Nestled near the heart of the small village community of Lyrup and close to the Murray River, Padaley offers a peaceful, nature-rich retreat surrounded by tranquil gardens and the Lyrup Flats Forest. The property features an expansive lawned area with mature shade trees—perfect for relaxing, setting up outdoors, and enjoying the quiet surroundings with minimal traffic noise. There are four camping sites available, making it an ideal spot for families, small groups, or travellers seeking space and tranquillity. Pets are welcome, and campfires are permitted when a fire ban is not in place, adding to the relaxed outdoor experience. Toilet facilities are also available onsite for convenience. The grounds also include a basketball court and a large oval where kids can run and play, while the Lyrup Community Club is just a short stroll away. Conveniently located in the central Riverland and close to the Lyrup Flats—2,000 hectares of floodplain along the northern side of the river—Padaley provides easy access to wonderful opportunities for birdwatching, fishing, and exploring nature. The nearby Lock 4 and Eckert Creek waterway flows through the national park and is ideal for canoe adventures, while sightseeing and wildlife spotting are common in the surrounding landscape.
