The property is right near the Mowbray National Park and the Bump Track which is a popular and memorable mountain-biking experience for those who love to ride. You might also like to explore further and do a day trip up to the Daintree. Your friendly host is always happy to share local knowledge so you can get the best out of your trip. Campers will need to be self sufficient with their own toilet/shower facilities and must take all waste and rubbish with them on departure. Camping with the Aliens 🤣
Very private, lots of water around, quiet and casual. Would have liked more time but wasn't to be. We truly just relaxed and swam at gorgeous Spring Creek. Definitely recommend thanks 🙏

Could be better
Close to port Douglas good position, The grass was way to long and looks like no one lives there no caretaker, There is no signage for the property/ camp or marked out spaces to camp in it was slightly hard to figure out where to camp, and if it was the actual spot. No reception for phone or net ( not really a problem) Bit costly for just a tap in a field Could be better for the $30 a night

Place was very nice. Owner too. Sad that it was full of flies and mozzies so we couldn‘t eat outside. Maybe we were unlucky.

A hidden gem far from the crowds
Aka Tranquility Inn.. Well maintained grassed sites with shade. Loved that it was at the trail head of the Bump Track. No through traffic allowed for us to hear the lovely critters and birds during the night. The Dawn chorus of the birds was delightful to wake up to. Highly recommend.

Mowbray Springs camp is a great location 15 minutes from hustle and bustle of Port Douglas and five minutes from the Mowbray River croc viewing bridge. It is in a lovely hilly country setting and was quiet and very spacious with only two other caravans there. There are no facilities except a water tap that clogged our water filter within minutes - better get water from Mossman tap under tree adjacent church. Did not have the opportunity to meet the host in our three nights stay. We would stay there again and recommended for those that don’t enjoy the caravan park experience.

Overall site was good. Big trucks going past every 20 min filled with dirt was annoying. Dust flying around even though they where spraying with water. There must be a quarry around corner

Quiet camp to explore Port Douglas
Great quiet spot to stay in for visiting Port Douglas. It is at the end of a dirt road which was in excellent condition. One water tap if you need it. We loved it and would come again.

Great quiet location close to Port Douglas and at the start of the Bump Track. Nice grassy, level sites with plenty of sun or shade. Be prepared for the owners dog to wander into your camp site though. She's friendly, but our cat wasn't impressed. We didn't get to meet our host.
