We had an amazing and relaxing one night getaway at this spot. Paul was a super friendly and accommodating host who made our stay comfortable and hassle free. The dog loved exploring the property with us and swimming in the creek. We enjoyed watching the native wildlife and even had a close encounter with a Tawny Frogmouth who visited our campsite in the evening! Also a great spot for families with kayaks and games available for use. Couldn’t have had a better experience and would highly recommend.

I extended my stay because the sun came out & my dogs (including a scared new rescue) loved hanging out with Paul. As a Solo traveler with dogs, it's nice to find a place we all feel safe & unstartled ✨
Lots of birds & things to see, the water was beautifully clear!! Paul is always thinking about ways to enhance enjoyment 🏕️

It was a wonderful little spot where my kids and dog had the best time running around and searching for bugs and other animals. The sound of running water was lovely to wake up to.
Paul was an exceptional host; he would stop by occasionally to check on us and see if we needed anything. He also took time out of his day to show my kids where to find all the hidden animals.
I would definitely recommend this spot!

Paul the Super Host & his lush, prickle-free grass encourage a barefoot experience along a perfect riverbend that allows fun for all ages, swimming abilities & fur babies!
After kindly meeting me by the road, Paul led me down to the site where my 3 dogs were WARMLY welcomed to vacate the car to greet & explore freely. He enjoys seeing the site being enjoyed & it is easy to do so!! Ample well kept space to utilize + bins, water, power & other provisions offered to aid camp comfort.
I stayed through the week travelling with a new rescue & Paul was kind enough to block out the other site so we could have a stress free experience with the place to ourselves 🐶...Super Host.
Full phone service meant I could also get my online work done, although it doesn't feel like work here ✨

A hidden gem - This property was beautiful! Well looked after, private, peaceful, plenty for the kids to do (the kayaks were an added bonus). We absolutely loved it! Paul was more than accommodating and we loved having a chat! Cant wait to come back!

Paul’s property is absolutely beautiful—full of wildlife, a stunning creek, a peaceful walking track, and beautifully planted trees. Paul is a fantastic host; he came by to introduce himself and kindly offered help if needed. He was also very responsive to messages, which made the stay even more enjoyable.

We booked both sites at Paul’s beautiful Riverside property. It really is a slice of heaven. Almost like a Disney film! The creek is crystal clear and gently meandering, the she oaks border it beautifully. You can easily cross the creek and there is a pleasant walk in the other side. We saw the rikali swimming and hunting our second night and the neighbouring sheep had a peek through the fence ☺️
It was an incredibly easy site with dogs. Paul is lovely to communicate with and puts real effort into providing flat, green grassed sites right beside the picturesque waterway. Recommend highly and we are keen to travel that way again to stop there.

We absolutely loved this spot at She-Oak Hideaway! We had 3 families camping there over Easter, the spot was very well kept, spacious and right on the creek. Paul was an excellent host, providing bins for both rubbish and cans/bottles, as well as water to top up supplies. He had 3 kayaks down the creek that the kids paddled around on all day. We will definetly be back again!

Absolutely beautiful location with a fantastic swimming hole! I definitely recommend staying a few nights at She-Oak Hideaway. The kids loved it, and so did we! Paul is a lovely host who takes the time to ensure his guests are comfortable, whilst also offering information on the land and the local wildlife.

A group of my friends stayed at Paul’s gorgeous site and had an amazing time !! Paul was a lovely host, providing as much help and information as possible to make our stay memorable. The site itself was gorgeous with incredible views and amazing sunsets. Highly recommended !!

Nice sheltered location by the creek. Host was very welcoming and friendly. Kids enjoyed the kayaks in the shallow water. Private location away from the masses.

Such a lovely spot to camp with our family and friends. Paul is a fantastic host offering some lovely fresh items from his property, he is so welcoming and friendly. Paul has prioritised quality over quantity only having two camp sites on his property which could cater for more if he were to cram people in, but we very much appreciated the space and openness for our dogs, one of the many reasons we will return.

This is a delightful campsite. Two seperate camping, flat areas - slightly in view of each other but in no way intrusive. Would describe as rustic, however, there is water and rubbish etc collected. Grassy sites well kept. Creek gurgled away and the teen grandchildren loved, as did the adults.
We were a group with two caravans - so it was downhill to access sites. This gave some anxiety about how we got out!! Of course, there were no problems....
Paul was a delightful host, easy to communicate with and on site to help if required.
Access to the property is off the Cunningham H'way - Paul explains this in his intro - we missed the turn but just circled back through Maryvale and had a second cut at it. Again, no problems even with the vans.
Minor road noise at night however traffic lights on the CH about 10k away 'backed up' the traffic so traffic came through in groups rather than being spread out.
Will certainly return.

Easily accessible ! Private area , lovely owner , flowing stream. Perfect for a stop over or quick weekend getaway ! Lots of bird life and space for the dogs to run around.

Lots of flat ground, great swimming and no dodging cow poo !

Beautiful spot. Walked around barefoot on the lovely soft grass (no prickles). Kayaked with my dog and played fetch in open grass. Sat and watched the dragonflies, water lizards and birds around the running creek. Felt teary having to return to the city ☺️ will definitely be back.

Thanks Paul, Had a lovely peaceful couple of days at your property, was shady, we were the only ones there and the fresh running creek was great to dip in and cool off. Would highly recommend if you are chasing a quiet relaxing spot.

Paul was extremely friendly and a great host. We camped with 3 dogs and it was very accommodating. We had other people camping at the same time but there is a decent distance between the sites and still felt very private the way we set up. Definately recommend.

Paul was an absolute gem offering us fly spray, fire oil (as it had rained and our wood was wet) & even bought a bin over for us!

We loved camping here. Paul couldn’t have been more friendly and accommodating. Lovely morning and afternoon shade. Great swimming hole with easy access from the campsite. Close to local pub. Lovely spot, will definitely camp here again.
