The topography slopes up from the road to a large flat top and is dotted with weathered gum trees. There are sweeping views in all directions, including a view of the sunrise to the east and spectacular sunset views toward Hobart's Kunanyi (Mount Wellington). The property has good access for all vehicles and there are plenty of flat sites for camping at the top of the property. Some minor leveling may be required in parts for RVs and Caravans. Plenty of space though to find your own peaceful, private patch. And you're welcome to bring your dog along too! Please note: some front wheel drive motorhomes have encountered difficulty getting up the driveway. If you have rented a Fiat Motorhome you wont be able to get to the campground We have one toilet available for shared use, self contained campers are encouraged to use their own facilities where possible. Situated within the Coal Valley Wine Region and just 30 minutes from Hobart, the property is the perfect location for travelers looking to sample glorious local food and wine, before returning to their picturesque base camp to recharge. A campsite all to yourself! Camp Sandford is located on our 2-acre bushland property, nestled in the heart of the South Arm Peninsula. Family- and pet-friendly (well-behaved pets only), children can enjoy the cubby house, and the attached mud kitchen can even double as a spot to wash dishes — sounds like a job for the young ones! With several surf beaches within a 5–10 minute drive, beautiful Mortimer Bay just a short, flat walk away, and private access to the Tangara Trail — offering 250 km of recreational trails through bushland and coastal reserves — you won’t be short of adventures. The local wildlife may come by to say hello. We regularly see wallabies, robins, and bandicoots, with occasional visits from echidnas, peregrine falcons, collared sparrowhawks, blue-tongue lizards, and even a snake or two (something to keep in mind during the warmer months). There is easy access for caravans and trailers, and tents are very welcome. Guests must bring their own toileting system or choose to rent the camp toilet tent when booking. At this stage, we can offer 10-amp power, but all water must be BYO. Caravans may require levellers due to a very mild slope on the site, though they are not essential. A fire pit is available during non-fire-ban periods. There is enough space for two caravans if you'd like to book with friends. Strictly no parties or amplified music. This is also our family home, though the campsite is screened from our house by trees and shrubbery, so noise should be kept to a minimum after 9 pm. Driving times: • Lauderdale (closest shops and cafés): 10 mins • Clifton Beach (surfing): 10 mins • Hobart Airport: 20 mins • Coal River Valley wine region: 25 mins • Hobart CBD: 30 mins (outside peak traffic hours)

Access height has been raised to 3.7meters. Pine Ridge has been developed over the years to be a natural park land with a good variety of local vegetation including stands of mature trees. lower scrub has been removed for physical and viewing access and to keep the property more secure and manageable. The vegetation also provides significant protection on windy days compared to many other open places. Native animals and birdlife abound the location. There is a community pergola area beside the substantial water hole which has a small jetty allowing easy access for swimming. There is also a stone barbecue and fire pit area available on suitable weather conditions. There are ocean views from the property's main road areas, which also provide a large area of flatish firm ground with large areas providing easy maneuverability and turning. The property is 2-3km from the main highway turn off that leads to the Douglas Apsley National Park. The corner of the property is only 50 meters from the park edge, with the Parks main access several km further along Rosedale Rd. The turn off is only 2 km from the town edge. It is sealed road except for the last 100meters and in good condition. FIRES. Ok unless a fire ban. GOOD BAGS OF WOOD ON SITE FOR $20. NO OUTSIDE WOOD CAN BE BROUGHT ONTO THE PROPERTY AND BURNT. I HAVE TRIED TO MAKE A MIDDLE GROUND ON THIS ISSUE BUT UNFORTUNATELY SOME HAVE ABUSED THE FAIR RULES SO THIS IS NOW THE SITUATION. NO FORAGING GROUND WOOD WITHOUT ASKING ME AND GETTING APPROVAL. The Little Garden Farm is a small farm with a private and exclusive Campsite - The Woodlander. The Little Garden Farm is a 100-acre forest and pasture farm that we began improving in 2023. The property is located at the base of Bruny's Isthmus, enjoying cool sea breezes in summer and mild temperatures in winter. The Woodlander Campsite is set in our bottom forest paddock, next to a dam, with a seasonal winter creek. It is private and peaceful, with no other campers, houses, or nearby neighbours. We welcome travellers, with up to two vehicles, who are here to enjoy the peace and quiet (no parties please). The campsite has its own separate access, site toilet, solid picnic table and chairs, firepit and and is approximately 600 meters from where we live. Next to 70 acres of forest the location is great for birdlife, with many of Tassie's endemics around, and other wildlife abundant after dark. We are always happy to help with birding or wildlife tips! Based approx 5 minutes from Alonnah and 10 minutes from Adventure Bay, the "Woodlander" is central to so much of what Bruny Island has to offer.

