The kite campsite
Do not go to The Kite campsite
The first ever time I used Hip camp the place I booked I was not given an address just some coordinates, there were no hipcamp signs or anything to distinguish this as the place I booked. The place turned out to look more like a scrap yard with cars on bricks than a peaceful place to stay. The listing included the words 'Peaceful place where you could take a breath from the city' It was right on the main road. I've had quieter breaks in a lay-by. The host was rude, uninterested and as a woman traveling on my own, I did not feel safe, so I left. I noted after he has two listings under different names for the same property and a little googling showed me this property was the scene of a grizzly murder in 2018. Not a place I would EVER recommend to anyone

The kite campsite
Very overpriced. Toilets and showers were junky attached to the side if the house. For this price there should be a lot better amenities. Priced should be halved if conditions remain the same.
