We loved camping here, we were also the only people so had the whole place to ourselves! The spot has gorgeous views of farms all around it and it was very easy to find (only 30 mins from Launceston). Would definitely camp here again, thanks so having us.

Whilst not completely private (close to a road and neighbours) we didn’t feel exposed, we were here during an extreme weather event with very high winds and felt relatively sheltered from the wind. Walk to the toilet is about 50-100 metres slight uphill, we appreciated both hot and cold water for handwashing. We were not able to use the fire pot and wood that we paid extra for as it was wet when we arrived and there was no dry wood available. We appreciated Lesley allowing us to use the shower.

Didn't stay - incredibly steep hill

Unfortunately I wasn't able to stay - I found the photos misleading, and there was no way I would have been able to sleep anywhere on the very steep hill without sliding one way or the other. The gate that I believe had access to the bathroom was also tied shut and I didn't feel comfortable breaking it open. There's a comfy free campsite in the main town that was more suitable. The host was very nice when I came, but not communicative with questions after that.

Wasp nest and not private

Camp-site wasn't private at all, was very cramped and there was a wasp nest. Toilet doesn't have a lock so not very safe for female travellers. I also paid for a fire pit and wood, when I arrived john said that the fire pit had been hired out to someone else and didn't even offer to pay me back the money. My partner is allergic to wasps so we packed up and left. I understand that bugs cannot be helped but he should've gotten the wasp nest removed. Also terrible views.

Lovely spot, not really flat though. I also ordered a fire pit, but John didn’t provide any paper to light it, and the wood was wet.

Very peaceful.
We were disappointed there were no animals though (No geese or anything)
The hosts were very friendly and our toddler loved getting up in the old tractor.
Apples were delicious too.

Quiet and peaceful campsite with lovely hosts and wildlife buzzing around in the sun. Campfire is a must and stars are stunning. We would loved to have stayed longer! :)

I loved Cherry Top so much I stayed for 3 nights!!! The hosts, John and Leslie are an absolute delight, truly wonderful and welcoming people! The camping was quiet and easily assessable in my van (that isn't good off road), I stayed in both the villa and the camping sites, and enjoyed both equally! Lilydale is a little piece of paradise, and the farm is beautiful! Don't hesitate, just book your stay already!!

What a nice place to stay. The tour was great. my daughters got to pick lots of fruit for there baskets and cracked some hazelnuts. However the highlight would have to had been feeding the geese apples and pears ever morning. We also ordered a basket of fresh vegetables.

Beautiful setting in the peaceful Lilydale town.
John & Leslie are wonderful hosts and have such a stunning property. The property has a beautiful layout with clean toilets and showers available to arrange. Have a wonderful view of the mountains and stunning picturesque stargazing views at night.
Hop on into lend a hand picking some hazelnuts or purchase their fresh produce. Heaps of activities & options for kids.
Now for the negative comments here please remember this is a farm in a farm town so yes there are cows, geese and other animals around so the occasional noise is bound to happen, but we have stayed for a few weeks at this space and couldn’t complain about a thing.

It was a quaint, quite canpsite in a cute town of Lilydale. There was an ample supply of firewood provided at a reasonable cost and we opted to have the garden tour, which my daughter and I loved. The hosts were very lovely. We roasted our hazelnuts right on the fire (in the shell) and Lesley showed us how to use the antique cracking dohickey. So many fruit trees that produce and the veggie gardens as well, we love fresh produce! We even got to feed the geese. We would definitely recommend this Farm Stay!

We stayed 3 nights. The camp grounds have nice views but are not very big with not many flat areas. The farm’s selling point is the lovely fruit and veggies including delicious hazelnuts one has access to from the host/farm. We purchased two lots of fire wood but this was just what was lying around from the last campers. So it’s a bit of a rip off. This has been an issue with a few Hipcamps we have been too. The big problem with this Hipcamp unfortunately is the geese. There is a population of something like 20 to 30 geese and they make a racket all day and all night. We got woken up early every morning. It’s a deal breaker for me when you just want the peace and quiet of a farm. Had terrible sleeps. Maybe good for a night at best passing through. All in all has all the ingredients for a nice relaxing few days but those geese ruin it.

Nice little spot with friendly cows in the adjacent field, fruit trees, and a walk through a flourishing vegetable patch to the camp toilet at the farmhouse.
We were the 5th unit in and others had already blocked the fire pit area. Would love to bring firewood again for a little campfire here though.

What a beautiful, and quaint space to camp! The scenery & facilitates were just what we needed for a great little family trip.
Our only critique would be the very loud, early wake up call from the properties geese… but I guess that’s camping right 🤷🏼♀️🤣

As a family homeschooling, this was an excellent stop. The kids learnt a tonne from Leslie who was an amazing host and so thoughtful with the kids which means more than most people know as parents who have plenty of other things to work on when travelling. The site was great, thanks John and Leslie for keeping the bathroom clean also.

We loved the serene location, and our hosts, John and Leslie, were incredibly welcoming! We enjoyed exploring their fruit and vegetable gardens, and Leslie even went the extra mile to show us their beautiful property. My experience was wonderful, I was very well received, I felt welcomed and safe. The space is super nice, and it helps a lot to have the bathroom available. I had two wonderful nights. I would definitely go back.

John was warm and inviting. We got offered some home made mead from him which was delicious. We even tried his hazelnuts which were very tasty too!
Stayed on his paddock out back. Heaps of space and a communal fire pit was on offer too.
There was a flush toilet attached to the house which was clean and operated as need be.