WildWing Retreat is a beautiful 25 acre bush block in Four Mile Creek, located within a 15 minute (1km) walk, to the local surf beach of Four Mile. The property has been created to host retreats centred around nature immersion, movement and connection (i.e yoga, bodywork, dance, meditation, mindfuness, embodiment practices etc) and in the 'off season' it's available to host hipcampers! The space has been designed to host large groups, so there are full facilities available to use, including 3 x compost toilets, a fully equipped communal kitchen with all plates, bowls, cups and cutlery, pots and pans, gas cookers and fresh running hot and cold water. There is also an undercover deck/hangout area, a shower block with 5 hot showers, and a wood-fired cedar barrel hot tub (refer to the extras section for hot tub use!). There are walking tracks throughout the property, including a track that leads directly to the beach (15 min walk) and another to our on-site fresh water creek for plunging in! We are surrounded by native wildlife and the property blooms with native Kunzea bushes, wattles, native cherries and various varieties of eucalyptus. There is a beautiful large fresh water river and waterhole just down the road (15 minute walk, or 2 minute drive), and aside from the surf beach down the front, we are also only a 10-15 minute drive from a bunch of other beautiful and popular surf beaches on the east coast. The whole area is great for fishing, boating, surfing, bike riding, walking and short hikes. We are a 10 minute drive from Falmouth, a 25 minute drive from the St Helens mountain bike trails, a 30 minute drive from Bicheno and Douglas Apsley National Park, a 45 minute drive from the infamous Bay of Fires and an hours drive from the Freycinet National Park. We only open up 5 sites at a time, to ensure everyone has plenty of space and a beautiful experience on the land. If you're looking for adventure, Bare Rock offers world class rock-climbing and is a short walking distance from Valley's Nest. If mountain-biking is your thing, Derby is an hour away, and 50mins to St Helens. And the exquisite East Coast beaches are 30mins away. If it's rest and relaxation you're needing, we have you covered with stunning views from the cabin and fire-bath, reading materials and paints. The cabin itself has a cosy wood stove heater, and is furnished with a double bed with pillows and a queen-sized doona. There is an undercover outdoor small kitchen with a 2 burner gas stovetop, basic kitchenware (with hand-held coffee grinder and aeropress), sink, solar lighting and rechargeable camping lanterns. The toilet is a private eco-throne with a view to Bare Rock. It is composting and only a short walk from the cabin. We provide you with wood for the indoor wood stove, an esky, bed linen, towels, tea-towels, basic kitchenware, cooking basics and toilet paper. The kitchen sink and bath water comes from a spring fed dam, perfect for washing your dishes and bathing in. Please bring your own fresh drinking water. Please note this is rustic accommodation, the cabin doesn’t have 240v, only a solar powered charging port with USB-A/C inputs to recharge the camping lanterns and your devices. You may wish to bring head torches for night time reading and card games! There is no wifi available but there is strong mobile phone service. Fingal is fondly known by the locals as "the Valley", and hosts several coffee and food vans for travellers passing through. Fingal is located just 15 mins to local township St Marys, where you'll find IGA Supermarkets and the popular pub/restaurant St Marys Hotel. Also the gold-prospecting rivers of Mathinna and Mangana are both short drives away.

