Stunning view! Petrina was welcoming and kind. Great with comms. The land is so beautiful and the view of the lake was so nourishing to watch from afar. Highly recommend!

Very spacious, relaxing, peaceful with gorgeous views. Lovely grassy sites, farm animals Close to Meander Valley winery which is great for a visit, the tasmanian truffle farm and the 41 degree Salmon farm.

Amazing views

We ended up staying at Three Tree and had the spot to ourselves. The views are amazing from the site and we managed to get level without ramps. Check in was very smooth a welcoming. We would happily recommend.

Don’t hesitate in staying here, views are beautiful, easy to find and map instructions to your site great. Was incredibly quiet and peaceful, clear sky and the moon coming up and stars were amazing to see. Attach pics if I can.

Loved every minute! Petrina had detailed instructions and a mud map which made finding the campsite super easy. Plenty of space allocated to each campsite so you feel like a whole paddock is yours and no one is on top of you. The kids loved seeing the cows and horses! Would stay again.

Doesn’t get much better than this

Wow! We were originally booked for 1 night, but ended up staying 3 and wish we could have stayed longer. It was worth the early wake up every morning for sunrise overlooking the lake and watching the sun peek over the mountains. The view is up there with the best I’ve ever experienced from a campsite. Petrina was very welcoming and helpful and the sites were the most spacious I have ever stayed on, which is great when you are travelling with a busy, loud 5 year old. We had pretty much perfect weather for our stay and winds were never an issue. We did however opt to not put our awning up incase. Only sounds we heard were the black cockatoos flying overhead and the resident cows (the highland cow was very happy to pose for a photo). Was so nice to be able to enjoy a campfire whilst watching the abundance of stars overhead. We travelled to Sheffield, Mole Creek, Mt Roland and Deloraine (which is also the closest dump point) during our stay. Honestly, this place is so amazing and would love to return in the future.

Site 2 - Hilltop Farm Huntsman View 4WD

Petrina and Nelson are very friendly and helpful. Their property offers amazing views of Huntsman lake and the Western Tiers. Our time there was warm but with scattered clouds which made the scene change by the minute as clouds cast shadows between beams of sunlight. Will definitely go back. You feel like you are a million miles from anywhere. But you are only a short drive from a lovely town that has all you require. Phone service is available on the property but not necessarily at every camp site.

What an amazing campsite...one of the best Hipcamps I've stayed at! The views are breathtaking, the camping area is immaculately kept, and Petrina is an attentive and helpful host! The property has so much going for it...A perfect base to explore the Meander Valley and Central highlands. The dark skies at night were amazing, I was lucky enough to catch an aurora through the clouds. I highly recommend this camp, will definitely return when next in Tassie. Thankyou Petrina & Nelson!

Site 1 - Hilltop Farm Platypus Pond Campsite

Stunning views. The hosts met us at the gate and showed us to our site. We had a very relaxing, quiet couple of days. Definitely recommend this farm stay.

Site 2 - Hilltop Farm Hideaway (4WD)

Petrina and Nelson were excellent hosts and great communicators from the time of booking to showing us to our site. We stayed on the Lakeview site and the views were spectacular. It was a fantastic spot to base ourselves for sightseeing trips to Deloraine, Liffey Falls, Westbury, Four Springs Lake, Mole Creek Caves just to name a few! We also enjoyed meeting Amos, the Clysdale horse! Thank you Petrina and Nelson for sharing your piece of paradise with us.

Hilltop Farm Hideaway

Petrina & Nelson's place was very peaceful and welcoming. Petrina makes a point of touching base with you on arrival and was very hospitable throughout our stay. The property is well maintained for campers and the setting is quite spectacular with 360° views including Huntsman Lake, mountains bush and hills. Our site was very private, and we enjoyed the varied species of birds, and the wallabies which came out at dusk. Would recommend for a relaxed stay in a beautiful, natural setting.

This camp has amazing views. The photos on Hipcamp don’t do it justice. Very private on the three trees site, can see other campers but they are far away.

We loved staying at Hill Top Hideaway. The property is meticulously maintained with beautiful mown camp sites. We had superb natural surroundings of mountains, bush and lake views. An orchestra of native bird song was the soundtrack for our weekend. Petrina is an excellent host welcoming guests onto the property and an excellent communicator. Our favourite HipCamp to date. Will be back!!

Petrina and Nelson have an absolute gem of a Hipcamp, sitting hilltop with spectacular views to Huntsman lake and across the mountains. It is truly magical. All the sites are private, within viewing distance of each other only, and all have spectacular vistas. The sites are well kept, lawn is mown in advance, and the property is gated and locked for visitors only. Petrina is a wonderful host and we can’t wait to go back to her slice of paradise.

We honestly had the most amazing stay at Hilltop farm, the host Petrina was very responsive, clear directions and accompanied us to our site, which was huge. Stunning scenery and so serene totally what we needed to unwind. Close to Deloraine and plenty to see and do around area. Do yourself a favour this place is awesome

The sites are massive! Our site had the views of the mountains and Huntsmans Lake! With the firepit ablaze what a way to enjoy our new years eve! Just wish we had longer! Will definitely be back!

Awesome sites for small or large groups with views you will be more than happy with. Non potable Water is available if you ask the owners. Meander general store with a post office is very close by. With Deloraine a good sized town with a dump point and potable Water. Only 20 mins drive.

My first experience using Hipcamp, my first Australian and Tasmanian camping experience and I cannot recommend this gem enough. Petrina is remarkable and the Hideaway spot was exactly what I needed for rest and recuperation during the start of my caravan trip in Tasmania. Petrina provided details of the area and landscape as well as animals. I’m so grateful for this experience and will be booking again soon! Thank you Petrina and the Hideaway:)

This Hipcamp is the best Hipcamp we have ever stayed in, exceptional views, massive private sites, quiet location. Wish we could take it with us! Friendly hosts made us welcome. We stayed for 6 days, explored everywhere because staying in one location meant we had time to visit a lot of locations in a sixty kms radius

Hi well from the second the booking was made,the communication began,we were given directions to-the most amazing place i think iv’e ever been..Patrice ‘met us ‘ at the most amazing entrance to the farm’ guided us to our piece of absolute heaven,hospitality second to none!! The property is beautiful the the old draught horse loves a scratch the cows are awesome the fire pit’ the trees the ..i could keep going but i have nothing to say but great and greater thing about the Hilltop Farmif you visit tas u MUST..go to the hilltop farm for hospitality tranquility and a view u cant even imagine 110% Thankyou
