Craigie Knowe Vineyard is a working vineyard and cellar door, set on 20 hectares, with 5 hectares under vine. It is the oldest vineyard on the beautiful East Coast of Tasmania. The homestead was built in 1836 and is one of the most photographed houses in Tasmania The cellar door is open 11-4, and offers chocolate and wine pairings, and normal tastings. We also have a restaurant on site open from 11:30 - 3:00 daily during summer. It is a beautiful vineyard with plenty of outside seating. There are also 5 other cellar doors within 10 minutes of the property, so it's a great basecamp for wine lovers! We offer a Big Breakfast Thursday through to Monday. Needs to be booked on arrival. We have plenty of level ground, ideal for pulling up for a night or several. Please note, all campers must be self-contained, with their own toilet, and we kindly ask you take all waste with you. Just outside the property, the Swan River flows past, a great place to cool off on hot days, sometimes there are fish there too. Swansea is 16km away and Bicheno is 26km away. Both towns have IGA supermarkets, bottle shops and restaurants, and plenty of history. Freycinet National Park is 40 minutes, and makes for a great day trip, with beautiful walks, fantastic scenery, and of course iconic Wine Glass Bay.Sites are allocated on arrival, with plenty of level ground, and all with lovely views and privacy. You'll be able to park up next to the Pinot Noir vines, a short walk to the cellar door area, where there are plenty of tables and chairs. Our Restaurant is open Thursday through to Monday each week for lunch. Sample menu is shown in photos. We also offer a big Breakfast Thursday through Monday, need to be booked on arrival. All guests need to be self-contained, with their own toilet please.

Plenty of space to park up and camp and lovely to be near the vines. Had a great wine tasting with Glenn who was kind enough to serve us even after they’d closed.

Huge property to stay on, nice and flat with plenty pof space between campers. A beautiful backdrop among the vines, nice and quiet, prefect for families or solo capers. Would highly recommend.

Lots of space to camp in the paddock next to the vines. 35 minutes drive to Freycinet National Park, close to Swansea and 9 Mile Beach. Great for a night or two!

Great free range camping. The property is lovely and a good base for exploring Freycinet National Park. Enjoyed our 3 nights there.