If you want to see the coast shown in these photos, both the Tasman Island Cruise and Wild Ocean Tasmania offer excellent trips Bookings are for two adults; children under 16 are free. It may be possible for larger groups to occupy one site - please enquire before booking. As the site is teeming with wildlife including the barred bandicoot, we don't allow dogs. There are NO FACILITIES on the block so campers must have their own toilet. This is VERY important to note before you make a booking! There are good meals at the nearby Lufra Hotel and excellent coffee just up the road at the legendary Cubed Coffee van. We only make provision for two campsites so you'll never be crowded. Peaceful and rural, located just off the main highway between Hobart and Huonville. Twenty five minutes from CBD A short distance to rejoin the highway, with a nearby hotel offering meals if desired. Camp fire permitted in designated fire drums. Purchase a drum of wood $15 or cash 4 camp sites. Pines, Myrtle, Gums and Tea tree. Guests preferred be fully self-contained with their own toilet and shower facilities, and all waste must be taken upon departure. There are tent spots with the new compost toilet in working order. Pets are allowed but must remain on a leash. Longley is 30 minutes from Hobart and can be reached either via the Huon Road, which continues past Kunanyi/Mount Wellington, or via the highway through Kingston.

Immerse yourself in the heart of Bruny Island at this private slice of the iconic Neck. Instant book, no minimum nights. Dogs welcome (but please keep them inside the property boundary at all times). Our private campground is surrounded by towering Blue Gums, with ten well separated tent/campervan/caravan sites spaced comfortably across 11 acres. Note there are no toilet facilities here - you will need to take everything you bring with you! Note there is a toilet dump point at Alonnah, a short drive south of The Neck. A short walk along a path through the trees will have you standing on the iconic Neck ocean beach. This 11.5 kilometres of pristine sand and ocean offers surfing, swimming and fishing. The beach is also home to the island's Fairy Penguins who return to their burrows in the sand dunes at dusk. The best viewing period is during the warmer months of September to February. Bruny Island Cheese, Get Shucked Oysters, Bruny Island Honey are a ten-minute drive north. Adventure Bay with its Bowls Club, General Store and Service Station and coffee shop are a 15-minute drive south. Penicott Wilderness Journeys and Fish Bruny Island private charters are also located at Adventure Bay. 15 minutes drive to the south west is Alonnah, where you'll find the brilliant Bruny Island Hotel - a pub with the best food, service and amazing sunset view over the Channel and Satellite Island. Alonnah is also home to the local Police Station, Pharmacy, Cricket Club, two great coffee shop options, and a skate bowl for the concrete shredders. NOTE: your GPS is likely to send you several hundred metres south of the actual property entrance. Look for the small red Australian flag on the side of the road, indicating the location of the entrance. If you arrive at an old weatherboard cottage - you are at the right property, but the incorrect entrance to the campground.

Our group enjoyed camping at Inglis River Caravan and Camping sites. This was our second stay and love that it is quiet with a large camping area and nice designated firepits. We originally chose this site as we can bring our dogs with us for the weekend as well. Kids loved the play area and exploring the fairy garden! Would absolutely recommend to others 😊

There’s an obvious harmony with nature at the forefront of its build, a mission to rewild ourselves once again and to deepen our connection with the land we tread on everyday. Valleys nest was everything we hoped it would be, a fresh reminder of our role in the cosmos, a chance to stare up at the stars and remind yourself where you sit in that hierarchy. After 10 days of sleeping in our car travelling the full coast of Tasmania, this was the perfect reward for my brave partner who held her head high in many cold dark nights in the wilderness…

I loved camping here! Ann is super lovely and the place has such a charm to it- lots of wildlife around and a nice flat spot to set up my tent for a while. She was incredibly welcoming to me and my dog and the on site toilet (and the entire property) has character and is quaint, functional and cute. I'll be coming back here for sure, nice convenient location also! 🌸

Great location for camping! Trent was really friendly and he and his dog met us at the gate to show us which was the best spot. We were next to a little flowing creek. Communal toilet was good, clean and protected from the elements. Would definitely recommend this spot!

Scenic spot with private access to Connellys Marsh Beach. Some sheltered spots to get out of the wind or open spaces for beautiful water views. Good pull off area in front of driveway gate for longer rigs. Definitely worth a stay.

We had a great time at Pine Ridge. Tim was an attentive, and thoughtful host. Open spaces, a cute dam with an island in the middle. A great hideout for young pirates to explore. Only 3 campers at one time so very private. Highly recommend.
