Camp and fish just a stonesthrow from one of Tasmania's most stunning natural landscapes, Cradle Mountain. Here you'll find nature at its best, just 10 minutes drive from the Cradle Mountain Visitors centre, the perfect base for discovering this magical area. Our campsites are on scenic, levelled areas overlooking the large dam and bushland, with grassed areas ideal for tents and camper-vans, and a portaloo a short walk away. The block is a natural timber and grassland block, with devils, quolls and wombats also residing here. We have one powered site available, and multiple unpowered sites. There is a lovely walking track around the dams periphery. Feed fish from the edge, spot platypus frolicking about, and keep your eye out for Peacocks wandering the property too. Whilst you are welcome to bring your dog with you, please ensure they don't harass the wildlife. A keen fisher fish in our dams for trophy size rainbow brown and brook trout catch and release fees and rules apply

Kids loved this campground. Amazing space to enjoy the mountain air and campfire. Beautiful spot with dams full of fish. Really clean and Scott very helpful and friendly. Highly recommend.

A fantastic retreat close to all of Cradle Mointain NPs must do list. Hosts were so accommodating and had thought of everything down to the cleanest and most decked out portaloos ever. Communication was easy, and hosts were easy to find if you needed them. A great variety of spots for different set ups. They easily accommodated out rooftop tent and family's caravan so we were next to each other. Fire drums as a great idea! A must fornirs price point and what you get is bang for your money! Highly recommend!

Lovely quiet place with beautiful veiws across the lake. Was able to purchase firewood for camp fire from Scott at time of booking so kept warm at night. Managed to see wedgetail eagle, wombats and wallaby in the wild . Very close to cradle and the devil sanctuary.

What a truly wonderful campsite. We really enjoyed our time here and will definitely be back. Well organised, portaloos were kept clean and hosts were very welcoming and helpful.

Cradle escape
Beautiful location by a small lake. Really well setup for exploring, walks around the lake and property, kayaking and just sitting by the fire. Only stayed one night wish we had time to stay longer. Spotted so much wildlife too

Couldn’t recommend more
We stayed here because it was conveniently near Cradle Mountain and it was an absolutely epic spot!! The toilets were the cleanest we’ve had (we’ve been travelling through Tas for a few week) & there was firewood. They’ve really thought of all the things you might need but it still feels like a peaceful camp in the middle of nowhere. The spot is beautiful and made even better by the fact you can sit by the fire — couldn’t recommend it more
