Bluegums Farm, Here we have a range of animals ,Supervised interaction with clydesdale horses, camels, sheep, cows available. At certain times of the year the Clydesdales will be in harness putting on a draught display. no cash can be accepted for extras or late bookings. Campers are set up in a large open area, with both grassy and sandy options, suitable for tents and caravans/campers, with some areas more off-road and private than others. Upon arrival, you are welcome to choose your spot. As well as plenty to do on and around the property, there is a great bike track from the farm into Bordertown town, and we are also just walking distance from the town pool. We have no facilities here so you need to be self-sufficient with your own toilet. We do however provide firewood for the campfire. Nice and quiet spot to stay overnight and looking out our bus windows to camels in the paddocks was a unique experience.

Lovely quiet spot just a moment outside the main town of Bordertown. Highly recommend if you want to stay in the area for the night for a safe quiet spot. Look for the reflective bits hanging off the tree as the number isn’t on the ground - the google location from the app leads you right there.

Great little spot! Linda has sectioned off this epic piece of her property so you’re sort of like in the middle of a couple of larger paddocks that have camels & horses. The space you’re in is beautiful, with some hills, trees and a dam. Nice spot for a sunset that’s for sure!

Charming, secluded spot just out of town. Linda was a wonderful host helping us with firewood and bringing the camels across to feed. Highly recommend

Good spot for a one night stop if you are travelling to Melbourne/Adelaide, close to highway so you don’t need to go far out of your way. That means highway noise, but we were tired so it didn’t matter. Good directions and a proactive host.

Lots of space to park a larger van. Linda was very helpful and welcoming. Lots of animal activities to do as well for adults and children.

Beautiful overnight stay on our way to Mount Gambier. Linda was a very welcoming host. Our kids enjoyed feeding the Camels and the Horse Riding.

Lovely spot! Linda was a great host. She showed us around the farm and greeted us on arrival. My 3 year old did the camel feeding and horse riding as extras and absolutely loved it. Would definitely stay here again.

Nice clean and flat site. Close enough to town but far enough to feel secluded. Great to see the camels and horses around really feels like you’re in the wide and amazing night sky with little light pollution.

Quiet, private and great for kids!

We loved Linda's Hipcamp! Complete privacy - whole place to ourselves. It was a quiet, off-grid place to stop on the way over the border. What we hadn't expected was activities! Linda went above and beyond!! Feeding the camels with the kids in the afternoon and little horse rides around the campsite the next morning. 100% recommend!! Thanks for having us

We had a lovely stay at Bluegums Farm. We visited with the camels and Clydesdales - highly recommend the camel feeding activity! Linda is a friendly and hospitable host. The property is a peaceful immersive farm experience.

Our stay with Linda was the perfect half way stop between Melbourne and Adelaide. Linda guided us to our spot on her property making sure our caravan could fit and we were comfortable with driving in certain areas. We were able to choose our spot to set up and got to feed the camels later that afternoon. Linda’s property is only 2.5 kms outside of town so we could go for a drive or walk (there’s a great walking/biking trail that takes you right into town). Linda was super friendly and helpful.

Tranquil off-grid farm stay

We loved staying in our caravan on Linda's 100 acre dog-friendly property outside Bordertown. Communication was excellent and the farm is so quiet and peaceful, and we even had a sunset visit from the friendly camels. It felt like we were so remote but actually we were only a few minutes from town. 💫 10/10 Highlight recommend! We'll definitely be back.

Our farm stay experience at Bluegums farm was absolutely delightful! From the warm welcome by Linda to the exciting encounters with camels, horses, chickens, cows, and sheep, every moment was filled with joy. Our kids had a fantastic time feeding the animals and enjoying a short horse ride. Despite it being just a day trip, the memories made were priceless. Many thanks to Linda for the wonderful hospitality and the opportunity to create cherished memories. We can't wait to visit again!

Fantastic stop over, what a delight! Camping next to the camels plus bonus extras for the kids. According to my eldest it was “the best place ever”. Loved the space, camping under the stars, fire pit and brilliant hospitality. Thank you

Lovely little stop over on our trip. Linda greeted us at the gate and had set up the campfire area for us. She even had horses and camels which were right next door gave the kids a ride on the horse the following morn which they loved as well as seeing the camels out the caravan window first thing in the morn!
