Great place to camp for a few nights, beside the creek. A few too many flies on the days we were there . There was a misunderstanding about firewood supplied. Paul was very helpful when we needed him

The grass was beautiful and green but unfortunately the creek was very low. I imagine it would be beautiful for swimming and a paddle in the kayak. Paul provides an adult kayak and two smaller ones. The two sites are close together. If its privacy you are looking for this camp is probably not for you. The owner frequented the site a couple of times a day whereas in past hipcamps we have communicated with the host but never saw them. The owner lives at the top of the hill with clear views of the sites. The road noise can be quite loud when the trucks are going down the highway. In saying that ....he was very helpful when my friends lost power....we certainly did appreciate it.
Bear in mind the wood is $20 a barrow load as there is no price mentioned on the listing..

Was not much shade and not much flat ground. And there where bindis in the grass everywhere. There where also other campers who had dogs barking till late. Then started at 4am.

It was such a lovely experience. Paul was absolutely lovely and so accommodating of us. The place itself is beyond beautiful, we laid down for hours and watched shooting stars which was an incredible experience. The dogs loved swimming in the creek. Only downside was the closeness of both campsites but it is nothing that can be helped and was easily avoided with a car inbetween for privacy. Would love to come back and would always recommend to friends in the future. Affordable and beautiful

A lovely spot down by the creek. We booked both sites for privacy. Paul is a lovely and helpful host. You can hear the road noise (not super loud) and activity from neighbours sometimes, and you do see the host around occasionally so it's not total seclusion, but regardless it was a great spot to unwind. There is a lot of wildlife, especially birds and the dogs loved being off-leash and exploring the creek.

This was our second stay and we would happily visit again. We had 3 nights this time and it was lovely to really soak up an exceptionally pretty spot. Paul is very gentle in manner and really leaves you to your relaxation but definitely responsive to any requests. The care and pride he takes in maintaining this special spot is evident!
While the highway noise is sometimes audible, we are both light sleepers and found it not at all obtrusive. Highly recommend 👍

This is a nice, peaceful property with well kept, grassy camp areas and close access to the creek. There are two sites, which we feel are probably a bit too close together if the other guests were noisy - we were alone so no problems for our stay. Paul is a great host who made sure we had everything we needed and was very responsive when we sent a request message - good communication. The driveway out is steep and narrow. Heavy vans should use caution if the weather is wet. There is also some road noise which may not suit all - we weren't too bothered by it.

This is a beautiful place to spend the weekend. We have two young children and a dog, so we always a little concerned about the space aspect. That was not a problem at all. Even though there is plenty of places to camp, Paul makes a point not to over book and keeps his numbers at a minimum. The host Paul was lovely, had cute games for the kids, Power for the caravan and there was even direct creek access a couple of feed away from your camp.
We love exploring, so we walk down the creek side, over the hill and kept walking to the town pub of Maryvale.
The best part was how genuine Paul was. He has a genuine care for his Hipcamp guests, which is lovely. This place would be even more magical in the warmer months. It was about 8 degrees. We will definitely be back, it would be great to book for your family or a small group.

Beautiful littles spot after a picturesque drive along the Cunningham highway. Paul met us on arrival and hooked us up with power. We had a very generous load of wood 🪵 and some honey from him too. We will definitely go back, there are two sites a very decent distance apart! A relaxing overnighter for us.

Loved it, great spot and very easy to get too. Had a dog with us roaming ifg leash and he loved it. Grass and land well kept and no bindies or anything prickly. Paul was greag with supplying firewood and some very tasty honey.
Went for a walk through the creek to the Maryvale pub, good spot for a beer.
Will be back, thanks again Paul.

Such a great getaway spot for the weekend! Roomy, view is great and Paul- the owner is such a wonderful host. His honey is very high quality for such a great price. The little creek was so clean and clear. Perfect for kayaking through and relax. My cats absolutely love it too!

We loved camping here, even with the wet weather it was so beautiful! Paul was lovely he brought us firewood and made us feel welcome!
Good space between both campsites, there was a bin available there and a tap which came in handy!
Definitely recommend this spot, was pretty easy to find

Paul was a friendly and welcoming host. Such a beautiful property with beautiful places around to walk too. Loads to do for the kids, Paul brought them kayaks and lifejackets so they could go in the creek. No light pollution, a fantastic place to look at the stars ✨ will 100% be back.

Paul was a wonderful host- responsive, proactive and friendly. The spot was stunning by the creek, and really came to life at night under the blanket of stars! Great being walking distance to the pub and a bonus to have access to Paul's kayak. A tip- get the honey, it's amazing! Can't wait to come back, we'll be booking again soon. Thanks Paul.

No prickles allowed for bare feet walking !! Paul has a great camping area over looking a beautiful creek which he puts a lot of time into keeping it in great condition we had the pleasure of having Paul stay for two dinners and great conversations about his time on the land (his bread is heaven) lots of wildlife make this a great camp site with plenty to do even supplied kayaks for a paddle up the creek thanks Paul we had a great time at your farm

We loved our stay at Paul’s little hideaway! We had a great time exploring around the area, kayaking on the water and Paul’s tour of his bees 🐝 we would definitely recommend this place to stay! Paul is an amazing host with a lovely property to camp on right beside the creek. From the minute we arrived he made us feel very welcome and accommodated. A very relaxing property and such a bonus that it was dog friendly. Paul was great to have a chat with and his home grown honey is delicious. Extremely reasonable pricing and the hospitality he shows is second to none. Thanks so much for everything, will be seeing you again soon for sure!

The site was lovely. Very open and lots of access to stream and water activities. Very close to hwy and the road noise was a bit much at times. Host was very kind but it became extremely disruptive with the number of times he came to the site. Became clear we were being watched during our stay which had us very uncomfortable and on edge.

We had an amazing and relaxing one night getaway at this spot. Paul was a super friendly and accommodating host who made our stay comfortable and hassle free. The dog loved exploring the property with us and swimming in the creek. We enjoyed watching the native wildlife and even had a close encounter with a Tawny Frogmouth who visited our campsite in the evening! Also a great spot for families with kayaks and games available for use. Couldn’t have had a better experience and would highly recommend.

I extended my stay because the sun came out & my dogs (including a scared new rescue) loved hanging out with Paul. As a Solo traveler with dogs, it's nice to find a place we all feel safe & unstartled ✨
Lots of birds & things to see, the water was beautifully clear!! Paul is always thinking about ways to enhance enjoyment 🏕️

It was a wonderful little spot where my kids and dog had the best time running around and searching for bugs and other animals. The sound of running water was lovely to wake up to.
Paul was an exceptional host; he would stop by occasionally to check on us and see if we needed anything. He also took time out of his day to show my kids where to find all the hidden animals.
I would definitely recommend this spot!

Paul the Super Host & his lush, prickle-free grass encourage a barefoot experience along a perfect riverbend that allows fun for all ages, swimming abilities & fur babies!
After kindly meeting me by the road, Paul led me down to the site where my 3 dogs were WARMLY welcomed to vacate the car to greet & explore freely. He enjoys seeing the site being enjoyed & it is easy to do so!! Ample well kept space to utilize + bins, water, power & other provisions offered to aid camp comfort.
I stayed through the week travelling with a new rescue & Paul was kind enough to block out the other site so we could have a stress free experience with the place to ourselves 🐶...Super Host.
Full phone service meant I could also get my online work done, although it doesn't feel like work here ✨

A hidden gem - This property was beautiful! Well looked after, private, peaceful, plenty for the kids to do (the kayaks were an added bonus). We absolutely loved it! Paul was more than accommodating and we loved having a chat! Cant wait to come back!
