Eckert’s Old Place
Lovely old world restored cottage in a very picturesque rural setting. My second visit and find it a great base for my hobby of Adventure Bike exploring a very scenic part of our State. Great vision by Chris & Philip in restoring the cottage.

Amazing place, really easily bring beautiful childhood memories and no phone reception gives endless calm in mind.
Kids love it, dinner at light just from fireplace and candles!!! They will remember that forever. Actually up to next time, as we know we will be back.

Eckert’s Old Place
Fantastic stay
Such a unique stay and our one of our favourite whilst travelling from the east coast to west. We cooked a delicious roast in the camp oven that was provided as well as a damper. Summer would have been better for us however as we had our 11 month old which meant we had to stoke the fire all night to keep it warm enough for him in the living area. Still I highly recommend this place to stay. The sunset and and landscape was stunning.

Eckert’s Old Place
Simple living at its best
We stayed for 2 nights. It was a great way to show my boys how people used to live way back when, when things were simple and there was no technology. The fact that we had no reception meant that we could truly disconnect and reconnect with nature and each other. We had a few modern comforts such as a flushing toilet and solar lights, but other than that it was simple. The boys spent all day running around outside making their own fun and using their imaginations. I would definitely return, even for a solo stay. Great little gem!

Eckert’s Old Place
Eckert’s has charm!
Eckert’s Old Place is such a gem and comes with so much history. 2 nights in front of the fire surrounded by farmland was exactly what I was hoping for. Chris and Philip were wonderful hosts too and thanks to Chris’ recommendation I was able to finish the trip off with a nice walk and spectacular views. Thanks guys, will definitely be back!
