Where The Rainforest Meets The Sea
Truly wonderful place
A beautiful place to stay and a fabulous host. The beach is a tranquil place to relax and get away from it all, gazing along the beach and out to Fitzroy Island. Bernadette and her family were very welcoming and hospitable, we had some great chats, shared some traditional food and had a glimpse into the life and culture of a lovely first nations family and community.

Amazing place and Bernadette is a great host. The path is where the yellow ribbon is on the tree. This is a unique step into a world that a lot people would not be privy too 😊🙏 enjoy 😉 yarning with Dampier around the fire and escape the hustle and bustle of town life.

Where The Rainforest Meets The Sea
Unfortunately the camping spot was not quiet as we were led to believe on the Hipcamp description. Bernadette is lovely and her house position on the coast is awesome. The camping spot, however, was in her small backyard under the clothesline. Not quite the privacy or serenity we expected so we chose not to stay. There certainly is not room for 4 camping spots for 6 people each.

Where The Rainforest Meets The Sea
Spectacular and unique
As soon as we arrived we felt welcomed and like we had arrived somewhere special. The landscape was breathtaking and we had the beach more or less to ourselves. We sat around the fire at night and Bernadette cooked us turtle stew and damper and we had a yarn and a sing and she told our kids some of the local stories. Don’t expect your usual campsite but if you’re keen to experience first hand what it’s like to live in a beautiful First Nations community, and maybe learn a thing or two about the local culture and history, this place is for you. We can’t wait to get back there!

Where The Rainforest Meets The Sea
Loved it!
Beautiful! Bernadette and her daughter Kelly were loverly hosts and provided a guided orientation to their backyard....the beach.
We were the only guest this weekend.....I not sure how the camp sites would work out for the 3 advertised sites. Only downer was the generator was left running (Im sure unintentional) till it ran out of fuel and 1am...it wasn't far from our site. Apart from that, highly recommended for a dry season beach camp.

Amazing. Beautiful. Greatest host y
What a absolutely amazing place and Bernadette is the best host you could ever ask for
You are right by the seaside with your own beach and piece of paradise. No noise crystal clear skies places to fish 🎣 the scenery is amazing
We personally enjoyed our 4 days there so much we didn’t want to leave and most certainly will be coming back for many more visits I
If there is a star rating on hipcamp we would personally give it a 5 star.
