Good location for cradle mountain ,but no showers, just porta loos (which were very clean) Electrics need improving, an extended extension lead under a bucket with a stone on top doesn’t seem like the safest option

Scott was very friendly and helping. The property is well maintained and super close to Cradle mountains. So, you are nearly on Cradle monutain. The dam on property is value add to your stay to watch and stroll along.

Lovely quiet campsite right in the heart of nature! Everything you need and very clean. Hosts were lovely, and only 10 mins from cradle mountain. Even had kayaks and boats available for free.

We had a lovely overnight stay here. Went fishing & managed my PB which was fun. Scott was very accommodating easy to get on with and very helpful.

Fantastic flat campsites, beautifully maintained property with BBQs, fire-places, very clean Portoloos, great views, easy walks for the dog - and excellent hosts! So close to Cradle too. Thanks Scott - we had a ball and we’re definitely looking forward to staying again!

This is a great Hip-camp, highly recommend staying here. Great little lake, kayaks provided a paddle boat it was great fun and a walking track around the lake.
We were only 15 min away from Cradle Mountain with the cost of the stay it was so worth it.

Scott and his wife Linda were lovely and welcoming hosts on their camping and fishing property. Despite the rain, we managed to enjoy a firepit ($25 for a wheel barrow + firelighter) and trout fishing ($65 for 24h with 1 rod and 5 trout pellets on hooks provided - catch and release only). Their pond is heavily stocked with large trout which are very fun to catch on 6LB line! There are clean portaloos and gas BBQ facilities on the property. They even provided us with a bucket of hot soapy water to clean our dishes. Areas to park RVs are on gravel. No potable water, but water can be boiled for 3 mins before drinking. Would definitely stay here again when visiting Cradle Mountain and wanting a more 'off grid' experience. Lovely hospitality 5/5.

Cradle Mountain Fishery and Camping has everything you need and more as a base to explore Cradle Mountain. The property is a beautiful piece of bushland, and the facilities (toilets, bbqs, sites) are well maintained. Scott was very welcoming and eager to assist when I arrived.

Loved the place, the walk around the lake was beautiful in the morning and all the facilities were perfect and clean. We had a great time and is a perfect place to stay when visiting Cradle Mountain. It felt homely and the offer of free WiFi was so appreciated.

Had a spontaneous night at this campsite but we enjoyed it. Host was accomodating and the view was amazing. Too bad we bad to leave early for the cradle mountain.

What a bloody gem of a place. I strongly recomend this place to anyone visiting the area even if youre not into fishing. This property is so well equipped with BBQ's and bins around the different sites, the porta loos are so well maintained and actually smell nice inside. The host Scott is a lovely bloke. One evening was not enough time in this location. I will be returning!

Scott was friendly, easy to communicate with and helpful. We loved the big lake and the swing chair to sit on to relax and look out for platypus’s. It was quiet and peaceful and we would have taken the boat out in the lake if the weather had of been better. The BBQs around were very handy and the portaloos were clean. Great stay, thanks for having us Scott

I arrived after dark and was greeted by the host, who was lovely and so helpful with all directions on where to camp and a little about the site. Camping in off-season meant there was a few spots available and I was able to get a beautiful spot adjacent to the lake, which was absolutely stunning to wake up to. The facilities were clean and easy to get to, and the location was about 15mins from the Cradle Mountain tourist hub. There wasn’t any reception bars with Optus however I did forget to ask if there was any wifi, but it was also great to disconnect for the evening and just sit under the amazing view of the stars. Definitely would camp again!!

Lovely spot to camp beside the dam filled with fish. Spotted a couple of eagles, fairy wrens and plenty of water hens. There’s even a platypus in the dam.

Scott was still available at 8pm when we arrived after some unexpected delays and gave us our bearings - had a spot just up from the waters edge with a fire pit and seated area. Was a nice walk around the lake in the morning too

I'd definitely recommend staying! We really enjoyed camping here. We arrived fairly late (about 8pm) and Scott the host showed us around and suggested some spots to pitch, which was helpful as it was already dark.
It's a nice campsite by a fishing lake, where we saw a platypus swimming around. We love wildlife so this was amazing! You can buy firewood and BBQs are available to use, though we didn't as it was pretty rainy during our visit. There is water but you are advised to boil or treat it before drinking. The toilets are three portaloos which were kept very clean throughout our stay.
It's 15 minutes from Cradle Mountain Visitor Centre so a great location too.

Scott's campsite was absolutely wonderful. There were many great ammenities that were very well maintained. The site itself was gorgeous, providing a misty morning wake-up next to the water. Its close proximity to the Cradle Mountain National Park was also perfect, minimising the amount of travel time my friends and I needed to account for. Scott is also just a really welcoming and helpful host, would HIGHLY recommend.
