Enjoy your peaceful view of the Socastee Creek located approximately 4.5 miles from the beach. You can enjoy bass fishing , kayaking, hiking, or hanging out at our cool fire pit and gaze at the stars all night long on our 32 acres of property. There is super fast internet access at the brick fire pit and the picnic tables.  Each campsite has its own private fire pit as well.  We have an outdoor therapeutic shower with hot water.  We have a toilet or portable toilet available as well with private access.   The Socastee Community, located about three miles from Peachtree Landing on the "Sawkestee" Creek and the Waccamaw River, prospered during the economic boom from the naval stores industry that began in the first part of the 1800's. A mercantile business and turpentine distillery existed in the Peachtree Landing area after the Civil War. A plat dated 1875 showed two acres on Socastee Creek, indicating a tar kiln in existence. In the wake of the development of the turpentine industry, Socastee became a center for trade due to its prime location, access to shipping via the Waccamaw River and the vast resources of the primal pine forests. There are plenty of places close by and only 5 minutes away! Tanger Outlets, Market Common, Coastal Grand Mall, Broadway at the Beach, independent brewing company etc! Yep! 5 minutes away! This is the ultimate location for social distancing and you can still experience all of Myrtle Beach!  The owner lives on site with his adorable Siberian Husky. Questions? Just Ask!

Creek Camping almost Glamping!
Great hidden pocket of land in the middle of Myrtle Beach. Beautiful spot, with great creek access for kayaking as well. Very nice shower and toilet option. Patrick is a kind and friendly host. I would definitely stay here again.

Creek Camping almost Glamping!
Great first camping trip
I thoroughly enjoyed my stay here! It was my first time camping by myself but I felt very safe. Patrick is super nice and put me at ease right away, answered all my questions about the property/campsites, and even gave me ice for my cooler. I stayed at the creek site and had so much fun hanging out by the fire pit, roasting hotdogs and s’mores. Also the outdoor shower was incredible- I waited until dark so I could look up and see the stars while I showered! So cool! Unfortunately bad weather cut my trip short, but it was such a great first camping experience anyway! The only drawback was lots of planes taking off nearby during the night (the camp is near an airport), but if you’re a deep sleeper it probably won’t bother you too much. I definitely recommend staying here!!
