This forty acre bushland retreat adjoins a national park and Heysen Trail. There are rocks and glorious trees for the kids to climb and explore while adults sit back and soak up the tranquility. The perfect place to unwind. Wake up to bush birdsong. Spot a kangaroo or two at dusk. 10 mins. drive to Barossa's wineries, cafes and attractions. Clean shared pit toilets. (One toilet per two sites). Showers adjacent Tanunda Visitors' Centre 6am-10pm. Campfires permitted in designated pits. To order firewood see Extras. Good mobile reception. Sorry no dogs as we often have sheep and lambs grazing. If towing a caravan/camper best to bring 4WD. If not, 2WD is fine. Always be mindful not to set camp under large trees. Site map easy to view on smartphones. Check My Trips in your profile for directions. Sorry we close Rangelands in summer due to fire risk. Easter 3 nights min. stay.

    Absolutely beautiful grounds, very peaceful & lots of wildlife to see. There were no other people camping during our stay which made it feel very exclusive. Excellent communication from Sue & Warren regarding weather conditions. We had a brilliant time thanks.

    Rangelands is a magical location! Breathtaking views are matched by cosy, comfortable campsites. Blue wrens abound, as does a variety of other wildlife. Kaiserstuhl Conservation Park next door is a bonus. Stargazing under the new moon is spectacular. Many thanks to Sue and Warren's generosity.

    Stunning country - felt like Heidi romping through flowery meadows. If you want nature as far as the eye can see, this is it, with rocks and trees to climb. Facilities blend in.

    Amazing site, thanks so much to Warren and Sue for sharing their property. Incredible views and easy access to Kaiserstuhl conservation park. Loads of space (actually we had the whole place to ourselves) and lots to explore. Great fire pit which we used well. Thanks again, we will be back!

    Such a beautiful spot! Thankyou to Warren & Sue for allowing us to camp here. Beautiful surrounds, simple, clean toilet facilities. Will definitely be back! We only have a 2wd car & since there had been rain the path in/out was just manageable. Would recommend 4wd in bad weather. Thanks again!

    Loved this place. The property is beautiful, tranquil and quiet. It is nicely located near the park with some spectacular views and scenery. Great place to unwind / hike / ride. Great communication from the hosts made for a pleasant stay. Thanks Warren and Sue for sharing this space.

    Enjoyed a single night stay in lovely surroundings on a well thought out property. Campsite was great for us and well situated @ Wood Duck (thanks for moving us Warren). Fire was fantastic. Toilet facilities excellent and location felt remote although not far from civilisation. Recommended. Thanks

    This place is perfect. The host was well communicated and even provided advice on setting up camp! Well and truly an amazing place to stay if you want peace and quite. Will definitely be coming back again soon!

    A return to Rangelands and this time with grand daughters, their first time camping. They had a great time climbing rocks and a night nature walk looking for critters. It’s a wonderland for kids. Thanks Warren and Sue Michael

    I had no idea that the hills surrounding the Barossa Valley were so beautiful and full of wildlife. Sue and Warren have an amazing parcel of land just minutes away from some of the region’s most renowned attractions, but their property is hidden away and very private. Well maintained facilities too!

    Stringybark site was perfect for our camper trailer, great views, close to the walking trails, peaceful and just a 10 minute drive down to Tanunda wineries. For those inclined there's excellent 4G connectivity. Warren and Sue were great hosts and we will be back! Cheers Trav & Elle

    I would rather keep this place to myself than tell people about it! A perfect tranquil site adjacent to a conservation park. Trees, birds, large pituresque rocks and clean, well appointed facilities. We will definitely return

    What a wonderful part of the world! We were stunned by the beauty of the property, and were very grateful for the distance between the campsites, which gave privacy. The Heysen Trail was very close and easily accessible. Fire pits were great to have and longdrops not that stinky! Wonderful place.

    Perfect setting and location to spend 3 nights in the Barossa! We stayed at the Stringy Bark campsite and the landscape is amazing! Toilet was WELL above what we expected, plus Warren and Sue were so accommodating and lovely! Also very close to town, coffee and wineries. Really loved our time there.

    We loved the location and the serenity of the property - it felt like we were all alone in this beautiful bushland setting. Toilets were clean and we loved the recycle bins. Only downside was the noise of a nearby wind machine protecting the grapes from frost - beware if camping during frosty nights

    Rangelands is a secluded location with great views sheep and Kangaroos. The toilets are basic however very clean and practical. It was great to be able to have a campfire and really enjoy camping. The other added bonus is being close to all the Barossa has to offer. We will be back soon.
