We have 178 acres of beautiful land hidden in the hills of Tarome in the Scenic Rim community. An amazing view of the national park and Cunninghams Gap. There is a hidden creek at the back of the property that never runs dry, running from Gap Creek Falls at the top of Cunninghams Gap. The location is perfect for a quick getaway or long stay, complete privacy and little reception depending on your phone service, ensuring a peaceful camping stay. There is lots of activities within a short drive from the property including fishing at Lake Moogerah, hiking the mountain tops or having brunch at the amazing local cafe's in the area. Our campsites are hidden in the hills, down by the creek or out in the open. You will need a 4 WD to access the rear of the property. There is a steep incline at the beginning of the track followed by a tight corner because of this caravans must be off road and under 17 ft. Make sure your car has the power and weight to get it up the hill. There are 3 x 2WD camping options for caravans over 17ft or those not off road. Depending on the type of vehicle and van will dictate your camping locations. Maximum caravan access for the rear of the property is 17ft off road van. This is due to the hill climb and a tight corner at the top. Please be aware of the weight you are towing and your car is capable of pulling it up the hill. Dogs are welcome but must stay within the camp, be under control or on a leash. If you have friends who you want to invite but don't have camping gear that's okay, we have the option to hire a camper trailer. All they need to bring is food and drinks. Only 1 available, please see Extras. We welcome self-contained campers who bring their own camping toilet/shower, and drinking water. All human, food and general waste is to be removed upon leaving the campsite. We have fireplaces set up but if you prefer a different site for your fire please bring your own fire pit. Good Firewood for camp ovens etc is available for purchase under Extras. Pre order your wood. For this one off price we will supply you for wood for your whole stay. There is sometimes wood located at each campsite but the amount and quality is varied. Check in and out times are flexibility but please arrange time prior to arrival

Front corner 2WD
We had a great one-night stay here. The host was very welcoming and made the whole experience easy from the start. The scenery was beautiful with rolling hills in the background and horses grazing right up around the camp, which made it feel peaceful and close to nature. Fresh air, quiet surroundings, and a relaxing atmosphere — exactly what we were looking for. Would happily stay again!

We loved our time at Over The Creek. The hosts were friendly and helpful (their dog was also very sweet) Well maintained site with plenty of space. The creek was beautiful. Would definitely recommend and we are already talking about a return trip.

This is a great hideaway retreat. Definitely need that 4 WD low and would need good mud tyres in the wet to traverse the way out as it is over 30 degrees. We really enjoyed the campfire plenty of wood in the purchase pack and we also hired the toilet. It gives you enough of an experience to see if the family wants to get into the trekking and remote atmosphere. There is very patchy coverage for 5or 4 G but that isn’t a bad thing. Nice flowing creek very few mozzies because of the flow but again if it rains I feel you would be pretty quickly into snorkel trrritory. But the owners are great have a chat with them because they are very helpful.

Beautiful spot!! The creek is absolutely stunning and we had so much fun splashing around on these hot days. Th camp area was fantastic, green, clean, tons of room and lots of shade. Kids ran around bare foot, no bindies or prickles. Thanks for having us, look forward to the next trip!

Such a beautiful spot!! Felt like we had our own private pocket even though the site was full for the long weekend. Lovely creek with some deeper pools for swimming, beautiful views up the top, and very friendly cows that meander through the property. Will be back!

What a gem of a place! We camped at the front corner by the creek. It was so lovely with stunning views of Mt Mitchell. The cows and horses would roam around our area and are very friendly. The owners were really nice and welcoming. They made sure we had enough wood, etc. the 4WD to the bigger creek is worth it. Very relaxing with breathtaking views!

Secluded spot completely to ourselves so close to the creek, it was amazing. The owner was so lovely and accommodating helping guiding my partner to our spot. The creek was beautiful, crystal clear and so fun to explore.

Host met us at the gate and drove us to our spot which we really appreciated due to the burst of wet weather that happened as we arrived. Spot was secluded, clean and beautiful; right next to the creek which was awesome to explore. The tracks that were wet on the drive in dried up quick as for an easy leaving drive. 10/10 spot for a secluded private getaway.

Very quiet and spacious. Flat sites with a little creek. Deep enough for a paddle. Lovely room for our dog but it’s a working farm so cattle and horses in the paddock. No problem. Fire place and wood available for purchase. Great bakery 15 mins drive to Aratula.

The hosts were there to greet us on arrival and personally showed us to our site, which was incredibly spacious and beautifully maintained. They were so kind and friendly, which made us feel welcome straight away. The location itself is stunning, and because we stayed midweek, we had the whole creek area to ourselves. It was peaceful and perfect. Our kids had the best time running around and exploring. We can’t wait to come back!

What an absolutely lovely property! We had horrible weather during our stay and we still enjoyed this place. Lovers lane site has limited flat spots so bring your chocks if you’re in a van or a RTT but the creek there is just magical. Our two dogs loved exploring and meeting a few of the property’s cows. The night sky is exactly what you look for when camping, and it’s so peaceful and quiet. Aratula is only 25 mins away if you need supplies and the pub serves a good feed if you don’t feel like cooking. We sneak peeked all the sites and the owners keep them so wonderfully maintained. Would absolutely recommend Over the Creek and we will absolutely be back! Note to grubs who seem to think being self contained means leaving loo paper about - please don’t ruin what these great owners have created, take ALL your rubbish with you.

We had a lovely time, really good sized sites. Wood was waiting for us when we pulled up. Hosts were lovely and went over and beyond. Nice to listen to creek whilst sitting around the camp fire very relaxing. Nice surprise seeing the horses and cattle roam around the camp-site. Thankyou we will definitely be back.
