Glen Elden Farm is a delightful vineyard and haven for Australian wildlife located within the Barossa Valley, specifically within the Eden Valley region just outside of the historic town Springton. Glen Elden Farm is right on the door step of the 'Lavender Trail' and a number of world class Australian Wineries.Enjoy absolutely stunning 360 degree views of the Barossa and Eden Valleys from the hill top vineyard! Easy RV and caravan access although 4WD recommended if the weather is particularly wet.
Most of our campers that choose the hill top site are self contained with their own toilet. If you require use of a flushing toilet please message before booking and we will organize access to a toilet in one of our vintage out buildings.
Glen Eden has been a working vineyard for over 20 years producing some exceptional Barossa Shiraz. For a time until recently Glen Elden Farm was under foreign ownership which meant as no owners were living onsite the house and outbuildings weren't able to be maintained. As the new owners we are carefully restoring and tidying up the space in an attempt to restore her to her former glory. She's not perfect yet but we are working on it!
As a side note, the Glen Elden Farm vineyards are working vineyards so there will on occasion be staff working out in the vines particularly in late winter (pruning) and vintage (late summer), picking the grapes but the hill top is up above the vineyards so you will still have plenty of your own space to enjoy. Feel free to touch base when you book if you wish to avoid busy times.
Had such a nice overnight stay here amongst the vines! We caught a beautiful sunset and with only two sites (up the hill vs down the hill), it was special to stay somewhere more personal. Enjoyed meeting the horses too. Would stay again!
What a great camping spot.
We loved the peace & tranquility and the views were beautuful.
Only a short drive to the local shop which supplied fuel & ice along with other basics. There is also a pub and park.
We would recommend to others who are looking for a quiet spot to chill out & enjoy fresh country surroundings.
We all loved camping on this beautiful farmland site! It had an amazing view and was so quiet. Loved the fact we got to feed the horses and meet all the animals. Definitely worth a stay 😁
