Situated on just over 5 acres with a year-round full dam. We have sheep, chickens, guinea fowl, geese and a rescue horse, we welcome children and may have chicks to show them. Chickens geese and guinea fowl make noise of course! As do the cockatoos and kookaburras. Our farm is a 40-minute drive to Port Douglas or 30 minutes to heritage-listed Mossman Gorge. The local area is a bird watchers' paradise with many species on our property. We also have wallabies in residence. We're on the doorstep of Mt Lewis, which is one of the highest mountains in QLD. Loads of local wildlife trails to explore right on our doorstep, plus waterfalls, swimming holes, and everything the Tablelands offer. It's usually a lot cooler up here than down on the coast, so camping should be more comfortable. We grow a lot of food (lots of tropical fruit) and should have some farm-fresh pastured eggs available too.Two areas, one with power, offering privacy both located right next to our large dam. Abundant wildlife where you may encounter Pademelon and Platypus if you look closely. You can have seclusion and privacy or you can join in our farm activities. Partake in picking some of the abundance of fruit and free-range eggs we have on offer. Fresh produce for sale. If adventure is more your thing then the local area has countless opportunities to explore. The trailhead for Mowbray falls and The Bump Track are only a 10 minute drive away. We have a bit of a petting zoo on site, with chickens, silkies, guinea fowl, geese, and a horse, don't expect silence! We do have a hot tub, BBQ, and washing machine on-site, if you need either, we can talk. Camp fires allowed if sensible. Neatest dump point is Rifle Creek, about 10km away just outside Mt Molloy.

Free roaming chickens
Alyson & James were very welcoming hosts. We were camped near the animals and the kids loved the free roaming chickens, and even collected a few eggs for breakfast.

A farm stay to remember
What a wonderful stay at Alyson, James and their boys place! They were excellent hosts who gladly showed our boys around the farm every day of our stay. Meeting Cobber the horse, chickens, geese, lambs and even a pet python is one of the highlights of our trip. Be sure to stay a few nights to really enjoy the place!
