Welcome to "The Pines", 10 acres of farming land opposite Kuitpo State Forest. Located only 35 minutes from Adelaide and with easy access to some of the Adelaide's best beaches. Residents consist of horses, alpacas, sheep, kangaroos, colourful parrots, assorted local wildlife, and our farm K9s'. We have a quiet camping area with a lovely dam setting and direct access to the State Forest and 1200 km Heysen Trail. Permanent residents at the Pines include; horses, alpacas, sheep and our farm dogs. An abundance of local wildlife are frequent visitors including kangaroos, Koalas and a range of amazing bird life. You can set up your van or swag near the dam and watch a beautiful sunset as the wildlife and bird life return to settle for the night, while after dusk and at dawn the local Kangaroos graze nearby. If you enjoy bush walking or bike riding you can access The Heysen Trail direct from our gate, but if you prefer a shorter adventure then a stroll through the lovely Kuitpo Forest reserve is also directly accessible. A great location to take advantage of the 74 Wineries and 160 Vineyards that make up the surrounding McLaren Vale Wine Region. Sorry........... Pets are no longer welcome as some owners have disregarded our request that dogs be kept on a leash. Campers must be fully self contained with their own camping toilet and must take all waste and rubbish with them on departure.

The Pines
We stayed for a weekend retreat and absolutely enjoyed ourselves. The area is flat and grass which was perfect for our tent. Being beside the dam added for lovely views especially around sunset. So peaceful and quiet. Patrick was great host and provided alternate entrance due to the weather. Would definitely camp again!

It was a great little spot. Nice level green area with a peaceful dam to sit watch while you sit by the campfire enjoying a beer!

As much as I would love to complain about something, I can't complain about The Pines. It was a great spot and I'd book it again.

Beautiful outlook with the large dam and its water birds. Great flat site with green grass. We really enjoyed the serenity.
