The location was right off the highway but once you get to your spot the road noise was very minimal. Host was very accommodating for a very last minute booking (less than 2 hours warning with a 9pm arrival). Host was out of town but very responsive to messages and helped how she could, we are pretty low maintenance though. It was very windy in this area but I think if you only had a tent you could find some way to break the wind easily. There were other guests on the property but no problems arose and everyone kept to themselves. Bathroom/shower access was a huge plus. Also super friendly kitty cats on property. The parking was ample, the fire pit was awesome and this met all of our needs for backpacker car camping 👍🏽

If you’re looking for a nice spot to get some sleep in South East South Dakota, this is it. I was parked behind the barn. Lots of privacy. Also a fair amount of bugs but it was summer and next to a corn field so no surprise. Bring earplugs because the cows on the other side of the field could get noisy. And the occasional train might make its presence known. Again, earplugs took care of everything and I got a great night’s sleep. I’d stay here again. Thanks Kelley!

What a gem! Noreen was incredibly welcoming and upon arrival showed us around the gorgeous property. There was everything from a shower to a pergola to relaxing swings and plenty of peaceful areas with the backdrop of a cornfield privacy ‘hedge’. She offers various accommodations but we never even saw the other guests despite being on the same piece of property. The ranch can also be used as a wedding venue and that must be spectacular as well!

Well, no one ever responded to my two messages regarding my arrival. When I did arrive anyway, the host’s mom let me know her daughter was a contestant on Big Brother, and she had no access to the account.
I can tell the place might normally be really cute, but the outdoor areas were sort of disheveled, and I didn’t know where I could hang out. I was told a wedding was happening that weekend.
I imagine when the host is there, things run more smoothly.
The bathroom and showers are clean and open during the night which is helpful.

My partner and I were looking for a safe, convenient place to park our van overnight on a road trip to Denver, and Kelley’s spot was perfect. We arrived a bit late, but she welcomed us warmly and helped us find a great place to park. The bathrooms and showers were clean and well-maintained, such a nice bonus! We even got to relax on the swings as we wound down for the night. Though we were only there briefly, it’s clearly a peaceful, charming property--and would make a beautiful spot for a wedding!

What a cute spread! I was able to put my van in the back corner with the beautiful sky and corn fields. It’s so quiet out there that I got the best night’s sleep. They are also an event space so the bathrooms were on point and nicely decorated. Great place to stop when crossing the country and not too far Interstate 29. Great hosts who are friendly and leave you to it which I appreciate.

We loved the nice, quiet setting! The lights, buildings, and pavilion were so beautiful. We especially appreciated the availability of a shower! The art and iron fence and country decor were a nice touch. This would be such a great place for so many types of events. We really loved the mulberry tree by the old barn.

Clean bathroom and shower. We car camped after a surprise thunderstorm scared us out of our tent. Host was very accommodating and set up an electric grill since we couldn’t get the camp fire going. We would stay here again. Thank you.

This is a very busy, well lit, social spot for those who are looking for opportunities to interact. It is a beautiful site and the team running it are attentive, honest, helpful and everything you would want. There has been so much creativity and time put into this venue, that I wished I could rate it higher. There is nothing "wrong" with the site. I just wonder if they are trying to serve too many target markets. This venue seems to be everything to everyone and I think that is what causes the issues.
Well lit, means EXTREMELY well lit meaning multiple high-lumen LED white lights (not amber). While they were programmed to go off in the middle of the night, they did not on this night. AirBnb guests have different experience expectations and they can be very incompatible with some types of HipCampers who put a priority on the lack of interaction and personal privacy.
I could recommend this venue as a wedding venue. The camping area would be absolutely perfect for a kid's birthday party and a night out sleeping in tents. The cottages seem very well done, and a family reunion under the pavilion would be perfect. I just can't recommend it for Hip camping because of the lack of privacy and the close proximity of other guests with other expectations.

Kelley’s property is incredibly quiet, tucked between fields of corn. A sweet cat befriended me during my stay. You can park your car anywhere on the grass, and I was lucky enough to catch sunset over the corn. I was very grateful for a shower and a peaceful stay!

We loved our stay at Blue Tin Ranch! Our host met us at the entry and gave such a warm welcome. She also had swag for our group too. The land is absolutely beautiful and very relaxing. It was a perfect stay!

Overall it was okay but it didn’t really live up to the pictures and it seems like a storm came through causing damage and it was kind of just taped off and sticks/boards were left all over. The basketball thing wasn’t accessible due to its placement and we just didn’t necessarily feel safe walking around with nails and screws sticking up out of boards in multiple areas. One of the stalls in the men’s room was also not functional. The pathway was a cute and our daughter did enjoy that. We also did appreciate wood being provided. (granted you had to go find it yourself)

Noreen met me right when I pulled in and helped me find a spot to plug in for the night. She was incredibly kind and helped with my camping plans in the western part of the state as well. She even sent me a weather update for that area! The location is beautiful and I was treated to a shower the next day with soap and towels provided. Highly recommend!
