Immerse yourself in the vibrant multicultural markets, indulge in the rich indigenous arts and cultural experiences, and embark on scenic bushwalking trails. Don't miss the chance to explore the diverse range of local crafts and immerse yourself in the captivating atmosphere of Cooktown. Guests must be fully self contained with their own toilet/shower facilities and must take all waste with them on departure. No pets or children under 12 are allowed, sorry.  Thank you.

Position your caravan and vehicle on 9mx 6m level well drained ground, just 40m inside the front boundary. Please park outside the property first, meet the owner and walk in, to negotiate your best entry - likely by reversing your van into position. The site is surrounded by tropical gardens, with food plants growing between the Kang Kong Caravan Site 1 and the Banana Edge Caravan Site 2, which is located on the lower level. You have access to her own power outlet and nice tasting bore water gravity fed from a tank to a tap, situated in the shared space between the two caravan sites. There is a Pond to the left, as you enter the property from the road, which is fenced off. This area must not be entered for your own safety. * IMPORTANT: 1) You must bring your own hose to connect to and top up your Van's water tank. 2) Please ensure you do not leave the tap open / hose left on or the entire property's water supply will be drained. 3) When you book this site, you accept full responsibly for anyone in your care, ensuring that they also DO NOT ENTER for their own safety. Guests must be fully self contained with their own toilet/shower facilities and must take all waste with them on departure. No pets or children under 12 are allowed.  10 minute drive to historical Cooktown, Endeavour River, Cooktown Wharf, The Esplanade and uncrowded beaches for easy picnicking and a fine range dining out options, IGA supermarket and post office.

Guests will enjoy retreating from the traffic, relaxing in nourishing gardens, whilst being close enough to enjoy the local services, abundant birdlife, visit multicultural and natural landscapes that Cooktown and surrounds offer. Each of the 3 sites has it's own tap providing campers with access to underground unpolluted, nice tasting water, that is gravity fed from the water tank at the top of the property, pumped from 23 m below ground level, via a bore pump. PLEASE NOTE: Guest will need to provide their own hook up hose. These sites are NOT CONNECTED to MAINSTREAM POWER, so guests will need to be equipped with their own off grid power systems, as well as have their own shower and toileting facilities. Banana Edge Caravan Site 2
Sandy was the perfect hostess. Everything was as described and the setting was lovely. Handy to everything and very quiet. Sandy made sure we had everything we needed and advised us on local attractions and sites to visit. Would go there again at the drop of a hat.

Kang Kong Caravan Site 1
We just just loved staying with Sandy the area was 100% just beautiful immaculately kept and we were made feel so welcome. I would highly recommend staying but be aware once you do you will want to stay longer.
