The site is well signed, no issues finding it and prompt messaging. We were personally greeted at the office building and given a map of the property with suggested walks as well as a, ie local business flyers, ie, Fleurieu Gin. While Allen was away at time, his welcoming son personally checked in with us and made recommendations of some walks.
There are lots of improvements in the making such as a grass bowls and mini golf course. There is a shed with games and seating (kind of shack type furniture) that you are welcome to use. There is a collection sort of ramshackle outdoor seating.
Once you park, you can have access to water. We chose the corner site facing to the sea (you can see the sea but it’s mainly the land) and facing the red gum wood lot.
Made a fire (we brought our own wood) and went for walks around the gorgeous property. As you walk through the tracks you can have a beautiful view of the rolling hills and out to sea. (Lots of potential house sites I think!) There are the three resident Jerusalem donkeys you can hand feed as well as lots of birdlife and kangaroos and wallaby’s.
Even though it was first day of school holidays in SA, we were the only residents for the night, peaceful, lots of stars to see. It would be great for kids exploring the natural environment. We took our cat (on a leash) who was welcomed. Look forward to returning.

Heath was very friendly and helpful. We all had lots of fun with the lawn games, animals and walking tracks. Close to fleurieu towns and beaches. Will stay again.

Great family place to stay

We stayed here for 4 nights and we had a great time. Heath and Allan were great hosts. The kids had great fun feeding the donkeys and the horse and collecting eggs from the chicken house. There were lovely walks around the property and it was only a few minutes drive to Yankalilla and Normanville.

We had a lovely Easter staying at the Koala Coast Retreat Farm and Allan was extremely hospitable and friendly. We especially loved the resident Donkeys. Having the ability to book power and have water was a bonus and we were so close to explore Yankalilla and Normanville.

We had such a nice time staying here the hosts Alan & Heath where more than accommodating the views from our site where spectacular to say the least. The koala walk was so nice and we seen a koala so very happy. The amenities were spotless. We wish them the very best in the future development of this business.

We loved our stay. Felt very much like we were out in the bush surrounded by views and animals the kids loved it. Heath made an effort to take the kids to collect eggs and feed the horses. It was magical.
The only down side is as they are renovating there were lots of construction materials lying around.
But what a lovely spot and close to very good local attractions.

Perfect location to base yourself to explore the beaches and beautiful wineries/ breweries. Views from the property are stunning. We had pretty bad weather and still managed to enjoy walks around the property to see the wild life, hit up the local distillery and a drive down Myponga beach road which the owners suggested ( this has to be one of the most beautiful drives in all of SA and should not be missed!!) that surrounds this property. Stunning at sunset.
Still a work in progress for the guys here but the effort that Heath and family are putting in, Im sure this place will be fantastic!!

What a great spot! The kids had so much fun seeing the chickens, donkeys, horses and koalas. Allan and Heath were super friendly and amazing hosts. Still some work getting done around the place, but we were able to play some lawn bowels, the place will be fab once finished ☺️ Would definitely recommend

Great option to get away locally, but still able to take the dog with us and be close enough to home to get back for work quickly the next day. Great sunset and stars are epic also on a clear night. Great hosts all-round!

Allan was incredibly welcoming and accommodating. The property has several flat spots to choose from. An incredible view of the ocean, beautiful sunsets and stargazing. It’s quiet and simple but has all you could need for a relaxing getaway. The koala and kangaroo walks are a lovely way to spend some time and feeding the donkeys and horses was a bonus. Would recommend and definitely return. We were off power as we’re self contained but there are provisions for power, water and a dump point. A cute sand playground for the kids too.

Thanks so much Heath and Allan. We had a great time. Heath went above and beyond to make our stay amazing. We all didn’t want to leave but have many get memories. Great views from our caravan spot. We loved feeding the chickens, sheep, donkeys and horses. We saw a koala on our walk of the property. Great central hub for exploring the region. We can’t wait to visit again
