We had a wonderful stay at Black Bear Farm in Travelers Rest! The campsites and property are incredibly spacious, giving you plenty of room to spread out and enjoy the peaceful surroundings. The grounds are beautiful, well maintained, and it’s clear the hosts take great pride in their property.
The hosts were exceptionally gracious and even invited us to a gathering during our stay. We had to politely decline since we were tired from the day and wanted to stay with our pup, but the invitation was such a thoughtful gesture and made us feel very welcome.
They’re also continuing to improve the property, including adding a bathroom, which will make future stays even better.
We’d definitely recommend Black Bear Farm to anyone looking for a relaxing place to camp, and there’s a good chance we’ll be back ourselves!
Great property, services easily available, well maintained and secure…will return for a longer stay!
We’ve stayed here twice, and Jason keeps improving the property. Perfect place to stay when in the Greenville area. 3 nice RV sites with full hook-ups (ask for the shady spot :-))

The hookups were on the wrong side. There also was no place to throw the garbage. It’s not planned out very well. However, it is a nice secluded property that is easy to get to.

Beautiful place. No issues with water, electric or sewer. AT&T has a hard time, tho! If you have a longer RV, use caution pulling in.

The RV sites are wonderful, level and have full hookups. Jason built a fire for us the first night. It was quiet in the evening and it is such a beautiful property. Jason is building something special here.

Black Bear Farms was the perfect stay. My daughter and I had the place to ourselves, it was very clean, easy to find, and so peaceful. Steve was incredibly attentive and flexible, especially when we accidentally picked the wrong spot at first and he was totally fine letting us stay put.
We really appreciated the local recommendations and only wish we had more time to explore the area, especially Travelers Rest. Tandem for crepes absolutely lived up to the hype. We’ll definitely be back and would absolutely stay at Black Bear Farms again.

Clean, quiet, great location for riding or exploring Travelers Rest and Greenville.
My husband and I stayed here in a 33’ motorhome with a Toad and bikes. We had a spacious level gravel pad to park on. Jason showed up right after we arrived to help us get parked. Of note- the RV is 12’ 7” tall and we could not get backed down into the spot due to tree limbs. Jason then directed us to utilize the grass to get into the space. He made sure we found our hookups and since electrical was a distance away he provided an extra cord.
It was a nice property to off leash dogs and enjoy sunsets. We love to e-bike so enjoyed numerous miles on the Swamp Rabbit Trail getting clear into Greenville and back along with the country roads. Jason shared best back country roads to connect with trail.
Speaking of country…there are chickens next door that will-start crowing around 2am. Not the fault of Jason but just an fyi. It was bothersome at first but we kinda got used to it after 5 nights.
Jason is very pleasant, helpful and cares about his property and guests. I would recommend his place if you want to bike or hike as there are a lot of nice options in the area.

We loved camping at the property. We camped in a Roof Top Tent and the area where we parked was very flat and open.
Jason had a nice fire pit at the site, although we never got to use it due to exploring the area all day.
Other campers were quiet and courteous.
We would go back next time we head to Greenville/Traveler’s Rest area!

Upon arriving you can immediately see that Jason takes great care of the land. It is evident that he has spent time and used his skills to create a unique camping experience. Not to mention, he is knowledgeable of the area with great suggestions for food and activities.

We had a great time at Jason’s land. He has worked so hard to make it beautiful and Is so considerate of his guests. I would recommend if your coming for the swamp rabbit trail and great food, you will not be disappointed

Very nice fairly level gravel lots with firepit, and they were nice enough to supply wood! They are adding a bathroom shed between the 2 lots, which is amazing! Maybe a little over a mile away to the swamp rabbit trial. Once on the trail I think it was about 11-13 miles or so to Greenville. The trail is paved and not hilly, which made for a nice ride to town. This spot is a gem to camp on and the hosts were super nice and helpful... we'll definitely be back!
Nice little spot tucked in to a private 8 acre property. Owner Jason was very nice. Even accommodated us after a smaller rpod camper took the wrong site and left us with one that wouldn’t fit our rig. Jason set us up in a great spot elsewhere on property with full hook up’s. Very close to Travelers Rest and awesome biking and shops / restaurants.

Beautiful piece of land! Great site (1) - very level, everything you need. Jason gives fantastic local recommendations. We loved how close the property was to the Swamp Rabbit Trail, Travelers Rest and Greenville. We will be back!

We loved our stay on Jason's land! Beautiful, peaceful, convenient to Traveler's Rest and Greenville, and lovely sunsets. We really appreciated the (unexpected) picnic table, wood available on-site, and many thoughtful touches. Our five year old was able to run freely, which was such a great experience for him. We will be back!

Thank you Jason for sharing your slice of heaven with us this weekend. Black Bear Farm is absolutely beautiful and so perfectly peaceful. Just a few minutes from the amazing restaurants and shops that Travelers Rest has to offer, Jason greeted us upon our arrival and left us to explore his property and town. This Hip Camp is just a quick drive to downtown Greenville. We cannot wait to come back!
When we got there, Jason was there to help guide us into the perfect position on the camp spot. There is a very cool fire pit area with nice seats where you can actually watch the moon come up and on the other side of that is the sunset.
We had a very good stay at Jason's property. The sites are as described, and Jason is working on expanding his offerings there. We were able to have our dogs off leash, which was a huge plus for us. It's a 2 mile backroad bike ride to the Swamp Rabbit trailhead and easy access to all Travelers Rest has to offer. We would stay here again if in the area.

Great location. The owner went above and beyond to accommodate. Even with rainy weather. We will visit again.
Jason’s spot was perfectly located between Greenville and Hendersonville. We enjoyed spending time outside on his land, and our daughters enjoyed all the space to run around. Highly recommend!
