Pichi Richi Park is our family owned and operated property, 13km south of Quorn in the heart of the Pichi Richi Pass. We have plenty of campsites, including bush campsites that are secluded and private, along with campsites that are much closer to our bathrooms, group accommodation, kitchens and bush cabins. Here at Pichi Richi Park, there are a number of signposted walking tracks ranging in distance from a few km up to a 10km+ loop. The Heysen Trail comes through our property for nearly 7km and some of our own walking tracks link with the Heysen as it meanders through our property. You can also ride your mountain bike around and the Mawson Bike Trail is not far away. We have over 1,000 acres of land around our accommodation that we do not graze as we are allowing this beautiful piece of Aussie outback to return to its original and pristine state. We are not a caravan park, so all campers and caravanners that come here get a fair bit of space and nobody is on top of anyone else. Quorn is our local town and is 13km away to the north. Quorn has 2 pubs, a number of cafes and a little supermarket that is open from 7am to 8pm 7 days a week.You can grab one of our bush campsites or camp in the old horse yard, or under the box trees near our large campfire pit. We have his and hers, recently renovated bathrooms, an outdoor kitchen and plenty of space. Pichi Richi Park faces the east and looks over the beautiful and rugged Devil's Peak, that turns orange in the evenings with the reverse sunsets. We are inundated with kangaroos, see the odd emu, have had more than 80 bird species identified here and have the most interesting array of little lizards and geckos.

You can grab one of our bush campsites or camp in the old horse yard, or under the box trees near our large campfire pit. We have his and hers, recently renovated bathrooms, an outdoor kitchen and plenty of space. Pichi Richi Park faces the east and looks over the beautiful and rugged Devil's Peak, that turns orange in the evenings with the reverse sunsets. We are inundated with kangaroos, see the odd emu, have had more than 80 bird species identified here and have the most interesting array of little lizards and geckos.

We had the best time with our 3 kids and dog! The site Hamish suggested was close enough to the toilets but we still felt secluded. Kids loved the volley ball court, riding bikes and exploring. Lovely to have a fire and the hike up the hill is excellent. Loved Warren Gorge as a nearby dog friendly hike.

I had a lovely stay at Pitchi Ritchi park. Hamish showed me to a great spot on arrival. There was a school group on site but I didn't see them much. Some road noise but it wasn't intrusive.

We loved our stay at Pichi Richi Park. The view we had was beautiful and got to see lots of wildlife. We went on the Pichi Richi train and could see our swags through the hills as the train went by. I would recommend staying there.

The facility is well looked after and the shower block is very well maintained.. It's a charming and beautiful location just out of Port Augusta where you can find good coffee and shops. Check-in was easy and the tent site was perfectly situated and spacious. Great views! Only thing, they charged us $20 for firewood but the amount of wood was little. Recommend you bring your own bag of firewood as it is not aloud to collect firewood in the reserve. Very convenient and lovely with bush walks and pristine views.

Awesome views with a Good level camp pad. We felt like we were way out in the national Park, however we were not far out off the services of Quorn.Excellent walking hikes all close by such as Devils Peak and Warren Gorge.Highly recommend.

We absolutely loved our stay, it rained the whole time we were there but Hamish was so lovely and helpful. Beautiful views and very relaxing.

We loved Pichi Richi Park. We stayed at a campsite and bought wood for a fire. Binky the dog was a favourite with our kids. We walked up to the heysen trail just before sundown. It was a good short walk and a great view. It rained overnight. The only down-side to our stay was the sticky clay. Overall, a great stay.

Excellent bush camp at the beginning of Ikara Flinders Rangers Hamish is a great host and we slept well under a huge milky way Quiet and stunning scenery with lots of Kangaroos and emus and good hiking Also kitchen and bathroom facilities were spotless and very accessible. I would highly recommend recommend it to travelers

Great spot with excellent facilities. We shared an unpowered site with friends a short drive from the main area. The kids loved the table tennis and exploring about the camp area. Would recommend to anyone looking for a quiet spot that's not too far from Quorn. Both the pubs are great, the gin distillery is pretty good as is the Scrubby Fella (superb cocktails). The IGA is well stocked.

A Flinders Bush Camping Must-Stay

The stay at Pichi Richi Park was the perfect way to start our Flinders trip. Greeted by the gorgeous dog Binky, Hamish welcomed us and lead us to a phenomenal private camping spot close to the train line, and surrounded by the bush. The amenities here are some of the best we have ever had, and we even had a lovely breakfast guest in dear Binky! (Which had nothing to do with our sizzling bacon, I’m sure…) Thank you team for a wonderful stay - we will definitely be back!

We loved tent camping at Pitchie Ritchie Park. There were beautiful views and a clean campsite. Facilities were amazing and it was easy location to get to. Even at Easter the campground was quiet and we were a good distance away from other people. We all loved cooking over the fire pit.

Great stay over Easter weekend at Pitci Richi, Hamish found us a quiet camping spot, far away from other campers. Beautiful views, Hamish very friendly and welcoming. Toilets and shower block very clean. Would definitely be back.

Absolutely magical place! In the mountains, easy to get to. Loved Binki the greeting dog, so happy and friendly, she slept at our site all night. Ammenities are fantastic, super clean and modern. The host, Hamish was friendly and helpful. Overall, HIGHLY recommend

A warm and helpful welcome from the hosts. Quiet tent site with hill views appreciated. Grateful for access to the spacious kitchen and deck with fabulous view as no group using them that night. Clean modern shower block very pleasant. Great scenic walk behind the camp along the ridge, part of Heyson trail, and the rail line. Would return another trip, a good staging place out of Adelaide to the Flinders.

We had an amazing stay at Hamish’s Pichi Richi park. He is a lovely host who picked a fab site with a gorgeous view as we use a roof tent. But as we also had to pitch a small small tent for our son, and as it was a bit windy when we arrived, Hamish went out of his way to find us a spot that would be nicely secluded as well as having the view. This park has the best of both worlds; natural nature camping but with brand new clean bathrooms! We will be back for sure! ps: Blinky the dog is such a funny friendly character, welcoming us like we were long lost friends!

Hamish was a friendly and helpful host. The campsite we had was the most picturesque we've experienced in SA. There is a handy access track to Heysen Trail. We plan to return to explore the area more and watch a sunrise above the park over the ranges. Thank you!

I loved camping here for a couple of nights. Hamish the host was very warm and helpful and the family dog Binky was just too cute, accompanying me on a hike! Seriously good value and unbeatable scenery and solitude :)
