And when the sun sets, immerse yourself in the vibrant nightlife, dining, and shopping in the strip of Airlie Beach, including the famous lagoon only 12 minutes’ drive. Please note that this camp site is a self-sufficient location with no toilet or shower facilities available. Tank water is available at the main house. A wheely bin is available for small rubbish removal, however large rubbish removal will need to be taken to the tip located 5 minutes down the road across from the shopping centre. Additionally, it is important to note that midges may present in the area during early morning and afternoon before sundown The entrance is off road however can be easily accessed by a two-wheel drive. Cozy night in private site

Great night spent here! The site was rather small, but it ensured quiet and privacy. We had a super warm reception by Tenielle despite the late arrival, she even piled up us some wood for the fire :)

Camping in Nature

We spend 2 nights in Natures Nook and it was wonderful! The camp was very clean and welcoming. Bonus point to the Northerlies Beach Bar & Grill shuttle, which was able to pick us up in front of the camp to have a great evening.

A nice and convenient camping spot just outside Airlie. We found it handy as it's far enough out of town to be very quiet, and close enough to ensure quick access. The camp site is also well hidden, so privacy was no issue. My wife and I camped in our free-standing tent - which was less comfortable as the camp site itself is not grassed and more a dirt-patch. I'd say it's better suited to camper vans or roof-top, tray, or trailer tents. But we have good sleeping pads, so this did much affect the quality of our stay. Tenielle was lovely, good communication, and no trouble either. My only complaint would be of the neighbours. There was some notable dog-barking and music playing in the evenings.

Will satisfy the frugal camper

If you are very budget constrained, particularly with 3 or more guests then this camp site might suffice. It feels private with the tree line around however the neighbours were rowdy both nights we stayed, and early morning trucks and machinery noise meant for a late night and early rise. Some interesting night birds can be heard after dark as a bonus. Any accommodation that is close to Airlie has inflated prices so natures nook is definitely a cheap option. But if you're after a quiet retreat at the end and start of your day, this semi rural setting isn't going to deliver.
