You'll love the abundant bird-life and large sheltered sites at Currawong Corner, nestled on an impressive 86 acres in Angas Valley. Catch up with us on Facebook, Wikicamps and Google Maps. Camping sites from $15 a night if booked direct, or booked online via Hipcamp from $19 plus the Hipcamp booking fee. Some sites allow for 2 or more groups on the same site at an additional fee. Early check-in and late check-out are normally available to maximise your break. The pet friendly caravan, RV and tent bush camping sites are a hidden gem, offering a relaxing environment where you can commune with nature, enjoy a campfire (we have firewood for sale), pop into a Mannum pub for a meal and then gaze back billions of years at our brilliant stars. Whether you looking for a quiet overnight rest stop, a weekend getaway or a base to visit the Barossa, Adelaide Hills or lower Murray with Adelaide an easy 90 minute drive away. The bird-life is booming, the stars are doing their brilliant best, so now is a great time to stop by. The camp-ground is 2WD, large vehicle friendly and sites are sheltered and easily accessible, with several sites suitable for larger rigs. We can cater for larger groups by arrangement, with an affordable option to rent the whole camp.

The campground and facilities were neat and clean and the host was very welcoming. The only negative was the camp site was not far away from a busy road and because we were sleeping in a swag we could hear the trucks going past during the night.

It was a fantastic school holiday with my kids. Toilet is really clean, friendly care taker, fire wood supply for fire pit, Marshmallows, Star, Moon, nice wind, dark night and raining sound and rabbit. near located Toy Factory

We had a great time here! Perfect for a family trip. Toilet (long drop) is really well maintained. We were the only campers during the weekend, so that was perfect for us as. We will definitely be back

I booked on a last minute whim to see the lunar eclipse. Neil and Margaret were wonderfully accommodating, they ensured my site was accessible with a 2nd vehicle, and responded to communication very quickly. A lovely relaxing get away. Would return again.

Lovely views and super friendly host keen for a chat! Unfortunately the weather defeated us for the first time and our trip was cut short. Super keen to come back and appreciate the entire experience (including the little library!)

A nice clean, quiet spot to enjoy the weekend. Neil and Margaret were extremely accommodating, making sure we were happy throughout our stay. Definitely recommend, and the night sky is amazing!

The sites are so well maintained, I didn't realise there were drop toilets on site but they are honestly the classiest I have seen and very clean. Neil was so friendly and hospitable, we were faced with some challenging weather and he stood with us in pouring rain and wind to help get our camp set up - even lending ropes and putting in extra supports. The scenery was beautiful and peaceful, and although there were other groups around us we felt private and at home. Also just a short drive into Mannum for a day trip or any supplies is convenient. The price is way too low for the experience we had and we would happily return.

A very well-maintained spot — Neil was extremely accommodating and helpful. We were lucky to have extra space due to a few cancellations caused by bad weather. If the campground had been fully booked, the designated sites would have been quite close together. We all had a great weekend and recommend to anyone. Thankyou

An unexpected sanctuary

A lovely little patch of scrub to camp amongst, with a very helpful, relaxed, friendly host. We arrived on a horrible rainy day with awful blustery winds, to find Neil was out & about checking on his campers, and helping them out. The sites were very sandy, the water quickly drained, and we weren't condemned to stomping around in mud. Fortunately, the weather blew itself out that afternoon, and we had two wonderful nights relaxing in pleasant surrounds, chatting by the fire with our friends. We selected the late check-out option, and as other guests left, we began to notice an entertaining amount of birdlife. The white-winged choughs were a highlight for me, they reminded us of the apostlebirds we've enjoyed watching while camping further north - I've since learned they are of the same family, so our Currawong Corner trip was also educational! I expect we'll be back.

Good size site & very well kept long drops . Sites closer together than I thought (if booked out would be very “caravan park vibe” but still peaceful. Host very present & passionate about his sites & upkeep of his property.

Very well set up, we loved our stay in our rooftop tent. Probably the best setup drop toilets I’ve seen, clean and tidy. Fire pits were great and loved that they had a lid and a wire rack option for fire cooking. Will definitely be back!

Bush camp close to home!

First time camping in SA and Currawong's Corner did not disappoint! Definitely camping here again - only a stone's throw from Adelaide. Only met Neil while we were there and he's a fantastic chap! Made sure everything was fine. Facilities are clean and well-maintained. Would recommend camping on a new moon for the best night sky! Thanks Neil and extend our regards to Margaret. :)

Loved our 2 night stay. Neil and Margaret were very accommodating and checked in with us a couple of times to make sure our stay was a positive one. Our furbaby loved it as well! Thanks for having us. Would recommend this spot to others.

Don’t come here. The hosts are caring, the night sky is bit spectacular, there’s a fridge full of books, and you’ll get really well looked after. It’s the worst. Go camp somewhere else please. This patch of gold and I need some quiet. See you soon N & M.

my partner and i stayed here for a night it was such a good spot super easy to find, clean facilities and the owners were so lovely, came over for a chat when we first got there and before we left and told us a bunch of things we could do on our trip which was super helpful. couldn’t recommend it more we’ll definitely be back !

Camping at Currawong Corner was very easy. A well set up campground with extremely clean long drop toilets and running bore water for cooking/ washing up. Campsites are very close together, so if it is busy it could be quite noisy, but depending on where your campsite is within the group you may have no neighbours at all. Neil was a fantastic host, ensuring that guests have everything they need and kept the camp area very clean. There is also a great little library there with books for all ages and some DVDs for the kids. There is the option to purchase firewood, spring water casks and gas bottle exchange incase you run out.

We really enjoyed this Hipcamp! We stayed here on our way to the Yorke peninsula. We booked campsite 2 which had plenty of space for our set up (5m caravan plus annex) and was right next to the amenities. There was drop toilets which were very well looked after and clean. They had a little “library” which had books & DVDs which was a lovely touch. Each site had a fire place & there were plenty of different size sites to suit bigger or small set ups. It’s also dog friendly as long as they are on a lead which was a huge plus for us. Maragret & Neil were lovely and very helpful! Really nice and peaceful for a couple of nights stay.

Venue was perfect. Quiet, peaceful, simple facilities including long drop toilets and fire pits complete with cooking grates. Amazing views for stargazers too. Would 100% recommend, and will be back! Neil even popped by to say hi and welcome us! Very friendly!

I wanted another quiet break not too far from home so headed back to Currawong Corner again as it's close and suits having my little dog. I had the place to myself for a week, with Neil occasionally checking whether I needed anything. The stars were magnificent!
