Located just 3 km west of Imbil township, and 10 km from Borumba Dam, Yabba Creek Farm is nestled along the tranquil Yabba Creek, with majestic Mount Grainger and forested ridge-lines as your ever-changing backdrop. It’s one of three Hipcamps along this stretch of the creek… just after Yabba Ridge and before Maluka Park 2025 Best Hipcamp WINNER!! ***IMPORTANT. STRICTLY NO PARTIES** general socialisation noise ok, but no loud music or excessive noise. Curfew 9pm all noise. Tucked away beyond the main creek sites, this “Hidden Gem” is one of the most unique and soul-soothing campsites you’ll ever discover. Set right near the water’s edge, it boasts breathtaking views of Mount Grainger’s rugged cliff faces and forested peaks. Keep an eye out for our resident and frequently sighted platypus, lungfish, and turtles. They are often spotted right from the site. With private access to the most picturesque stretch of creek for swimming beside the huge fallen boulders, this is a must-stay location for those craving, connection, and a deeper breath of nature. - Campfires welcome in the provided fire pit. Firewood available for purchase off the farm. - No caravans, but small off-road camper trailers are okay (requires confident maneuvering around trees) - 4WD preferred, though 2WD can be accommodated with care - Designed for privacy and serenity. Your own pocket of paradise (please note, there are other sites close to this site, and other guests do paddle past and swim to the rocks especially during weekends and school holiday). Other info.. - Approx 200m to toilets and tap water. - Limited sunlight during winter. Part sun during summer. STRICTLY NO PARTIES!!! No loud music or excessive noice. Situated “a Stones Throw” away from the creek. This particular site has more sunlight than the popular adjacent site “hidden gem” but still has some shaded areas. Campers booked into Hidden Gem do need to drive past this site. Not suitable for caravans. Off road camper trailers are acceptable. 4wd preferred but can accomodate 2wd. STRICTLY NO PARTIES!!! No loud music or excessive noice. Zero tolerance on all noise after 9pm. Other IMPORTANT INFO 👇 We are within a few kilometres of a rifle shooting range. You can sometimes hear distant echos from the mountains of gun shots on occasional weekends during the day time. Grey Gums is a spacious site and a great site for families with children. Close to the swing and animal petting. It is the first site located on the upper bank. Part shade and sun. It’s close to toilet and also water hook up within site. Bush shower cold water only. Option to BYO hot tap and connect Frequent visits from chickens and turkey you are welcome to feed at any time in your camp.. please be mindful of booking with dogs as it’s a busy camp with animals “Grey Gums” is a short walk to the creek where you’ll have free use of the Yabba Creek Farm kayaks. What a magic spot "Hidden gem"was. Great creek views , Shaddy and cool in the heat of the day, down a little path have a dip in the creek to cool down. Private and quiet camp site would highly recommend camping here. Also what a legend Dean was , I forgot some pots and pans, Dean was able to give us a hand so we were able to cook our dinners. Thank you Dean

We stayed in Hidden Gem for 2 nights and can’t wait to go back! This is a piece of paradise - green, spacious, quiet and peaceful. You have private entry to the Yabba Creek which is beautiful to swim and kayak in. There is a tap and hose for town water on site and the toilets are less than a 5-minute walk away. The host, Dean, was super friendly and helpful with tips and information about the area. The entire property is beautifully maintained. Our dog was welcome and loved it as much as we did.

Loved camping at the ‘Stones throw’ site at Yabba creek! It had great access to the water for swimming and the creek was a lovely peaceful place to go out kayaking (kayaks provided). The whole property was beautiful and we loved how private our site was from the rest of the farm. Lovely place for the dog to run around and Kaylea and dean were very friendly and checked in on us after storms, they also made sure to let us know about all the walking paths and facilities around which was very helpful. No bins or showers but the site had a hose and the town just five mins up the road had plenty of skip bins available.

I absolutely loved my stay at Yabba Creek farm! I was at the Stone's throw site - very close easy access to the creek and we'll spaced out from other sites. So great that they provide a firepit and kayaks to use - it's a stunning place to paddle! Kaylea and Dean could not have been more helpful and welcoming - a really lovely couple who have done a fantastic job creating a beautiful place for camping. I hope to come back again!!

