The farm is perfect for an overnight or even a few days particularly families with children. It is set up for kids to explore, learn and interact with the animals on the farm. Our kids loved patting and brushing Penny the miniature hourse!

We absolutely loved our stay at Mountview camping and poodles. The hosts were lovely. Our kids 6 & 8 did not want to leave here. They enjoyed playing with and feeding the animals and playing with other kids on the swing set and trampoline. Friday night popcorn and movie on the big screen was a huge hit as well. We are already looking at when we can stay again.

We absolutely loved our time at Mountview Farm Stay! Jason and Katie were so very accommodating of us. Our kids had an absolute blast seeing the animals, exploring the farm and playing with the multiple activities all over the property and we would highly recommend the Farm Stay to anyone. Will definitely be back again ❤️

This was our second stay here. Great place to stay, plenty of room and plenty of animals to keep the kids entertained.
The whole paddock is level and well maintained and levelling the van is no issue at all.
Firewood was provided at a small fee and plenty of fire pits so I didn't have to pull out my own.
We will be back.

Went for the Albinism awareness event they had across a saturday. Great set up with sheep, cows, goats, pigs and even guinea pigs to pat. The team of volunteers were friendly and passionate about the farm and animals. Big area, with campers and RVS on a different section to where the event was happening. They also had yummy freshly popped popcorn and a sausage sizzle happening, and some beautiful handmade pieces for sale.

Such a stunning place, great for the kids with the massive swings, trampoline and monkey bars. They also loved feeding the goats and cows and patting the pony. Can’t recommend enough, we had such a great family day.

Absolutely fantastic place to relax, the hosts are the best people. We have made life long friends and will be back, this is now our go to place to unwind and relax, kids love the farm animals and helping out around the farm. Don't take my word come on out and find your own new friends for life.

Family Picnic on the Farm!
My son absolutely loved his time with the animals. From the moment we arrived and till the time we left (9am-11:15am) my son and I had a great time. Animal feed was supplied, food and drinks were available to purchase and we were entertained the whole time.

We can't say enough about this place, from the moment you drive through the gate the hosts will go out of there way to make sure your stay is fantastic. You get to meet all the animals, the kids all get to mingle, play on the swings, kick a football together or maybe a game of cricket, at night kids go play spotlight and the adults get to mingle around the campfire exchanging stories and making new life long friends. I could go on and on but the best way to find your best stay is to book. We have made this our new go to place. Thanks guys

What a absolute gem! Only 30 minutes south of Townsville. Big open spaces, bore water id you need it. Amazing setup for kids - animals, swings, Playground,. We loved it here so much. The hosts go above and beyond to make your stay enjoyable. Friday night drinks around the fire for the adults, movie and popcorn for kids. This place is a must stay during your travels.

I love event single time I come back to this place. Katie and Jason are the kindest hosts and it is such a beautiful location at the foothills. It’s the perfect distance from town and I feel so safe leaving my van and my dog for the day knowing it’s a great place with great owners. Cannot recommend this place more ❤️

We have been meaning to come and check this place out for a while now and it did not disappoint! The hosts Katie and Jason were so welcoming and very kid friendly, nothing was too much trouble. The kids loved playing on the farm, feeding the animals and roaming free all weekend. The movie night and popcorn on Friday was an added bonus too. Before we had even left they were asking when we could return! Thanks for a great weekend guys , we will definitely be back soon 😊

The host are fantastic and go out of there way to hat with all the campers and kids and made our time amazing and so welcoming. We hired the glamping caravan and had everything we needed and more. Kids had so much fun and hated when it was time to go home and already asking us when are we going back. Also the animal tour and feeding farm animals for only $10 p/p was definitely worth it. Not sure who had more fun.. me or the kids.
We will definitely be back.
