Myself and my partner stayed 2 nights for a weekend getaway and were beyond happy with the stay. Mike and his family were extremely welcoming and there were more secluded spots available for privacy. It was a quick drive into town and the area was quiet and peaceful with plenty of lovely wide-life. The toilets and showers were a massive bonus and clean and tidy at all times. Although we didn’t use them the hot plates, microwave and kettle could be very helpful. We will definitely be back Thankyou Mike, Michi and family 😁

Beautiful green camp. Clean amenities. A lovely boardwalk through the bush to enjoy. The family were so welcoming. Will recommend to all family and friends travelling through the area.

Travellers Rest 1770 - unpowered
We had a fabulous 5 nights at Travellers Rest 1770. Quiet, relaxing and plenty of room between camping spots. Amenities were very clean. Close to Agnus Waters to enjoy all the activities available. Definitely on our list of return Hipcamps.

We chose this site due to the positive 5 star ratings on various camping sites. We definitely weren't disappointed!! It was an awesome campground. Michaela and Mike and their three children were most welcoming. We thoroughly enjoyed Marks evening talk about the local area and the creation of their little piece of paradise. We are so glad we stayed here because it was only 5 minutes from town and the caravan parks in town had people packed in like sardines! We will definitely be recommending 1770 Travellers Rest Eco Campground to our family and friends. Thank you Mike and Michaela 😊

A beautiful spot that is a short drive from Agnes Water and 1770. The facilities are excellent- hot showers, camp kitchen. There are lovely walks around the property and plenty of flat spaces for a tent. Road noise is the only thing that is a bit of an issue. Earplugs! 😁

Fantastic eco-camp filled with birds of all species and some resident kangaroos. I had the most beautiful camp spot next to an amazing tree. Will return soon. The owners were delightful and so helpful. Really felt at home there and very safe.

We had a very relaxing and peaceful stay. Michaela was very welcoming and the facilities were well laid out and well cared for. The grounds were beautiful - a truly stunning setting. My only minor downside was the traffic on the road was fairly busy and the noise, while not overwhelming, was constant.

Great overnight stay 👌 Onky downfall was no Telestra reception in 90% of camp spots - hence stayed in road side with sporadic cinnection - normally I wouldn't mind, but I needed to plan travels on road (hence road noise was at its loudest), next days.
Consider signage or change coverages status on hipcamp as it states place has telstra coverage.
Pleasant place, guest respectful, nice friendly family camp vibe. I enjoyed my stay.
The office Bell was a little inconspicuous and I interpreted only to ring it if need first aid haha 😄
Appreciated your recycling system. Thanks for having me stay. 🙏

We loved our stay here! Beautiful, peaceful setting with very friendly hosts. Our kids loved playing with the other children and we felt it was a safe place for them to explore. We really loved the boardwalk through the bush too!
Has all the comforts of home with a great amenities block and brand new camp kitchen.

Clear directions and very pleasant, helpful host. Beautiful site, freedom and space to chose secluded camping sites. Good showering and dish washing facilities. Not to far from Agnes waters and on border of national park.

We stayed with our 4 year old daughter for 3 nights on a nice Grassy spot near the dam. We found the park owners very nice and they explained everything on arrival , toilets and showers wear very clean and tidy as where the camp kitchen and the other facility’s . The board walk was excellent we walked it day and night with our daughter she just loved it. The night time stories were fun to recommend that you attend. The road gets a little noisy in the mornings but we will be back.

I loved the unpowered sites among the trees in the back. A lot more privacy and still close enough to the showers. And you can charge all your gadgets there too!

This is a beautiful little spot with a real connection to and appreciation for nature. The amenities were spotless, and the little nooks to camp in were grassy and designed perfectly to tuck away in. Mike’s moonlit tale on shipwrecks was super interesting and a highlight element of my stay. I felt extremely safe and at home as a solo young women, and there was just enough reception to make a phone call :)

Great spot just outside of the busyness of 1770, lovely gentle nature walk, spotlessly clean bathrooms, great evening talk from Mike - ours was on shipwrecks and it was really interesting.

Lovely location. Clean and tidy. Very peaceful. Until the Mowing the next day that was very close to our site on a ride on mower which wasn't peaceful. Found it very concerning when the owners children were running around the mower as sticks and stones are being thrown out. Accident just waiting to happen.

Very clean facilities with lovely hot showers. Not to crowded as lots of area to park even on the unpowered sites. Lovely bush walk on board walk aswell. Also kitchen area with 2 great BBQ to use. Love the recycled wood used for tables and chairs. A lovely family look after the park

Highly recommend.
We only stayed the one night, but the place was beautiful.
There are other campers and campsite nearby, but it wasn't too loud.
The hosts are very friendly and flexible.
Amenities were very clean and hot showers were available.
