Poinciana Farmstay offers beautiful grassy campsites nestled across 300 acres of nature, with magnificent views of the Bauple mountain range in the distance. We are situated just north of Gympie, minutes away from the new Bruce Highway bypass. We are only a short 20 minutes from Gympie town, as well as a 55-minute drive to the coastal town of Rainbow Beach, yet tucked away in a magnificent forestry landscape. Our farmstay is perfect for families and nature lovers, with swimming, fishing, and kayaking in the dams, as well as hours of hiking and mountain bike riding. There’s plenty of space to kick a soccer ball around or enjoy a round of cricket. We are a pet-friendly farm, as long as pets stay on a lead at all times. We also offer an up-close and personal experience feeding our farm cows and sheep. In-season fruit picking is available as an added bonus to your camping experience. We offer spacious, unpowered camping sites, each with its own fire pit — ideal for campers who are self-sufficient. Water (not for drinking) is available. Poinciana Farmstay is fantastic for those looking for a family-friendly, relaxing holiday surrounded by nature.

We absolutely loved Poinciana Farmstay. Clyde and Charmain were very welcoming, showed us to our site and were very hospitable. The farm was beautiful with lots of lovely bush tracks to walk along, the view from the hilltop was amazing, to see Kangaroos hopping around and the night sounds were typical of the Aussie bush (unlike suburbia). The shower and toilets have been built to fit in with the environment, very clever, a real toilet and a big bathroom with a lovely hot shower. Loved the fire pits. The stars in the evening were amazing and waking up overlooking the dam was superb. Thanks so much Clyde and Charmain for sharing your farm with us. Anna and Steve

Absolutely loved our few nights at the farm, the hosts were absolutely unreal and went so many steps further then any Hipcamp we have ever been to! My 5 year old son got to bottle feed one of the lambs! The views were 10/10! And the facility’s were immaculate! Don’t miss out!

We absolutely loved our stay! Clyde & Chairmain were such welcoming and hospitable hosts, making us feel right at home. It was our little one's first camping trip, and she still hasn't stopped talking about the animals, the train ride, and the amazing views from our campsite. It made for such a special experience. The campsites are well spaced, giving everyone plenty of space, and it was incredibly peaceful and quiet—the perfect place to switch off and enjoy nature. The amenities were fantastic too. Modern & spotless, while still preserving the property's unique history and character. We'll definitely be back next time we're in the area. Highly recommend!

What an amazing spot. Our first time on a farm stay and we loved it. The view was amazing and the property was beautifully kept. Clyde could not be more helpful and made us fell very welcome. The toilet and shower on the outside look like an old shack but on the inside are proper flush toilet and separate shower. Great location and wouldn’t hesitate to go again and recommend. Highly recommend this Hipcamp, conveniently located off the hi-way. Clyde and Charmain have created a wonderful spot to rest and recharge (bonus for being doggy friendly!). The amenities were outstanding with flushing toilets and hot showers disguised by an old tin exterior (which has its own history). We took advantage of the free use kayaks and went for a paddle in the dam. Lots of land to explore. Clyde and Charmain also gifted us a bunch of goodies including homegrown bananas, tomatoes and eggs!

Beautiful place, welcoming host, and you can see so much thought and effort has been put in to making the stay enjoyable. Kayaks to play on the dam, a fire pit, great views even from the valley sites, and an amazing clean flushing toilet and lovely hot shower set up!

Clyde and Charmain were exceptional hosts, welcoming, friendly and open to sharing their 300 acre property with us. We had booked the hilltop area but decided to camp down in the lower ‘valley’ camp site as it was particularly windy during our stay and we were looking for a bit more shelter. The hilltop is open and sunny, perfect for cold winter camping and we look forward to another stay up there. Clyde had recently added a new shower and toilet that were very clean. The property provided lots of opportunities to explore with several dams. Our dogs loved the swimming. We’ll camp again at Poinciana Farmstay as it’s also close to MX Farm for motorbike weekends away.

Our weekend at the farmstay was nothing short of unforgettable, and what truly stood out was the breathtaking scenery that surrounded us. The sunsets were especially magical. Waking up to the sounds of nature, fresh country air was incredibly refreshing. The owners, Clyde and Charmain made us feel very welcome and we are looking forward to our next visit.

We loved camping here! Such a beautiful, quiet area with the most amazing views and sunset. Clyde and Charmain were so lovely and were so generous to give us some home grown avocados and bananas. The dogs had the best time swimming in the dam & we would love to come back again in the future ! 🌅🏕️
