We enjoyed our stay at Pim’s Mountain Retreat. Access was easy, and there was a reasonably level site for our van, which we especially appreciated as we arrived after dark and it made settling in so much easier.
The view of the mountain was absolutely amazing, and the abundance of birdlife was a real highlight. Waking up surrounded by such beautiful scenery and so many birds made the stay feel wonderfully peaceful.
Brad was incredibly friendly, welcoming and helpful throughout our stay. He generously shared some delicious potatoes from his recent crop, which was such a lovely personal touch. When we had some car troubles, Brad went above and beyond to help us get back on the road — something we were extremely grateful for.
A beautiful location, and a memorable stay. We’d happily return and would recommend Pim’s Mountain Retreat.

Lovely big open site with a magnificent view of Crookneck. Great fire pit.
It's nice and open, great for solar, not so great if you are looking for shade.

Pims land is SO beautiful. You truly can’t beat this view in the glasshouse! It is a self contained camp without many amenities, but there was a water hose by the shed and two fire pits to choose from. And Pim was so friendly! For a more wild feeling camp, this property is truly perfect and I would come back in a heartbeat!
We had a great stay! Dog friendly and amazing views! Couldn’t ask for more!
The view of the mountain was spectacular. Pim came by and gave me a punnet of her strawberries which was a lovely touch. The free wifi was also a great bonus.
It wasn't very secluded or private though so if you're after solitude, it's probably not the place for you. The site was next to a large shed that workers accessed in the morning. It also sits on a road that got a little noisy from early in the morning.
In saying that, it was a lovely spot and the mountain view was worth it.

Good spot! We spent 2 nights here while we did Australia Zoo and the surrounding hikes. We had a 18m truck and van, top camping spot wasn't usable as we couldn't level our van so we used the gravel pad at the shed. Pressure pump with tank water was available but we used our own.

The setting is lovely on a level gravel area looking over the acreage with a view of the striking volcanic plug of Mt Coonawarra. The Wi-Fi is an added bonus.
Pim’s campsite was fantastic. It’s a 1 site camp, meaning you have the entire camp to yourself, however you have two different campsites to choose between! The view of the mountain is the highlight, it makes for incredible photos at sunset/sunrise. My dog absolutely loved the private space as well. Will definitely be back!

Easily accessible camp site with an amazing view. Wide open area with the choice of 2 spots to set up your camp. Would 100% recommend Pims Mountain Retreat and would stay there again.

Beautiful well-maintained grounds only downside is no toilet but this place is absolutely amazing and I definitely wanted to stay there longer than the two nights by the end
Perfect spot for a weekend away. We absolutely loved our stay here and will definitely be back.
It is a one-site booking but you have the choice of two camp spots - one on a level gravel pad by the shed, and the other on lush, mown grass. The hosts have provided fire pits at both, which is such a lovely touch.
We chose to camp on the grassy site, closer to the mountain. It meant there wasn’t shade, but with the cooler weather that wasn’t a problem at all.
You are fairly close to a busy road, so there is some traffic noise during the day, and there are other residences in the distance - so pack your shower dome.
That said, all of this is absolutely worth it because the real showstopper is the view. Watching the sun set behind Mount Coonowrin is spectacular.
Another big plus is the price. So many Hipcamp stays are charging premium rates these days and starting to price themselves out for everyday campers. This site is just $30 a night for 2, which is fantastic to see.
Affordable, scenic, and a beautiful spot for a weekend escape. 🤍

Top notch place for camping, highly recommended. Make it on your list
The view of the mountain is spectacular. There are two spots to choose from one near the green shed, and one up on the lawn closer to the mountain. They’re just been a couple of weeks of heavy rain so therefore we decided to camp on the gravel near the shed, but both areas have a fire pit so all good. It is in a farming area so the flies were quite bad however the view makes up for it.

Really nice spot for a stopover! We really enjoyed sitting around the fire and watching the sun set behind the mountain
There is only one site which you have to yourself. It has amazing views of Mount Coonowrin. There are two places to park - on the gravel next to the old shed or up further around the firepit which has direct views of the mountain. It does have water and free Wi-Fi which was a bonus. You do hear a little bit of traffic from old Gympie Road but it didn’t bother us.

Not my first time here and definitely not the last either. Really great site with wonderful privacy and amazing views.
Easy to find, no check in necessary, private, peaceful, amazing view. Happy to go without ammenities for the great short stay. Will 100% be staying again. PSA, take advantage of the sunset
Great spot, with a superb view. Easy to find, close to shops and pubs. Open and flat space to set up camp.
We stopped for 1 night @ Pim’s and found it very relaxing with a beautiful view of the mountain. The site was clean, tidy and well maintained. The only thing I would change is having the option to pay extra to have power as it was quite warm and the shed was blocking the breeze. Apart from that, I would recommend staying at Pims, it would be just beautiful in winter with a fire.

Pims is an great spot in the middle of the Glass House Mountains. We've been twice as a stopover for further travels. It is perfect for those wanting to explore and hike the mountains. Although it is classed as a single site, it has two options one of which is flat and easy or up the hill a little but a struggle to get level in a can. The view of the mountain is stunning. Hosts are lovely. Its quiet and private. Highly recommend. Even had a visit in the night by a weird tall bird that did a strange dance near the fire pit.

Cons
Bindys all around gravel ( been sprayed so looked dying) but not great for kids or doggos.
Close to road so hear traffic very close by
But all in all was lovely
