Here you'll find 6 acres of undulating land, surrounded by gum trees. The campsite is in a lovely bush setting, in a valley, which is quiet and private. Campers must be self-contained, we don't have facilities here. Plenty of options for safe swimming and surfing beaches (10-20 minute drive) Visit the Alpacas (by arrangement) just across the road Jetty at Rapid Bay is the spot for fishing (20-minute drive) Hiking in Deep Creek Conservation Park is fantastic (15-minute drive) Find essentials at Yankalilla township, including a supermarket, craft shops, pub and medical centre (10-minute drive) Lovely scenic drives in the area and Victor Harbour, a larger regional town is only 25 minutes away.Pitch your tent in a bush setting. The ground is gently undulating and grassed, with some flat areas, you can choose any spot you like. The site is in a valley, which is quiet and private.  We accept just one booking at a time, so you have the whole place to yourselves. Campers must be self-contained.   There are hiking, swimming and fishing areas close by, and at camp, you may see kangaroos and occasionally wild deer. If you would like to meet and feed  the alpacas let me know. Lovely scenic drives in the area and Victor Harbour, a larger regional town is only 25 minutes away. Second Valley Beach is quite famous for its scenic charm and is a nice easy drive from your campsite. Ingalalla Falls are worth a visit in the second valley forest. Lots of interesting shops are also worth a visit in Normanville and Yankalilla 10 minutes from the campsite. Please note 4 wheel drive vehicles are recommended.

A little hidden gem.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this little gem of a spot, were blessed with some lovely weather, close proximity to Yankalilla and Deep Creek NP for exploring. Norm our host responds very quickly and is most helpful.

Kookaburra Rest Campsite
A lovely private spot for camping. Kids loved listening to the birds and chasing crickets. Nice and close to Ingallala Falls and Yankallila. On the days we stayed it was quite hot and the cleared area for the campsite wasn’t shaded from about 9am to 4pm. The rest of the paddock had quite high grass (bit worried with the kids and snakes) and so we were a bit limited to staying in the slashed area with no shade - wouldn’t be an issue in cooler weather or if the paddock has recently been slashed.

Lovely bird life. Even an echidna came through camp. Norm was great and we loved seeing the Alpacas. Great spot to explore the surrounding areas.

Central to the Fleurieu
Absolutely perfect place for us. Central to the Fleurieu to explore in every direction and isolated enough from the sardine can caravan parks to feel you've escaped the rat race - and we had it all to ourselves! An incredible amount of bird life and a few 'roos made it even better.