We loved camping at Yabba Creek Farm. Kaylea and Dean were great hosts and kept the farm was very well maintained. It was peaceful, plenty of space. Grab a kayak so you can see a platypus like we did. The wife loved the petting zoo, especially the turkey. Our doggie also had the best time. Highly recommended Yabba Creek Farm to anyone and we’ll definitely be returning. Thanks for a great stay.

We had a great stay and Kaylea and Dean made everything so easy for us. Great communication and so helpful. The kayaks were awesome and we spent hours in the water. Having soap and water outside the portaloos! Brilliant.

I camped at Silky Oaks, the first night no other campers were there and it was absolute bliss. Yabba Creek Farm is a lovely place that Dean and Kaylea have added heaps of gems to instead of it being just a simple campsite.

Was great camping experience 2 nights the host went over and beyond getting things ready the place was amazing great view just relaxing and enjoying the nature. Lovely place to swim in the river . Get to experience farm animals petting them the host was just so lovely good people, can’t wait to book our next trip . The best thing bout the camp site is only few minutes in to town if you’re running low on supplies how good is that.

Loved my 2 days solo camping at Yabba Creek Farm. First night I was only camper but even as super cell approached I was not worried. Missed by a whisker. First morning paddle was 6am and saw one juvenille platypus. Next morning was 5am and they were everywhere. Saw at least 6 but still elusive. They are living in a "dark forest". Survival depends on them being undetected. So much wildlife, wallabies, birds, turtles, dragonflies, butterflies, snake, spiders. Fully connected into nature.

Such a beautiful spot owned by a lovely family. So welcoming and friendly. We stayed on the silky oaks site, which was grassy, spacious with plenty of shade looking at a beautiful mountain and horses. and a grt fire pit. Just a short walk down to Yabba Creek.Town water hookup on each site and free kayaks. We will be back!

We camped at the 'hidden gem' site, which was well maintained, shady, spacious and right beside the water! Kaylea met us on arrival and was super friendly and helpful! Kayaks for use (free) was an added bonus, we had lots of fun kayaking all the way to Imbil. Lots of wildlife, you just have to sit back, relax and watch. Would definately return and recommend.

We have a wonderful stay at stones throw! Our campsite had a fantastic view and very near the creek with lots of room. Was lovely waking up to the sound of nature in the morning. The creek was very clean and having kayaks available was amazing which made our stay! Was lovely coming back in the afternoon and going for a kayak and a swim and read our book in the creek! Would definitely recommend staying.

We had the best stay at the Silky Oaks site, the view was amazing and it was so cosy setting up our tent amongst the trees. It has been our favourite camping destination yet! The hosts were so friendly and accommodating, their daughter even brought down her pet chickens and guinea pigs for our two boys to pat….she was also very good at making our boys laugh 😆 We even got to got down to the lake and use the canoes and life jackets. We will definitely be back again. Thanks for having us on your beautiful property.

It's a beautiful property and so peaceful and quiet. It's the perfect place to unwind and chill out. The sites have been very thoughtfully planned and designed to maximise guests' privacy. We will happily recommend it to our friends and will definitely return. I think it will become a regular "go-to-chill" place for us.

We camped with a 5m camper trailer for 3 nights at Jack's Shack, which provided the best view (in our opinion) of the outlook towards the mountain while sitting at the great timber bar that Dean has built. Even though we had perfect weather the rustic shelter which we loved provided us with privacy and is such a great hangout. The property owners Kaylea and Dean are wonderful hosts, so friendly and so keen to get positive feedback.

Fantastic camp! The grounds were so clean and well maintained. The hosts were friendly and very accommodating. We stayed at Mountain view it was a great site with shelter. And a fantastic animal petting session held for the kids to enjoy. We made good use of the kayaks in the Creek too.

We really enjoyed our time on the Grey Gums site. It was very peaceful, has a fantastic fire pit, lovely views and aspect with dappled shade from the western sun. The resident chooks and turkey were friendly and entertaining. The property is a credit to Kaylea and Dean’s hard work and vision.

We camped at the mountain view site. It was so peaceful and private overlooking the mountain with nobody anywhere near us! There was a hut that they are in progress of building up. It'll be amazing when their vision is finished! The pony rides and animal petting was so kid friendly ! And the river and the free kayaks were a great way to spend an afternoon with the kids ! We will be back!
