* EDIT WE ARE NOW CLOSED FOR THE WET SEASON...OPENING AGAIN 1st MAY 2026 * Caravan and RV ONLY camping on the banks of the Barron River. Large spacious bush sites with the option of fire pit. Abundant bird life, walks and swimming. This campsite suits self-contained campers equipped with drinking water supply as no potable water available. It also suits campers who enjoy the peace and quiet of the bush without loud neighbours. Of course quiet campfire banter is encouraged. BYO bike and cycle along the backroads passing through eucalypt bushland, cane fields and farming, finishing with lunch at a local coffee plantation. On the way home pop into the Mango Winery to top your day off with a delicious fruity champagne. NOTE; Dogs will be considered at the discretion of Rusty Pheasant owners. Please contact us prior to making a booking to discuss. Strict rules apply. Approval is only given if the breed, age and temperament is considered appropriate.
