too.

Possibly the best camp site in Tasmania for us. A picturesque working farm. With only 5 sites on offer you are guaranteed peace, quiet and isolation. The air is filled with the scent of lavender which is grown here and the night sky is amazing as is the view of Mount Roland. The old piano in the sitting room was a treat to play and the eggs from the chooks were an unexpected bonus. And did I mention how quiet it was. If you want to be away from the crowded tourist parks, this place is for you.

Wonderful peaceful campsite with great views and a lovely bathroom. The owners are wonderful and informative. Enjoyed meeting their son and hearing about his coffee and chocolate businesses (both of which are wonderful).
