Glenn offers a variety of places to set up camp. The vineyard is well established, the staff and Glenn are all kind and friendly. The 4 doggys will keep you company, Milo the German Shepherd, will be there to assist in setting up.

How amazing to be able to spend the night in a vineyard! Was a magical scene at sunset and sunrise. I ended up with the whole site to myself given its off peak season, so was super quiet. I did the winery including tastings prior to my stay over, to ensure I could make the most of it:)

We loved getting the opportunity to stay in the vineyard in our Self Contained RV.
We enjoyed waking up to a beautiful sunrise on this property.
It was entertaining watching the sheep in the morning getting out of the gate and then the farmers coming to round them up as a taste of what a working farm is like.
The vineyards were spectacular with the most grapes we have ever seen on the branches!
We wish we could have spent more time to enjoy the winery and restaurant but that gives us more of a reason to come back to visit!

Thanks Glenn, another great stay at Craigie Knowe! Perfect spot to set up base and visit the local wineries, day trips to Bicheno, Coles Bay and beyond.
Grass was much shorter than last time which made for a pleasant experience. Thanks again and we will be back again for sure

If you need a paddock to spend a night or 2 so you can leave your van and explore the area with your dog then this is it.
Yes it's a basic paddock on a working farm with the dreaded sheep and poo they bring with them poo and trucks getting around. Also yes there's a gas gun going regularly as there's vineyards everywhere so if you mistake that for people shooting like clockwork all day then you need get out of the big smoke every now and then and live a little. Also If you don't have enough physical strength to pick up a broken gate then have chat to the friendly owners and see if they can fit you among the vines that way for you can sip some wine and feel like the fancy city slicker that you probably are. Yeah $30 bucks a night might be a tad steep in comparison but I'd pay it again for the stopover location we needed and nice host.

Beautiful campsite literally amongst the vines at Craigie Knowe. Lovely to wander over in the afternoon to the cellar door for a drink and a cheese board. Glenn was a very accomodating host, his 3 dogs and chickens made us feel at home. Would highly recommend.

Unfortunately it wasn’t as pleasant as we hoped staying here. The camping area was huge but needed more regular mowing and the sheep are in the same paddock and therefore ALOT of sheep poo everywhere. We had a crawling baby with us and therefore had to spend the first half n hour picking up poo and moving it so the baby didn’t find it. Not what you should be doing after spending $30 a night on a place with no facilities. Then to top it off the following night I’m guessing it was the workers in the shed were blasting music all night long. And it was so loud. My husband ending up going up there after midnight asking them to turn it off and the young guys were drunk as anything and ended up turning the music back on 20minutes later. Literally heard them until 3 in the morning. From now reading other reviews it seems that this is a common occurrence. If you’re going to have regular parties with super loud music on your property then don’t charge people to camp there. In saying all this the owner and his son were very welcoming and friendly towards us about everything and the views were amazing.

At best a makeshift site; at worst an afterthought. The gates aren’t secured to posts and so you have to lift them up & carry them out of the way to get through and then reassemble them! Sheep are in the same paddock too — so dog off-leash isn’t really an option. And then there was all the local gunfire on neighbouring land from dawn to dusk. So everyone at the site was disgruntled.
With a bit more consideration for their paying customers, the owners would have happier campers. There really are better sites around for less money.

This camp has a lot of potential however it didn’t live up to expectations. Of the 3 Hipcamps we’ve stayed at over the past week, it was the most expensive but least impressive. We paid for 2 nights but left after 1.
It’s a big space and you can find a site that’s away from other campers which is good. The actual ground is covered in tufts of grass making the surface uneven to walk on. I also watched others, as well as my husband, struggle with the broken gate. It needs to be hinged and swing properly, not lifted both sides coming in and out. There is no rubbish/recycling receptacles as stated. Perhaps remove the car bodies too.
Lots of potential but not there yet for the price.

We had a great time camping in the paddock, there were a few others widely separated from us. The close proximity to the winery, Floras restaurant we’re a highlight, definitely have a meal there, such scrumptious food and the most generous of wine tastings

Camping in the vineyard is a treat. So quiet & peaceful with the cellar door 100 metres away.
Close to Freycinet NP.
Glen & the staff were friendly & helpful. Will definitely come back when next in Tasmania.

We were on the road desperate to find a place to camp with a tent and dogs, and when searching for Dog Friendly Tent sites, and this listing came up. It was not obvious that we needed to be self contained in the app, (as most tent campers are not) and since check-in was closed, we followed the signs on the road to find a basic large paddock. $30 per night seemed steep for a cramped field of campervans, with no trees or shade, but it was late, and we were desperate - and since we could see a port-o-loo on site, we booked the night online.
Unfortunately, one minute later we found that the port o loo was not in use!! and only after we booked and paid did the app plainly show that the site required us to be 'self contained'.
We left within 5 minutes of booking, but was not granted a refund.
This location should not be listed as a Tent site.

There was lots of room to pick our spot with views of the vineyard. We walked in for a great tasting and lunch at the cellar door. Swansea and 9 Mile Beach are very close for an afternoon swim.

Easy camping spot with huge open paddock to choose your space, great views across the field to vineyards, wine tasting and cheese platter was exceptional and we ended up grabbing a couple of bottles to take back to camp.

For a quiet night among vines this place is perfect! The father and son vineyard is lovely and the wine tastes great. Accessing the site was simple and easy and plenty of space to have privacy. Glenn is a top bloke and we actually ended up enjoying a wine or two with him! This place is worth the stop!

We had a wonderful afternoon at Floras Restaurant! Craigie was serving us absolutely a six-glass-tasting and afterwards we had a perfect meal. We stayed in our camper on a huge meadow and loved the calm surroundings! Thanks a lot Craigie!! 🤠

Because the groud was very wet we could not reach the campgrounhd with our camper.Nevertheless our host allowed us to park on the parking space.We did the wine tasting and next day the lunch.Especially the lunch was fantastic and the cook very flexible for one of us with gluten and dairy allergies.He prepared a special dish.For us it was a wonderful experience
